Baltimore Inner Harbor Underwater Footage

  • Did you know the Inner Harbor is actually teeming with life just below the surface? Our underwater camera caught sight of many different species beneath the floating island the Aquarium installed this summer to improve water quality. Where there's a healthy habitat, there is flourishing life. See the results for yourself!

    All the 68 years I've lived in Baltimore, I never realized the different sealife in our Harbor. A lot of people don't realize that our harbor is much cleaner than it was in the 50s and 60s. There used to be oil slicks continually in the harbor for years.

      Those sorts of things don't happen because of self regulation, or deregulation. They happen because of the rule of law. Don't let them fool you 😏

    I am amazed to see so much "life" in that harbor despite the pollution. Baltimore City should make a better effort to clean it up.

    They didn't go all the way to the bottom, you would have "guy with cement shoes" and "discarded handgun"

    Well damn I’ve only Seen jelly fish but I had no idea all those fish lived in the harbor due to how dirty it is

      @@bubbaclinton1105 I probably wouldn't keep anything but it would be fun to fish there. There was a large school of spot that swam by. That would make great live lining bait down around the Bay Bridge stanchions
