Fingerless Mitts are my favorite, been wanting to knit them for years since I started back knitting. Wasn't happy @using double pointed needles. So excited your podcast popped up. I never thought to search for flat instructions. I checked quite a few podcasts. I love that this is in two languages so I can add to my Spanish vocabulary 😄 I will let you know how I do.
Found this fingerless knitting tutorial at 2am this morning.for me this is the best way ever as i always wanted to knit my very own.had been looking for awhile now on youtube&now i have found the easiest way for me to start ..thank you Myrna&i will subscribe ❤

@@KnittingwithMyrna I have a question. When you put your stitches on the holder, you said 19 stitches, do you take one of the stitches in the middle to make 19 stitches in each side?
I have question... At 9:41 when you started to first increase and placing markers... I'm currently making this... I first made 38 stitches and o started the whole ribbing and knitting process after that the step at 9:41 I knit the first 18 stitches then place the marker and made an increase then knit two stitches placed another another marker..but I have 16 stitches left not 18... What should I do? What have I done wrong? Please help me!!...😕😕
Hi Ayesha! A solution that might work is to knit 2 stitches front and back to add the 2 stitches you need to get to 18 stitches. If you don't feel comfortable doing the increase continue knitting the 16 stitches and write that reminder down for the second glove. Good luck and I'm here for you!
If you think about it, 18 - 4 - 18 doesn't equal 38, it equals 40. So not sure if the initial number of cast on stitches was wrong. I did 17 - 4 - 17, which works out to 38 in total :)
That is also an option. It all depends on how wide or stretchy you need the junction for thumb to be. I keep any modification on a piece of paper in order to remember it for the second glove. Thank you for your input and for sharing it with the group. 👍🏼♥️🧶
Ravelry has several free patterns for fingerless gloves. I would recommend to search "Easy Fingerless Mittens" worked flat, with thumbs or without thumbs. Good luck! Keep me posted! I would love to see your work. 😍

Loved your video, I’m so confused when it comes to the double needle stuff. So this was great. I used the mattress stitch to so mine together however.

Looks like a great video. But I have worsted yarn and DK is thinner than worsted. Would love to see a video using worsted weight. Thanks.
Thank you! Good idea!! I'll try to make a pair using worsted weight yarn.
I used worse weight and they are coming out great! This video is the best ever.

@@cortheniabolin7363 absolutely! You can use straight needles. They will work perfectly with this pattern.

@@cortheniabolin7363 I believe that's what I did. I'm so sorry for the confusion and less than perfect knitting.

I faced the same issue..ripped it all out..cast on 40stitches😂
I'm having the same issue, I think I'm going to do the 17+4+17 thing that Jess said
Hi sorry, at junction for thumb, we have 38 stitches, knit 18, marker, kfb, k2, kfb, knit 18 to end, I make that you’ll need 40, 2 inc = 42

Howdo I get free pattern for fingerless gloves by Myrna?
How many stitches did you cast on?
Hi, 38 stitches ❤🎉
The same thing happened to me and I casted on 38 stitches
Why did the sticthes dont work out in beggining of marker row, first 18 st, but last sts only 16 and not 18. Please help

The same thing happened to me and I casted on 38sts so there must be a mistake in the pattern somewhere.
