for small LED fixtures i like wago connectors to go from the solid pigtail to the stranded fixture wire..

WAGO Wire/Splicing Connectors are especially easy to use for wiring fixtures.
Wire Nuts on dissimilar wire can be a problem.

I personally have had much more issues with wires coming out when I use to pretwist thats just my opinion idk which ones better but I switched to only one little twist or no twist and ive found they hold better IMO but its probably just preference regardless

I enjoy watching your videos. I have 2 questions, 1) why don't you faux woodgrain your entry door to match the overhead garage doors? and 2) have you tried wago levernuts instead of the wirenuts? Keep up the good work!

Good question on 1, We got both the garage doors and entry door from Clopay with the garage doors being steel and entry door fiberglass. The same tone of woodgrain looks slightly different on the steel and fiberglass so we decided to go with the black door to avoid any slight mismatch, although it probably would never have been noticeable in reality. But we love how the black door stands out and compliments the front elevation!
Yes Wago's are nice! Some people don't trust them but I think they're fine. They come stock on a lot of fixtures, like our Halo thin cans. I just stuck with the traditional wire nuts for the bulk of the connections, they're low cost and make a solid time-tested connection.

If you don't have someone to hold the light fixture while you wire it, cut a piece of coat hanger wire into an "S" shape, hook it to the box and fixture.

@@MasonDixonAcres Mostly with ceiling fans and other ceiling fixtures. A lot of newer ceiling fans come with a hook built into the housing so you don't need the coat hanger.
