The Bee Gee's harmony is one of the most natural I have ever heard, never forced. Their talent brings me to my knees. RIP Maurice and Robin. Thank you for the music that got me through some of the most difficult times of my life.
I would give up all this nonsense technology to get the 60s and 70s back. It wasn't perfect but look at this music and all the love in the way they sing.
I wasn't even born then. If it wasn't for the people I'm close to, I would trade this life in a heartbeat. Things seemed so much simpler then. Now, you have to read between fine lines to get what you think you want while listening to brainless music drone on as a soundtrack to the hell that is this decade.
How right you are! 60s and 70s were the best times for so many reasons. Unbelievable how corrupt and decisive people are now. I'd hoped that my senior days would be more peaceful.
This slides over you like a smooth piece of silk. The harmonies are superb and they intermix so easily. No-one could do this like the Bee Gees. They make it look so easy. Glad to actually see Maurice singing and not overlooked!
Fueron muy buenos, un gran trío, de los mejores Melodías hermosas y armonías vocales muy cuidadas Pero es justo reconocer que los más grandes músicos de la historia de la música moderna y contemporánea han sido THE BEATLES
Flawless vocals and harmony. They were just starting to explore the falsetto with this one. They are in full gallop of their vocal range. One of my favorite songs of theirs.
This is Robin singing falsetto primarily although Barry hits it too in the last part. Robin's dd not have that very slight shrillness that Barry's had to my ears.
I was lucky enough to see Elvis live. He had incredible charisma. However, ,I rank the Bee Gees as #1. Their catalog of fabulous songs is mind-blowing. Just ask yourselves "If I could only listen to one artist or group for the rest of my life, whom would I choose?"
I just love these guys; came here after watching Barry get the Kennedy Center Honors award 2023, and wished Maurice and Robin could have been there with him. Nothing like the harmonizing of these three brothers (Beach Boys included) but Barry has written so many songs for others and embodies music. Love them forever.
This song is a masterclass in harmony and emotion. Obsessed with Bee Gees after HBO doc! Liked them back in the day, but I didn't appreciate the depth of their talent and songwriting abilities. I just kinda took them for granted. Love them so much, gutted that they can't be here to go out and do a big ass stadium tour and show the world how it's done. RIP and glorious music, Mo, Robin and Andy.
Well said. Saw recently (August 2022) the doc "how to mend a broken heart" and since then hooked on the Bee Gees. Knew their early work from the 60ies and love that work as well. But learned a lot more about them from this splendid documentary. And happy to find all those videos and interviews on RUclips.
Shame that most people only associate TBG with Saturday Night Fever. They had so many great songs like this prior to their shift to the disco era. Main Course was a great album.
I can listen to this song 24/7 its their best ever. Raw & straight thru the heart. It electrifies every cell in my body. No other song has done this to me & i thank you boys for the gift of your music has given me. Reading the comments i think the world feels the same. Theirs not enough words to go round for all the joy & happiness you have bought to us but only to say i love you all. Mary from Sth Australia
How could this song not be a #1 song in 1976? it reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The 3rd top 20 hit in a row for the Bee Gees during their pop comeback in 1975, after not having a hit song since 1971.
Barry Gordy himself said...this is the best soul song he had ever heard....I also at the age of 15 thought this was the best song they ever did...especially near the end ...and no..no one today can touch this...not even the best cover band...to the hell...NO...

@@normadailey7953This song is not quite 50 years old (it came out in early 1976) but close enough. As far as songwriting, the Brothers were on the Lennon-McCartney level, maybe not in the number of great songs they wrote but certainly in the depth and quality.
Oh my gosh...THEY WERE AT THEIR HANDSOMEST HERE! They looked in love and sweet and innocent. Look at all their dreamy eyes....omg! I'd say Robin was at his cutest here. And Barry..! He was no doubt the most talented of the three.
absolutely agrees.
yeah. Maurice's an amazing bassist. I admired him. I can play string guitar but not bass guitar, too heavy for me.
Mo had so much talent. His deep honeyed voice added depth to their music, he was a master at playing so many instruments.
And he was the glue that kept everything together
I would give up all this nonsense technology to get the 60s and 70s back. It wasn't perfect but look at this music and all the love in the way they sing.
I wasn't even born then. If it wasn't for the people I'm close to, I would trade this life in a heartbeat. Things seemed so much simpler then. Now, you have to read between fine lines to get what you think you want while listening to brainless music drone on as a soundtrack to the hell that is this decade.
It was pretty damn perfect to me. I'd go back instantly, without hesitation or regret.
Very True Heart Soul and Feeling
the best comment hands down !!!!
How right you are! 60s and 70s were the best times for so many reasons. Unbelievable how corrupt and decisive people are now. I'd hoped that my senior days would be more peaceful.
Now this is when music was music. They'll never be another group as AWESOME as the Bee Gees
This is my favorite song
Not to mention you share the name with one of the twins
ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY! THE BEE GEES ARE THE GREATEST GROUP EVER.
Mine too!
😭😭😭
@@theultimatemale6820 beatles :)
Amen Brother!! The best they wrote everything and for other artists as well!!
Been a Bee Gees fan since a teen in the late 60,s still a fan today this song is by far the best they have made and there all great!
This slides over you like a smooth piece of silk. The harmonies are superb and they intermix so easily. No-one could do this like the Bee Gees. They make it look so easy. Glad to actually see Maurice singing and not overlooked!
THE BEE GEES WERE BETTER THAN THE BEATLES ROLLING STONES AND THE MUSIC BUSINESS KNEW IT THEY JUST NEVER ADMITTED IT 😋 CAN I GET A AMEN🙌
Their talent was off the charts.
Amen
Fueron muy buenos, un gran trío, de los mejores
Melodías hermosas y armonías vocales muy cuidadas
Pero es justo reconocer que los más grandes músicos de la historia de la música moderna y contemporánea han sido THE BEATLES
Amen!
AMEN!
A favorite fantastic song. Barry the hottest man ever and he can sing too. ❤❤❤❤ you Barry.
Robin’s voice was incredible
ALL their voices are incredible.
@@lizz5235 But Robin's voice was incredibly incredible.
So were Barry's, Mo's, and Andy's.
I would never admit this in 70s. This is one of my favorite groups. And this song is my favorite.
every Bee Gees song makes me fall in love with them all over again...
Absolutely! Their music ALWAYS brings a lump to my throat.
There will NEVER be another group like them❣️❣️❣️
Flawless vocals and harmony. They were just starting to explore the falsetto with this one. They are in full gallop of their vocal range. One of my favorite songs of theirs.
This is Robin singing falsetto primarily although Barry hits it too in the last part. Robin's dd not have that very slight shrillness that Barry's had to my ears.
If a man doesn't know about this song he is not qualified to be my husband.
You guys singing this song, so wonderfully
My Mom got me hooked on The Bee Gees as a young teen. This was one of her favorite songs...For you Mom where ever you are♡
Hello Cindy, how are you doing i hope you and your family are safe!
This trio has their place along the Beatles, Stones, Elvis, etc.
That's for sure.
Concordo!
Nobody is the Beatles. That said they are number 2 with harmony
They are #1.
one of the best bands of all time I'm my opinion that is
I just love these guys; came here after watching Barry get the Kennedy Center Honors award 2023, and wished Maurice and Robin could have been there with him. Nothing like the harmonizing of these three brothers (Beach Boys included) but Barry has written so many songs for others and embodies music. Love them forever.
One of my favorites 🎉 one of the best songs I've ever heard ❤
Hi Lisa💐💐
Funny how a song like this that you took for granted as a teen has a way of resurfacing 40yrs later and letting you know its value.
There will NEVER be another group as great as the Bee Gees EVER. I will love them forever!
Shame that most people only associate TBG with Saturday Night Fever. They had so many great songs like this prior to their shift to the disco era. Main Course was a great album.
Indeed Main Course was one of the best albums of the '70s spawning 4 hit singles, I think, unless my memory fails me, which it could.
Children of the World was another brilliant album!
My favorite Bee Gees album. Main Course was great but what's the deal with "all this making love"?
@@laurieshreffler5028 They all were !!!
They had a number of songs after Disco that were hits. Other artists had hits they wrote.
The layers of harmonies in this song did not allow them to perform this masterpiece live in concert.
How could this song not be a #1 song in 1976? it reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The 3rd top 20 hit in a row for the Bee Gees during their pop comeback in 1975, after not having a hit song since 1971.
Barry Gordy himself said...this is the best soul song he had ever heard....I also at the age of
15 thought this was the best song they ever did...especially near the end ...and no..no one today can touch this...not even the best cover band...to the hell...NO...
You are so very right Barry. I have loved them since my teens and Iam now 75. The Bee Gees lived in my hometown of Brisbane Australia and were just boys when they first appeared on TV here. This song is now my favourite.
@@margaretmearns6000 ¡Cuan afortunado fuiste de conocerlos! Yo asistí a un concierto que Robin dio en mi país y estaba en shock, desde niña me fascinaron, tenia una voz bellísima, tengo 68 años
i can’t help but feel this is the best song the bee gees ever recorded - it’s just so perfect. from the variation in vocal styles to that spectacular key change at the end, no other bee gees song compares to this for me personally. each brother shines in their own way on this track, and there’s a deep emotion that i get every time i hear it, i cant explain it. love it so much!!
Yes! It gives me chills!!
Me too...i have it on fb, for some reason this has been stuck in my head all morning. By far my favorite by them !
Agreed. And love the bass line.
Sorry taste for music is different and for me, fan since 1967 there a in each decades of their work with music best songs. I can‘t see nobody written 1967 performed on stage in australia 1970 is such a song you will find here on YT, clear no question for Massachusetts and To love somebody, then later on the CD Still Water the songs I could not love you anymore and my lovers prayer and on their last CD the songs wedding day and sacred trust are milestones forever not to forget all the others songs.
@@psrfpsrf You run your sentences into each other.
I remember when this song came out.
Listening at night on my little AM radio, the rain falling, pulling a blanket, going to sleep....
Love how Barry just closes his eye and sings from the heart! Beautiful!!!
I grew up in the days of the Beatles and the Bee Gees, and I gotta say that I'd take the Bee Gees over the Beatles any day. I'm not even a disco fan, but the Bee Gees were just so awesome to listen to.
You realize they were more than just disco right????
@@gardengirl2441 Of course!
0:54 gives me full-on Goosebumps, like facial Goosebumps even! RIP Robin. Jesus that boy could sing
They sing like angel's. The best group ever!!!! They make my heart so happy, I dance around the house, doing my housework, and I crank it up!!! 💃💃💃💃💃❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹...
i love this song
Absolutely love Bee Gees music but they cannot be compared to the innovative magic of the Beatles . They are a distant second .
I am just now appreciating how very talented these three were. Astoundingly brilliant musical geniuses. I could listen to them all day.
Everyday.
Same here. Years ago I just took em for granted especially the Saturday Night Fever music. This song here just blows me away 50 some years later! It is an absolutely perfect song! I am crushing on these 3 guys big time now! Sure makes todays popular music sound empty, flat and lifeless.
@@normadailey7953This song is not quite 50 years old (it came out in early 1976) but close enough. As far as songwriting, the Brothers were on the Lennon-McCartney level, maybe not in the number of great songs they wrote but certainly in the depth and quality.
What talent...what harmony...what beautiful voices. I'm so proud that this music came out of my generation.
My absolute favorite Bee Gees song!!!! What an amazing sound these brothers have. Thanks for all the beautiful music. I will listen to forever ❤❤❤❤
Fanny and Nights On Broadway ❤
Oh my gosh...THEY WERE AT THEIR HANDSOMEST HERE! They looked in love and sweet and innocent. Look at all their dreamy eyes....omg!
I'd say Robin was at his cutest here. And Barry..! Oh my gosh...when he closed his eyes while singing, my heart almost dropped on the floor!
But of course, handsomest for me would be dear Maurice! I could almost kiss his face here. Love those big, brown, dreamy eyes! I could stare at his face all day long! 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree with you about Maurice! It was nice to get to see him a little more in this video. He was so cute! I never felt that he got enough attention. I also agree with you about Robin, he looked so cute in this video, and of course Barry lookin good as usual
My favorite song from The Bee Gees.
Would it be a surprise that this 63 Black woman still LOVES The Bee Gees in September of 2022?😅😊🎉❤ To bad “Love” stopped being shared. It’s to easy to be hurt me. 🌷
I LOVE the Bee Gee's!!! They made great music!!! RIP to all of the brothers that have passed away :( I have always been a fan of their music.
Well said, Stephanie - they were/are one of a kind!
Yes indeed!
Stephanie Lahart I agree Stephanie. So talented and such beautiful music from our Bee Gees.
I totally concur wholeheartedly Ms. Stephanie!
Love this song, I'll always stick up for the Bee Gees, I can't think of any white band with the soul the Bee Gees had. ❤️
How has it been almost 50 years? 😳😳😳😳😳😳
I don't know how Barry was able to compose a song so beautifully. But it is not surprising with the huge talents that are able to formulate the most beautiful immortal melodies to the world so that they remain and live longer than the life of their owner.
Robin was perfect❤
What a pretty breathtaking woman ,hello my darling ?
ROBIN'S VOICE IS LIKE THE HOLY GHOST IT JUST GOES RIGHT THROUGH YOU🤗🤗 RIP BABY BOY 😘
