Very nice, I have read about those types of nocks but this is the first time I've see anyone do it. Also for future reference, for a cleaner entry with the arrowhead you need to make the area where the broadhead meet the shafts as smooth if a transition as possible.
FYI - As a bowhunter and arrow maker myself. You really should grind down the shoulder you have at the butt end were the broad head meets the metal tube to make it streamlined otherwise for hunting use you will have too much resistance in that area causing less penetration. Just trying to help
Wow out standing videos 👍👍 buddy good information to know how to make these thanks again take care lol that's one zombie cabbage head down 🤣 thanks again for the info.
GREAT VIDEO but I am confused about the "ferrule" area of the broadheads? Did You FLATTEN THOSE down for better penetration? SERIOUS question? Please advise! Thanks.
have made two long bows and I received bow have not tried to make shafts and heads yet. my younger brother has made probably 70 or more bows and shafts and arrows heads out of about any thing you can imagine. one made of maple, one of red oak, the take down recurved bow poplar riser / red oak limbs. I hunted with compound bows over 30-35 years. made the maple self long , 41 pounds at 28 draw . first deer I was.blessed to take with it was the biggest. nicest, fattest buck I ever shot. so I sold my compound bows with those trainer wheels and stepped up to traditional archery and not went back. I will try your method for shafts and arrow heads. thanks for the information. nana and papa aka the hunter from the foothills of the blue ridge mountains in NC wishing you well.
@@weaponizer4444 because of health issues I don’t hunt and fish as much as I would love to, but that’s ok . I have been blessed, all the hunts was a fresh journey each time. new lessons and mistakes. a wealth of knowledge and skills you only get from being there. as I got older having not had to hunt to survive but knowing I could if I had to means a lot to me. I greatly enjoy helping younger hunters and fishermen and women to get the right start. I also make fishing fly’s/ lures, wood carver, knife maker, reloading ammunition for over 41 years and you could say specialize in ultra reduced center fire ammunition, and specialty ammunition. Excellent work sir! Penetration testing could be in a future video. The blades are beveled on both same side view. Look into sharpening of one edge per side. The side picked will assist in a torquing effect upon penetrating. Whether of bone or flesh. A static test can be done on a apple by hand. The visual effects will be seen. The apple will start splitting. The direction depends on the left vs right side beveling. The feathering of a left vs right twist fletching can further add to the torquing effect. I’ve subbed. Congrats Bigly
Hi there.... Great video... Can you pleeeeaassse tell me the draw weight of that ski bow🙏🙏🙏 oh and your cinematography skills are improving greatly.... Keep it. Up! 🤩
Excuse me for critizising, but the "test" in the end is totally crap. And if you ask why it is crap, I easily could explain it, but (only in this case) just asking means, you better start with bees and flowers (about archery). Amazing skills anyway.
Yes, you can make a Arrow head from a saw blade that's probably indestructible,.... but it is very light. I'd opt for 1/16 metal,... it is soft,....but it only needs to be sharp when you fire it at prey. Saw blades are very hard,.... a zizz wheel is needed to cut it and a good belt grinder to shape and sharpen it. They seem to hold an edge 4 Ever. Yeah it looks like this guy has a cute little system,.... with a feral,....but for hunting the shaft tip must taper down to allow maximum penetration. I just use soft metal like David Canterbury shows because it is far easier. I didn't see him check the arrow shaft for spine weight.
Great build..was wondering on the harding..did u use oil or water...a bit hard for me to tell..but good work fella..it's inspiration for a 2 a.m. build.. truly a good situation for a sharp stick..and some razors ..lol.. awesome.
You do not understand arrowheads do not go deep with a shoulder. Sad so many RUclips videos are done by poorly skilled beginners as teachers. Same thing on Forged in Fire.
Красиво , профессионально , и технично, класс !!! Можно с такими стрелами и на охоту на дичь

Genius, man making templates. So easy and brilliant. Top notch work!
Shot my first deer at 12 years old with a cedar arrow and bear broadhead. 35lb wooden recurve. Those were the days.
Sounds good :)
Awesome 😍👍👌
Thanks 🤗
Nice work :)
Thanks 😁
Good job, nice arrows, deserve a more powerful bow and a longer distance test.
Yes I agree, new bow is in making
@@weaponizer4444 I look forward to look at it. HAve a nice day dude.
@@weaponizer4444 how many pounds of strengh?
More than this 40 pounds? Better look to make a compound then!
@@mariosebastiani3214 I've pulled more than 40 pounds classic recurve bows and japanese kyudo bows many times. 50 pounds is just about normal.
Quedaron muy chulas , pero lo único q no me gusta es el tope entre el final d la punta flecha y principio del palo. gracias x el video un saludo

Can you please give the entire details about the wooden shafts sticks you have used love from India
It is 12mm diameter and 80cm long beech wooden shaft
Very nice. Thank you for your upload.
Thank you 👍
Hope you tempered the heads after quenching if not, very brittle. It will break on impact if you hit anything else then vegetables.
great point, I did tempered the arrow heads it but I didn't film it
Are you ready for zombie apocalypse😎😎😎

Металл так не закаливают , слишком маленький нагрев. Горелкой никогда до нужной температуры не нагреешь!
Excelente trabajo !! 👍👏👏👏

A wrap before the knock with HD thread would insure No Split. If needed use a pencil sharpener and glue on plastic knocks.
I'd like to try that with old saws all blades

Need a more powerful bow for those heavy arrows. Nicely made👍🏻

Nice arrows but I really don't like your choice of target though.
Which ones?

you could make it with angle grinder only, but it would be more time consuming

Use that blue colored painter's masking tape. Easier to remove.

Nicely made but it's too heavy, the front and back of the arrow must be equal weight for long range.
Good point!
Aparentemente ficou muito boa,
with all those power tools it is normal to make them so easy and fast
What is the diameter of the arrows?
Good job but to fat arrow wood man that should be thicker
