Kobe and MJ are the GOATS in my book, purely based off their mentalities. Skill was one thing - the need to win and dominate was another.
@@MaxGuttsait Kobe > Jordan... & I say that as an old head that grew up watching Jordan. Kobe managed to be the goat while staying humble off the court. Jordan is known for 💩-tting on his fans & admirers & just generally being a bad person on & off the court. for a long time I thought it was Jordan, but Kobe is the real goat.
@@thebotfather9508 can’t disagree with you , but at the same time, I don’t think we’d see that Kobe without MJ.

Kobe rupturing his achilles was always emotional for me. He walked to the freethrow line with ruptured achilles, drained 2 fts, and walked out of the court. Kobe was always the tough guy to beat.
Real shit. Now these mf’s take 15 games off cause they have a bruised thumb.
@@jameswheeler815 Exactly! 100% agreed! As Kobe said, "Soft like s***!" Lol
Klay did the same, and I agree
@@trustmepalimthatguy3052 Just like Kobe was soft like sh*t when he was a beta b*tch quivering when that mountain cashed some checks hahahahahahaha
I still like the time he fractured his index finger, put a splint on that shit, and won the Finals MVP shooting on the broken finger the entire playoffs in 2009
if any of us were half as dedicated to our passions and professions as Kobe was then we’d be near unstoppable.
I saw that Achilles tear moment live... I was flabbergasted, it was the most inspirational thing I have ever witnessed. People DO NOT WALK after tearing the Achilles. There is no tension on the back part of your leg. It would feel like the back part of your leg is on the ground... for him to put mind over matter... that was something to behold. I mean, a dislocated finger happens. Many people have popped it back in and played on... but a tore Achilles usually calls for a stretcher/ cart to move them... it was like watching Jesus walk on water... almost.
Bro like watching Jesus walk on water ? Cmon dude
Bro like watching Jesus walk on water ? Cmon dude
I guess it depends on the person.
I walked on it after it happened to me in a football match. It felt really weird , felt like my left foot was pudding all of a sudden. Anyways, it's a really nasty injury , because it takes alot of time to heal.
You had me until the last line. What a damn joke. This guy was an entertainer. Do we somehow forget that?

I started watching basketball because of Kobe. Just a 13 year old flipping through the channels and seeing him and Shaq going off in the 2000 NBA finals vs the Pacers. It wasn't until 6 months later I saw videos of Jordan and the Bulls win 6 consecutive titles with two 3 peats. Although that was very impressive, I always thought Kobe was my generations Jordan. I was a young chubby teenager before I got on a basketball court and tried to duplicate his moves, lost weight and became "Baby Kobe" by my peers because I played just like him. I even had the mamba mentality when it came down to the clutch along with the "must win attitude. He is the reason I put my playstation controller down, got off my fat ass and laced up a pair of nikes to play basketball. Just developing a passion for the game and being competitive helped me apply that towards my everyday life as an adult. Im 35 now with a wife, 3 daughters and son and they've watched me cheer Kobe on all the way to his very last game. They've even seen me break down when he passed because it felt like I lost a big brother that showed me alot over the years on and off the court. While people til this day debate who is or was the goat between, Jordan, Kobe or Lebron, my goat is the man that impacted my life the most and that will always be Kobe. #mamba4ever
Congrats my man, your example should have been followed by millions of others,i believe society in America would have been much more strong, resilient, masculine, had it applied Kobe's mindset.Instead, today we have tik-tokers spreading degeneracy, and on the other extreme, liars like Andrew Tate
This was an honestly very moving story thank you
It couldn't of been that Finals series vs the Pacers he averaged 15 ppg, 4 assists and 4 rebounds

He was also a rapist
Kobe walking to drain the free throws, and then by himself to the sideline afterwards makes me cry every time. He's my legend, my goat. He's the definition of heart and will.
I didn’t respect KOBE or realize what he truly was until Shaq left and he had to struggle and carry the Lakers literally
Just a reminder he never wanted to take a pay cut in order for the Lakers to try to get better talent. Like other superstars have done.

This man is inspiring me to go beyond myself. To try and become stronger, both mentally and physically. To have the champion's mindset. The Mamba mindset. RIP you legend, inspiring people beyond the grave.
The real Mamba mentality is his relentlessness and not refusing to lose. I've watch a lot of Laker games that i almost want to throw our tv because they are losing. But with Kobe's tenacity, he will take over games that we already think that is a losing game and still overturn it to a W. That's the real Mamba mentality.

Yup and here we have superstars these days who can’t make them healthy
now that was hard. that is an extremely painful injury. that proves how elite Kobe was. not popping your finger back in I'm sick of seeing that kind of thing in sports.
Mf's now be talking about load management and flopping like its soccer and shit. Kobe gets an Achilles tear and makes 2 ft and walks off on his own power.
@@dogabutila I understand how you feel and the situation does represent Kobe’s toughness but this is not a situation to use in favor of canceling load management. Matter of fact maybe if kobe had load managed he wouldn’t have had that career altering injury. In the players shoes I would take a couple games on the bench over getting hurt out there just so strangers on RUclips can flex my “legacy”
Was kind of pointless because then they sent the Warriors to the line to get him out of the game
This man taught me sm. these past few years especially. Growing up, I’m 20 now but just watching videos and hearing him talking about certain things helped me develop a great mindset.
