What a lovely Static! i lived in one back in 2002 for 10 months, it was considered a Residential spec, it had extra insulation in the roof and under the floor, was a lovely van and at the time was 5 years old, but posher than any house i could afford! It also had central heating with radiators in all rooms, cant remember if it had a fire in the main lounge? i think it did? It also had fixed furniture in the lounge, although the kitchen/dining area was free standing and moveable, it may of been a willerby? but i dont know if im honest, but was a lovely van, how they have come on is amazing!
They have come on the Gainsborough looked at was built to res specification too though a straight holiday spec is available too - one of the nicest i have seen for awhile - thanks for your experience Michael
Lovely to get a look inside that Lodge Andy. Nice to dream for a few minutes but the price tag for me is way of over my budget. Still it's very well built and it oozes luxury, very bright and airy, lovely master bedroom and ensuite. The cladding does up the price considerably. Great video again Andy well done!
Thank you Kevin - is a nice lodge but beyond my price but they sell lots for your cash and well finished and a decent spec thanks for your kind words again Kevin

Im afraid thats the market just been talking to a designer in static caravans and thats the way they are being pushed to get modern with new materials - shame nothing grabs your eye but thats how its going - thanks for comment
Do the manufacturers not realise the people who buy new static caravans are retirees, the only people who can afford them. families with kids go abroad for their holidays and cannot afford to pay £2 to3 grand ground rent, a grand running cost and HP of over £3K on their van. looked at Wiillerbys hull factory and they have hundreds of vans sitting around possibly last years models. there are over 5000 sites around England and as current economic data shows a recession is due. those new or last seasons models will not be sold at a profit but more like a loss. You do not buy a house with all the furniture so why a static caravan with furniture that you do not like.
Well right look I know what your saying but their are some families around with the cash but its the park owners that make the money in setting up and connections - a static is a different lifestyle to how it was. No its not a cheap holiday anymore and to be honest there is a massive choice on the market so something for everybody. The industry has been in many dips and come put the other side usually unscathed but with rocketing holiday prices abroad for a few weeks of sun and thats your lot ,many buy a holiday home for using weekends and weeks plus parents usually lend out the van to their kids - its a long term purchase my sister is on her fourth static owning them for 20 years to 5 they love it and I do when I visit - good to hear your comments - yes the cheap caravan holiday was over years ago a shame but customer demand for more style, luxury and now many parks open 50 weeks a year to. I wouldnt spend 70k on a campervan - plenty do and love it !

We are hoping to go in feb, we are away in scotland oct 😊
another question. when does a lodge become a park home ?
built to res spec lodges can be used but more designed as holiday living not full time living if that makes sense Paul
Ex works £82000 by the time site owners have got their hands on it they will probably want £110000.
No poor site owners - though I think that may have to change and charges lowered but agree some wallop it on !
I have not seen any Caravan model I would ever buy. they are full of designer content nothing that takes my fancy for a practical life in a caravan.
