As the GOAT discussion comes up, I somehow feel offended for Kobe whenever mainstream media just casually dismisses him in the conversation when this champion literally sacrificed so much for the game. Rest in peace Black Mamba.
All of us are offended. If that mainstream media glances over him i just dont take them seriously anymore, its very simple.
I SO MAD AT MAINSTREAM MEDIA!!!111 MAKE MAD!1
In my book, It's Jordan then Kobe.
No. A real basketball fan will say what you said.....just in the opposite order. Its KOBE then Michael. Dont forget that!
@@cecilcash1344 Jordan as a rookie averaged what Kobe did in his MVP season and this is just one of the things MJ is the goat Kobe ain’t even better than the king
Kobe is a definition of "hardwork". This man really is an inspiration for me and the world of basketball. Never forgotten.
Not just basketball. Dedication can be used for anything, i use it to grow my business
If Jordan is the ultimate competitor, Kobe is the ultimate hardworker.
Absolutely
Yeah,Kobe worked extra hard to make those RAPE-CHARGES disappear !!! LOL. He should've kept his pants ZIPPED !!! LOL.
Basketball of course but any athlete or any body who works hard. I’m a football player and the first person I always go to in hard times is kobe
Kobe is the rock lee of real life if I cannot make 800 shots then I will do 400 laps and if I cannot do 400 laps then I will do 500 push-ups this man is honestly insane
Fr lmaoooo
A beast he searched for perfection
I'd have to go with Bruce Lee after he was more modeled after him
All that didnt really help though
@@jonnyblayze5149 what
Kobe Bryant needs to be the logo of the NBA.
That man is the epitome of everything the NBA should be. He is the one player in NBA history more than others, that could honestly say he couldn't have done any more. He got 100% of everything he was gifted with and used it to the maximum.
He left absolutely nothing on the court. This is a man so driven that he went hard until his body literally quit, and then made the free throws.
They can't because they already own the original and it's super famous it's like Jordans switching their logo what would they do with all the things they own with h the other logo .
Do you say epi-tome too?
Still can't believe this man is gone. Way 2 soon . 🙏 🕊

@Certified Big Dog what?
This is the kind of stuff that impresses me the most. Jordan was great, probably the greatest, but Jordan had genetic gifts that Kobe could only dream of. Gigantic hands, insane jumping ability, freak speed, incredible gas tank... Kobe had small hands and his vertical leap was 38". Other than being reasonably tall, Kobe didn't get any of the genetic gifts, so what he accomplished on the court he accomplished with fortitude, belief and *HARD* work.
Kobe is the example of having to improvised adopt and overcome even on your shortcomings
I agree with all you said CaliforniaCarpenter except Jordan is not the greatest.
@@Kommunik8Moor Then who is?
Remember Mike got cut as a high schooler so he had to work hard as well, but both are goats1a and 1b.lbj a distant 7 best all time and that cause of longevity,I wish Bron had the see blood attack. Mentality like the mamba and m.j have but LeBron doesn't that's the difference.

Here's my thing: Kobe has 5 rings, played for 20 years through pain and disappointment and did so with only one franchise. That's my G.O.A.T. ! I don't care what anyone says. And he's a global icon beyond compare! Simply put,no one is better and I doubt that there will be another even close!
Trainer: "Hey Kobe, you've been working out since 4:15AM, it's 11:00AM, when did you finish your workout?"

Kobe proves that talent is just talent if you don’t work hard. Still surreal to me that he’s gone.
Kobe is the literal personification of Hardwork and Dedication.
Something a good solid 99% of people will never have the will power or courage to put in that level of work, myself included. Hearing story after story, his will power to improve amd dedication is full on second to non. How insanely inspiring.
@@TheHollowBlade Yup and that one time when he swam with sharks to annihilate the rigors of an nba season always makes me say " He got the nuts.". He really is a legend and for me he is the G.O.A.T .
Even MJ has remarked that in his prime he could obliterate anyone ( even bron, west etc.) but not Kobe as he stole all of MJ's moves. But what my intuition says is that Kobe always out worked MJ and everyone else.
Nah
Chills after chills ... Kobe you will always be remembered forever! GOAT for many reasons
"Why in the world would you trash talk someone who is willing to swim with great white sharks"
I mean this sentence sound's like from sitcom. And it's great question 🐍
You mean someone who was on trial for RAPE ??? Lots of trash-talking on that subject !!!
I’m 17 years old and I am just now starting to get into basketball and I wish I did earlier in my life to see such a legend play the way he did r.i.p ❤️
Try watching old games to appreciate his artistry and genius.
And always remember he was a rapist. Just saying.
@@noahgoodare401Kobe was never convicted of being a rapist, the girl was looking for money and took the money and drop the case , you must have a really sad life, with no friends, your dog don't even like you, staying in your mum's basement which she wishes you would move out of.
Kobe was a special basketball player. RIP to the Mamba. If he's up there somewhere, I hope he finds some peace in knowing he inspired an entire generation on and off the court.
One of my favorites moments on the court with Kobe is when he showed respect to Steph Curry
Same
Agreed
Little tap on the bottom side
And Dirk, when Kobe was on the sideline.
He shoulda shown more respect in general
I have been a Kobe fan since his very first game since I’ve always loved the Lakers since I was a kid.. since his horrific accident and his passing to this day when I watch a lakers game I’m still choked up hoping somehow Kobe will just re-appear. Miss you sooooo much Kobe.. GOAT. Love ya Brutha & see ya on the other side.. RIP my friend.. 😖😢
I miss Ko8e. The world literally began to unravel after he left us. He forever lives in my memory of a time when we were less divisive. We were better people when Ko8e was with us. Xx

kobe is the GOAT. noone else could do what he did. he was injured throughout his career and still was the best. there will never be a player who has two busted fingers that needed surgery on his shooting hand. win a championship as the lead man. NOONE.

I couldn’t finish this, thank you kobe for giving us 18 years of amazing basketball and unforgettable memories RIP my dear Kobe and your beautiful daughter and God gives Vennessa the strength to carry on
Kobe is all of the characters in cartoon shows that did the impossible. Just proves that nothing is impossible!!! I love Kobe Bryant so much! He is becoming such a huge inspiration in my life!
If Shaq had been on board to maintain a healthy playing weight and match Kobe's thirst to get better at each aspect of his game, between Shaq, Kobe and coach Phil Jackson, they would have won at least another 2-3 more rings together. Kobe had a maturity level that only the likes of Michael Jordan would understand and appreciate. Shaq allowed his massive ego, lack of disciple and unwillingness to improve after the 2002-2003 season. Three peat was nice, though a four peat could have been achieved.
And nah, nobody was stopping tim Duncan in 2003
If I have 1% of Kobe's grit, I'll do wonders in life.
It goes MJ then KOBE! Dude was a straight killer! When Kobe and Shaq were dominating, I hated life!! Took me a decade later to realize his true greatness. Thank you for your amazing life Kobe, RIP Mamba
Not really, lebron is better than kobe but kobe is in top 5
Kareem worked hard stop the insult
@@angorafx9067 Lebron is not "better". He has less skills, less heart and isnt nearly the warrior Kobe was. Not even in the same league with Kobe tbh. A huge flopping baby vs. a guy who literally swims with sharks. gtfoh
@@MrPainfulTruth If your talking about heart and being a warrior then of course thats kobe, but from a statistical standpoint, lebron is literally better in every way and is catching up to jordan. Jxmyhighroller has done some great videos explaining how close lebron is to becoming the goat.
@@angorafx9067 LeBron is leading in many stats that were invented by ESPN and the NBA to make LeBron look good, think about that. One is even called LEBRON. There is one key stat and thats winning. There are only a handful of players that I have seen that you can never question on how much they gave of themselves to basketball. Kobe, Jordan, Magic and Bird. While they may not have won all of the time it was never because they didn't give enough of themselves. They never cheated the game, their teams or fans.
@Certified Big Dog lebrons burner 😂
@Certified Big Dog I take it you didn't watch the comparsion of Jordan and James. Its not even close. James couldn't even beat Kobe. Stop lyin to yourself my dude. Seriously.
@Certified Big Dog you're a clown/ kobe hater
@Certified Big Dog LeBald isn't even top 5 let alone above the Mamba....
Kareem must be a real hard person to like because nobody's mentioning that real GOAT
This just shows how hard kobe worked and how amazing he was! Everyone knows he’s human he’s just better than most humans he is a legend and inspiration
R.I.P a true legend.
kids, if you wanna look up to, or imitate any celebrity, personality, or player, then let this man’s mindset and perspicacity be that example. he is a 1 of 1
Speaking purely as a diehard Suns fan. Kobe was a menace on both ends. Watching him go against us year after year clearly enhanced the viewing experience. He's up there in the top 10.
just the top ten ey.
I feel like every time I hear a story about Kobe Bryant it’s always something like somebody woke up super early in the morning and went to go work out in Kobe was already there working out RIP the legend the work ethic goat One thing you can never say that this man did not try his ass off nothing was ever given to him everything that he had he fucking work day and night for
My fave athlete of all time for a reason RIP Kobe gone but never forgotten
Amazing videos and transitions from one to the next, I'm very impressed. 👏
I appreciate you going from the warriors to a legend like Kobe Bean Bryant
I would have loved to see Kobe and Iverson on the same team, that would have been phenomenal but they are always in my hall of Fame because of their greatness, I like Mike but they are the ones who made a impact on me, and I will always be grateful for knowing AI and seeing Kobe play at the level that he has, no doubt that they're great and they are the best that ever did it
KOBE IS DEFINITELY ONE OF A KIND! (AS ANYONE CAN TELL BY HIS GREATNESS!!!)
Hearing kobe about the story of him and his tore Achilles makes my Achilles tendon aches also 😅 Damn. That's why he's my #1 player. Lots of guys are great like Lebron, Steph, KD even maybe surpassing him on championships, but I can't just left Kob out. Even he's gone now i just want him to be remembered.
One of the main reason Kobe is my favorite player is just that work ethic, when he started basketball he wasnt any good but he kept at it like no one else and became an all time great, clutch, calm under pressure and resilient as hell. Who the fuck sinks 2 free throws with a torn achilles?!
Maybe he could have rested a bit more and not gotten injured...
Rest In Peace to late Kobe Bryant he was one of the best basketball players ever in nba history
I love Kobe
When it comes mamba man i just become speechless of the hardwork that he did and his work ethic his dedication his discipline to be the best version of himself that mentality has helped me to realize that i can be the best version of myself and i can outwork anyone after watching his videos i just become sad that he is not here with us but his mentality it will live forever his stories proved that he was just a beast just the best for me idk what people says who is the goat but for me he is the goat just the best. RIP mamba 🙏
I will work and work and work till i will be the best version of myself , and as ur english teacher said and u followed i m also following rest at the end not in the middle. Thanks mamba
I heard the exact same table tennis story about Cristiano Ronaldo also, after getting beat once in a game against other players he bought a table practiced for like a week straight and then beat everyone on the team
Talent man is no legend without hard work, which is perfectly exampled by Kobe!
It’s not his talent or drive it’s the emotions within him that push yourself to take action I say this as someone cut from the same cloth I grew up watching Kobe I remember the trade & knew something was special was coming !!! I absorbed so much of his essence I played with fire grit determination & when injuries happen in life I move through it & show the black mamba gratitude!!! I broke my ankle on a job moving people homes & took a job mid day & just 10 min after committing to the move I broke my ankle coming down the ramp unloading a couch well after moments of taking in what happened my work partner finishes up & says well I guess we’re done for the day I took that & felt overwhelmed with emotions that wouldn’t allow me to not show up to the job so we headed over & I said nothing to the owner & just started to hobble up the stairs to start the load I was pushing hard & keeping a good pace about 30 min in I apologized for my limping explaining I broke it just min after I accepted the job he was impressed that I decided to work anyways as he played defensive lineman for the raiders in the late 90s 2000s under al Davis so I he understood what it’s like haha so move is going well considering my ankle & about 1:30 min into the load up my ankle popped & I regained full movements in my ankle along with no pain & was looking forward to unloading & being done as this was 9 hours into the work day & my ankle is broke so we finished unloading head back to our vehicles & as soon as I tried to walk it was unbearable & took 28 days to heal was racing my bike 32 days after the break moral of this is find something to identify with inside yourself where the pain of quitting the lasting emotions & thoughts hurt more in every way than the small amount of time possibly experiencing physical pain !!!!!!! Doctor x rays confirmed a break
Thank you Kobe Bryant ❤️
Enjoyed this video keep it up⛹🏾♀️
“I’m missin shots that I don’t miss” Kobe was really HIM!!
Kobe bryant is lucky to find his passion early in life. I wish we all could find ours at like age 12 and just think and breathe it.
Kobe knew that for him, fear and self-doubt was the only thing that could stop him being great.
So, he swam with the greatest predators to kill that fear. 🦈
he must have found out how to tame a predator.
I miss him so much.
Lmfao the shark story made laugh out loud.. what a legend 😂🤙🏼🔥🔥
this is why he’s my favourite all time player
The Best NBA player of the History
I already know all these stories about Kobe, feeling that everything that Kobe didn't realize before is only coming out now. How long does a person have to die to appreciate what was done? it's very disappointing but I'm happy that people know more about the accomplishments of life and don't get to know them before they get to know them well, kobe is the personified goat in basketball like no other

THAT'S WHY HE WAS STAYING ON THE COURT MORE TIME ..... BECAUSE HE IS PRACTICING HIS ENDURANCE
Kobe's incredible, but the rim story is just normal, ballers have a feel for when the rim is a different height, the more you ball, the more accurate that feel gets
Kobe and MJ are different than anybody else who ever touched the court 💪🏽
20 seasons, 5 time champion, 18 time all star, multiple MVP awards, Olympian gold medal winner! GOAT! I see no need to make comparisons as stats speak for themself. Oh right one of top 3 shooters in NBA history. RIP Mamba it's going on 3 years and still can't wrap my head around it. Thank you kobe for 20 seasons 👍
No, he doesnt have "multiple MVP awards)
So, I've been claiming that the nba snuck smaller rims into the playoffs; but now that you mention it, maybe they only raised our lowered it slightly! I mean, how many good-great shooters are building brick backboards..... ALL OVER THE LEAGUE!
I just think that some players just fold under pressure.
Before injuries he was #2 best player all time

that basket rim was definitely a paid actor, but all jokes aside its insane how he knew that it was off by a bit. honestly, that can be a crucial detail in basketball and sports in general.
as a skateboarder, we get injuries frequently. basically trying to kill ourselves just to land a trick. we'd have bruised up shins, ankles, sore butts from falling down, back, scraped knees, hands bled. but we'd still get back up minutes after to land the trick.
depending on how bad and serious the injury may be. but most of the time, we'd walk it off or hold on to that injury for a few minutes then its back to killing ourselves for our trick
Gerald Henderson wrote the article for The Players Tribune. Here's the last part of the article:
After the buzzer sounded, I was walking off the court and I saw one of the maintenance guys - one of the guys who was carrying the ladder onto the court during warm-ups.
I had to ask.
“Hey man, what was up with the rim before the game?”
“Oh, someone notified us that it was a little lower than regulation.”
He added: “Don’t worry. We adjusted it to 10 feet.”
Then he told me how much it was off by.
I could tell you his answer, but I think you already know what he said.
How about when he broke his finger

When I was a teen, I would play basketball every single day with my neighbors Andrew, Donny and Tyler, 1 game, 100 points by 1's and 2's. Then after those games, Andrew's Dad would not let him come inside until he made 50 freethrows, 50 lay ups, and 50 3's. Even as a kid, I always thought his Dad was borderline abusive in that regard because no matter how tired he was, he HAD to do it, but Andrew was an absolute menace on the court. One of the best ball players I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. Then I watch this and see that Kobe wanted to make 800 for conditioning and I realize how Andrew was meant for greatness.
Andrew died in a car accident before he ever made it to college. This is just a random internet comment to keep his name alive but every time I see anything involving an insane work ethic, I think of Andrew. Thank you Andrew and thank you Kobe for the inspiration. RIP
