- On May 15th, 2009, Michael Jenkins presented a webcast to the CMT Association membership as part of the 2009 Symposium.
Michael S. Jenkins is a private trader and publisher of the Stock Cycles Forecast newsletter. He has worked in bank trust departments as a portfolio manager, ran three mutual funds and was in the top ten managers in the world in the late 70’s and early 80’s. In 1984 he moved to NYC to become a professional trader for a number of NYSE Specialist firms. In the past, Michael has been licensed as a stockbroker, commodity broker, hedge fund manager, and investment advisor.
In 1985 he founded his current investment newsletter, which has correctly called almost every major bull and bear market turn in the past 25 years, including the 1987 crash, the 1990 break, the year 2000 bear market and its exact lows in 2002 and 2003. Michael predicted the final top in 2007 within two days. Because of this notoriety, he was a weekly guest on CNBC for 12 years, and is the frequent subject of magazine articles on trading and technical analysis. He has written four books and two courses on professional stock market trading and is considered an authority on cycles in the economy and the stock market.
Michael studied economics and business administration at Washington & Lee University and graduated with a B.S. in Commerce in 1971. In 1975 he received an MBA from George Mason University, and in 1976 he passed the Uniform CPA examination.
As of 26th april, 2023 the gold reached 2000$. He actually nailed it perfectly.. from 2009

Perhaps he is the programmer of the pricw delivery algorithm that uses these ancient mathematical principles.
Also pergaps the biying and selling is only to add an element of volatility to price.
I often pondered why when charts were at some point of interest at the same time some geopolitical or economic event would take place.
This is wild, could our reality also be predetermined by mathematics?

@@amriksingh5003 sorta just started trading with it...will report back. Surgically precise tho ... I still look for confluence with diff tf harmonics and also regular price harmonics. Jenkins says himself to confirm before trade. But I do think it's more prescriptive than other forms of TA. Geo is the holy grail

Thank You for uploading this video. I couldnt really understand then content due to the blurriness of the video. Is anyone willing to explain the trend line concept to me?
Easy. take any low price, take squre root of this. add 2 to it. Squre the new figure. Now draw a trend line starting from low to new figure we got by adding 2 and suaring. Extend this , you got the JTTL. for example . Low is $100. suare root of it is 10. add 2. becomes 12. Square it becomes 144. Draw the trend line starting from $100 to $144 and extend it. Done.
@@amriksingh5003 Gann square of 9. Easy pisy. We forecast the future so remember the universe is a cycle and the bull market gives birth to the bear market aka the trendline Gann fan can be draw using previous market. Adding your timing system then you know the trend change dates. Astro helps confirm. It is not a 100% (sometimes yes but most time not). When the time and price confirms, bingo you have a 100% setup. Otherwise you still have over 90% win rate in the trade until you lost in the market for a while.
I had good time and bad time. Lost big and win big. In the end, it is all about emotion.
trendline from 100 to 144.. so if 100 was on 01/01/2000 then should we take 144 as point on 01/01/2001.. is it drawn 365 days into future..

I am still trying to figure out only 1 technic that works. But I can't. Just his forecast about his crash on October 5, 2009! Anyone out there looking at the charts? It was the most amazing bull run of all time. This is a BIG MISS. If you cannot predict this MEGA bull run, you can certainly not predict small moves. It may work from time to time, but you can always make things work when you want. But for making money out of this, GOOD LUCK. I am now in the camp of Gann's son. He always said that his father was good at selling books, but nothing else. The only way this could work, would be that everybody follows the same system so it becomes self-prophecy.
You can analyse after the move is finished. Trust me ( not being arrogant) even Michael cant predict. every thing sells in Gann's name. If you cant make money by trading, teach others and make money.

WOW, I found it very hard to believe what he was saying. He reminds me of a snake oil salesman. I get the impression that he makes a lot of this stuff up to confuse you and if you don't understand it, it's because you're not smart enough.
