I saw these guys in 94 or 95 and it was one of the only concerts where I sat in the front row the lead singer was putting everything he had into it. I mean dude's veins were popping out, sweat was pouring off him, it was a great performance. Funky song.

Kyuss soooooo ruled back in the day. I worked with a now-defunct club called Papa Joe's in Baton Rouge, LA to get these guys booked on this tour...then about 2 or 3 weeks before they were supposed to perform they split. So the show never happened. I saw them at Tipitina's in New Orleans on the Sky Valley tour....thank you to my friend Al Hodge of Tungsten for videotaping that show. I still have that video and watch it periodically. Kyuss just ruled and were like no one else.

As a young 90’s lad, I often skipped this song when listening to the album. Now i can see it is a very well structured song with plenty of melody and super grinding bass-amp guitar. It seems Kyuss were indeed ahead of their time.

Can't believe people are actually bashing Garcia, the man sings with some fucking passion. Whenever people ask me about my favorite singers, I always tell them Neil Fallon, John Garcia, and Rob Halford.
Halford is technically the best singer of the three, but that's not all you look for in a singer, which is why I consider the other two on par with him.

therestimenow Mike Patton is a terrific singer. He's more than just "good at what he does". He has the highest range of any other known singer alive. He can sing in almost any style. You should probably listen to his stuff beyond Faith No More. He can sing opera songs for crying out loud.

Why is it that I think if the original members of Kyuss reunited, it would be a very successful reunion?
Set aside the past. Be humble. Acknowledge each others differences. Laugh at your stubbornness, your own faults. You have fans who want to experience a reunion.
    Forgive each other.

Legends!! They had that big mean fat saturated wall of sound sound no one had before them. And Garcia is such a brilliant singer. Too bad they disbanded, I never liked QotSA quite as much.

+Ruby Smith That's so badass. Kyuss sounds like some sort of superhero that can turn into a pterodactyl and glide around the desert, but it's set in like 1908 or something and he stops banditos and outlaw gangs and shit. To me that's even cooler than the d&d villian, and he's pretty cool. You're a cool dad.

I found this CD in a used but not antique shop for $6, i thought my car's CD drive ate it because it wouldn't play and eject (unlike me...hahahaha), but it settled in and it sounds great on 2015 era Sony / Ford Audio
