I personally hate the phrase “outside the box”, because to simplify it all to a box is very 1 dimensional. I use the Birdcage in my talks and training seminars - take away the bars and the bird flies free. But each bar is put there by us, from assumptions to rules we impose. By removing the bars we remove what holds our minds back. Kids are certainly more creative but useless at “applied creativity” - which is what business and companies like NASA need.
What happens if we think AS the box? Does the box like people thinking inside it or outside it? What if it actually wants to be someplace else? Away from all this 'crazy' people using it for purposes the box does not find exciting? Methinks it is critical we think DESPITE the box, WITHOUT the box and AS the box.
Excellent talk on creativity by Chris . What a pleasure it was to be trained by Chris on creativity & mind mapping !
The ending is epic
This is a great video to use during the training sessions, thanks Chris.

There is no box, how would you ship your products? I love how this concept changes they way we think!
Great presentation! Extremely helpful
Excellent.
Think out of the box, great idea. Mind Maps allow you to think out of the box.
