I saw these guys in 94 or 95 and it was one of the only concerts where I sat in the front row the lead singer was putting everything he had into it. I mean dude's veins were popping out, sweat was pouring off him, it was a great performance. Funky song.
Kyuss soooooo ruled back in the day. I worked with a now-defunct club called Papa Joe's in Baton Rouge, LA to get these guys booked on this tour...then about 2 or 3 weeks before they were supposed to perform they split. So the show never happened. I saw them at Tipitina's in New Orleans on the Sky Valley tour....thank you to my friend Al Hodge of Tungsten for videotaping that show. I still have that video and watch it periodically. Kyuss just ruled and were like no one else.
As a young 90’s lad, I often skipped this song when listening to the album. Now i can see it is a very well structured song with plenty of melody and super grinding bass-amp guitar. It seems Kyuss were indeed ahead of their time.
Kyuss is one of those bands have I continued to listen to constantly for over 20 years since I heard them at one of my brother's mad shed parties. I was gutted when I missed out on a ticket to see them in Australia.
one of the greatest 90s bands, and should have much more recognition then they should AND still go out as a band that I (nor you probably!) have never seen play live... The trippiest, most atmospheric rock.
14 years in waiting.... My mate stuffed some phones on my ears and played this song to me (via his trusty CD walkman). I really liked it but never asked him who the band was. Until now. Great f#cken guitar riff to ride the song!!!!
I remember listening to Kyuss back in the early 90's, but only due to my older brother being a guitarist and having a very large record collection of 'underground' and independant types of rock music. Nobody else I know has ever heard of them! Period!!
I played this song for a program director of a college rock/alternative radio station when WTSV came out. He said it sounded like good background music. He was fired in 3 months. The station changed formats a few months later.
