Michael McDonald has one of the most soulful voices you'll ever hear. He joined the Doobie Brothers in 1975. The original plan was for him to be a temporary member to help out with the vocals. They liked him so much he became a full-time member, and eventually became the lead vocalist.

He sang a duet with Patti LaBelle--called On My Own--beautiful and heartbreaking.
McDonald also did lots of session work for Steely Dan..His contributions to thier 1978 Grammy-winning LP "Aja" were huge...Then iin the 90's he did an LP of Motown hits, and it was a big seller too..With a soulful voice like that, ya can't go wrong!! Great pick and a good weekend to ya, Mo!!

I guess you already figured he was in the Doobie Brothers. Kenny Loggins was also in that band and he went solos. You make like him as well, but in my opinion, Michael McDonald is a more talented voxalist. He also appeared in the band Toto’s video and son in “I’ll Be Loving You”!!!!!!❤
