I have a Haisen Smart TV and this sound bar, connected with the provided optical cable but it did not produce extra sound. The sound works when I pair it with my phone on blue tooth though. What have I done wrong?
@@TechWatcher I made it work in TV sound setting => audio output => SPDIF only But then TV lost control of sound volume, only Sound bar controller can control volume, this is kind of annoy. Did I do something wrong?

So is the quality good value for money ? I brought a Sony st350 but it won’t pair with my Hisense tv . Have been advised to get a Hisense , it’s a similar price .
hs 214 is okay if you dont have enough space for subwoofer and it looks more smooth and sleek. but in terms of sound quality, hs218 easily wins, but difference is mostly in low frequencies and bass, hs218 has has much more power.

one can't really judge via a youtube video if you computer/ laptop speakers are bad every sound bar will sound shit and visa versa you listening to a recording done via a video tape/ phone camera one can't really judge a sound quality via this medium

No, definitely not. With this soundbar, aux will be used for worst case scenario. Hdmi is always best, then digital, then aux.
How is the sound quality?
It is great, even at low volume there is still that powerful kick from the wireless sub.

Your DSTV will be connected to your TV, then from your TV use an hdmi cable to connect to the Soundbar.
