The Bee Gees should be mentioned far more often when the greatest groups of all time are discussed. They filled the 60s with their uniquely beautiful, ethereal music and then, just when it looked like their fame was waning, they reinvented themselves to come back as the masters of the disco era. Truly brilliant and sadly missed.

I used to think that the BeeGees of the mid to late 70's was all there was to the band, which would still make them one of the greatest bands ever, mind you. Then I stumbled on older BeeGees gems like this song, and discovered a whole different beautiful dimension to them....
Yeah man The Bee Gees we’re on British an Australian television playing there music trying to get big pretty much since they were little wee boys, pretty incredible
Dad used to cart mum and I off to, when I was a baby, race car meetings where the Bee Gees played often here in Aus back in the 60s. A pity they never seemed to remember their beginnings in any interviews I've seen of them. It makes me feel as if they spat on the country that welcomed them in, gave them their start, as children. Back to their parents' home country, with never a thank you.
@@theoneandonlyowl3764 I've heard them talk about it many times on interviews about how they started where they came from and they were very proud of it.

Barry picked Miami for his American home because it reminded him of Australia. He even said, 1958 on a crisp fall morning in Australia was incredible! He even visited his childhood home in Australia!!!
Barry has always been my favorite. But there's always been something about Robins' voice that just captivated me. He was a remarkable solo artist as well.
Andy would have added nothing to the Bee Gees but the difficulty of an additional member who would have expected a share of lead vocals. By the time his brothers considered having him join them, absolutely no one else in the industry would touch him with a ten foot pole because he was a thoroughly unreliable screw up. I can only imagine they considered it out of pity and a hope he might straighten himself out if they had him under constant supervision. I don't think it would have turned out well. At the time of his death he was ostensibly in England to work on new material with Robin but he never entered Robin's studio and instead spent his time getting drunk, complaining there was nothing to do and pilfering from local merchants to the extent Robin had to keep going in to town to settle accounts with them.
My 6 years old son loves this song. He wants to listen to it again and again. He asks why there are no such beautiful songs today. 💖 We love you BeeGees

Aquí Robín, Maurice y Barry lucen muy guapos y talentosos, como siempre. La voz de Robín es incomparable y demasiado bella! I LOVE THE BEE GEES FOREVER!!!!
One of their best songs! Has anyone noticed that the Bee Gees dont eat the microphones.....their voices are so powerful that they can keep the mic at least 6 or more inches from their mouths.....just an observation of mine.
Noticed that and the fact you can understand the words which I so appreciate. Since they were songwriters, they were aware of the importance of lyrics. The three of them were so masterful in every way.
Yes, many people love Maurice and his bass playing. I am reading almost all comments about Mo. Very talented man, composer, played about 7 instruments, harmony expert, musical director, easy going character, very charismatic person. Like Barry said Maurice was " the soul an the heart of the group". Plus many other things too. Genius!
This masterpiece will be loved for many generations. Great music only gets stronger through time. It's a beautiful melody with compelling lyrics, performed from the heart & soul of the authors.

Getting a message to somebody was a very hard thing to do… ; )
These songs are all classics. This song is more then 50 years old and it's beautiful. Music today is horrible. Glad I lived the 60s and 70s in America. This isnt even the same country anymore. No American culture left.
Rest In Peace, Robin, Maurice and Andy. We miss you very much.
There are so many extraordinary musicians, composers, and singers, but the BeeGees stand out among them. (They got better looking as they aged.)
Eine Band mit diesen Qualitäten wird es nie wiedergeben . 😢
Maurice is too adorable at 2:06. This was always my favorite Bee Gees song, all three were a combination of sexy and cute in this video. Great harmonization too!
robin god gave you the gift of voice and poet ...thank you and god ..and your brothers ...in my life great thanks ..to have been blessed in this era..x
In 1968 I was in 8th grade and I loved The Bee Gees even before Disco! Now I’m 69 and how great it is to see them singing this song💕🥰
Such a beautiful song. So much talent. And groovie sideburns to boot.
Afsaneh Mirfendereski of course got to love the sideburns , don't you??.?
75 people not liking this man they dont know music this is a legend 👍
DON'T WORRY A LOT OF STUPID MOTHERFUCKERS OUT THERE😂
Aquí Robín, Maurice y Barry lucen muy guapos y talentosos, como siempre. La voz de Robín es incomparable y demasiado bella! I LOVE THE BEE GEES FOREVER!!!!
I'm in tears, glad I grew up in the sixties and wouldn't change a thing x
I just love the way Mo strums and pics that guitar...unique to him.
Keriama Krueger Mo was the sexy bass player for sure!😉
Most Awesome Music, EVER!!! TY BeeGees
Absolutely awesome. How are you doing. Hope you are fine and staying safe out there?
One of their best songs! Has anyone noticed that the Bee Gees dont eat the microphones.....their voices are so powerful that they can keep the mic at least 6 or more inches from their mouths.....just an observation of mine.
Noticed that and the fact you can understand the words which I so appreciate. Since they were songwriters, they were aware of the importance of lyrics. The three of them were so masterful in every way.
@@virginiaconner3340 I so agree with you.
This is so great!! This live version is amazing!!
There will never b another group as good as the Bee Gees were....GOAT !
Just awesome! Love to see Maurice being his wonderful self.
Oh yes absolutely awesome. How are you doing. Hope you are fine and staying safe out there?
Maurice had the BEST personality! He makes me smile! Always doing something funny. Love all three! Bee Gees - White chocolate SOUL!
Their music is inspiring, touching & with deep feeling.Never tired of listening through the years.
wow i wonder if many people listen to Maurice and his bass playing awesome!
I love the bass in Jive Talkin
Yes, many people love Maurice and his bass playing. I am reading almost all comments about Mo. Very talented man, composer, played about 7 instruments, harmony expert, musical director, easy going character, very charismatic person. Like Barry said Maurice was " the soul
an the heart of the group". Plus many other things too. Genius!
My number one is Jó😉😤
The unique Robin Gibb voice - brilliant
Love these times...their voices were strong and distinct.
None come close to the talent of the Bee Gees.❤
Robin had such a unique voice. It resonated depth. At least it did for me.
Best Voices Ever...Massachusetts...what else could I say, The BEST!!!
597 thumbs down???? POOR LOST souls who NEVER grasped the greatness of this music
This masterpiece will be loved for many generations. Great music only gets stronger through time. It's a beautiful melody with compelling lyrics, performed from the heart & soul of the authors.
One of the greatest singers. I first heard this group when I was in Beirut, Lebanon in 1980. I will always cherish your songs Gibb brothers. So sad Barry that your 3 brothers are gone, but we have to move on. Your fans will never forget your excellent music contribution to the whole world. Long live Barry!
Just brilliant..not the absolute garbage we have nowadays..so called modern artists take note this is called music
Best group ever Bee Gees forever ❤❤❤
