I have been using the device for about 3 years as well when I noticed my hair generally thinning. I am a woman- It has definitely worked for me. I don’t see my scalp in the areas that were once glaring at me. My friends have notice me it and my husband. No issues with the device at all. Battery still works for at least a week. It works and I am so thankful- good luck to you! Oh and I would say stick with it. It takes a while to notice anything. I think I really noticed about a year and no more bald spots.

No they're not necessary. I suggest using a derma stamp along with this treatment but you don't have to do that.
