- Hi everybody, and welcome to my "stevenofpa" RUclips Channel!
This video shows you what it's like to see this laptop be reviewed, examined, fully disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. In other words, the laptop is fully restored.
This laptop had a problem where the screen flicker flickered and would be very unstable. most likely the problem was being caused by overheating the graphics display processor chip due to very much accumulation of dust dirt and debris inside the computer's case. lots of dust on the cooling fan and under the motherboard. So it all had to be removed for cleaning. You can see the dvd burner, the internal speakers, the usb ports and speaker connection. the display screen is also removed for cleaning and inspection and repair of some of the loose screws.
The music playing in the background is from the RUclips Music Library, a free service that YT provides for its creators to use in their video projects. Thanks YT! These songs are called:

Great video. Used it to upgrade my mothers old laptop to an i7 cpu, windows 10, 8 gigs of ram and a 250gb ssd. Thanks for posting.
Thank you so much, now our computer is like new and clean. I know how to take it apart because of you, my very first time taking a computer apart was easy thanks to you 👍🏽
Your welcome, Glad I could help!
Thanks, well made video...a little out of focus but plenty clear enough to see. Great narration too. Trying to resurrect an old C751NR with a very funky, flickery, sometimes dead screen. trying a new cable bc opening/closing cover seemed to help before it got this bad. Your video definitely encouraged me!
i bought a hp pavilion g6 laptop on ebay for parts switch on fan spins and power light works but no graphics
then i had a closer look the computer had a cracked corner i assumed it had been dropped swapped out the motherboard with one i had already
had bingo!! the screen came to life so maybe the graphics chip but i swapped the M/Board everything now works not bad for £20 + shipping
try to use plastic pry tools as metal damages the soft plastic! when taking apart laptops

Just needed this to clean and add a SSD. Thanks..! Installed Linux on it. Another old but fast machine..!
Dying in suspense here........ did all that fix the laptop?
You should change the thermal paste to reduce overheating issue as it becomes dry.
Correct!. . I was about to comment on that
I have the same problem with the overheating and I use an external fan.
can that motherboard be upgraded to accept ddr4 or a new cpu?
Thanks. Great work.
my pavilion g7-1260 us has individual keys. can they be popped off to clean each one?
I have this model and the left mouse tab is very loose, is that a easy fix?
plastic body avable sir ?
Hi, The first 15 mins or so was fine, then the dreaded music until the last min and a half, so no info on what to remember on assembly and no info on if everything works, I watched it as it is the most similar to mine and I had to change the internal battery but after reassembly part of my keyboard doesn't work, zxcv space bar so I thought cos a couple of bits had broken off (screw threads) was the reason so I ordered a new keyboard but exactly the same keys don't work, I tried updating keyboard in device manager but it just says it is working ok, any ideas on what has caused this and how to fix
did it power on after all that?
mine didn't
Does anyone have a recovery disc image for this PC? It came with Windows 7 x64 bit. I would to restore it to the original factory settings plus software.
