Thanks! There was one other line I wanted to cut it on but I kinda chickened out due to risk of fracturing the stone, or getting too far off the center of the pattern. Always fun to see what’s inside a good one though. Thanks for tuning in!
@@ashleydp91 I do wish I had taken the risky line, as I feel the pattern would have been just a touch more pleasing to the eye, but I couldn’t really complain in the end. Thanks for tuning in!
@@v7i5k2t5o7r looking back, if I could do it again I would have went with the risky cut, through most of the husk and not trying to cut an open pattern. It would have come out a nicer pattern I think, with a better full border.
@@waywardwoodward It happens that you plan to cut along the selected line, but before cutting, the planned suddenly changes. An agate stone, as if it itself indicates how to cut it
Darn! It’s usually posted on all the Fairburn groups on Facebook, and I did toss up a video about it when I got there. Maybe next year you can make it! It’s usually the same weekend each year.
Here it is after a polish! Feel free to follow me over on Facebook as well!

It was good to hear that the show went well. I thought that agate you cut looked like a butterfly when you first opened it. Great video!
That rock show is always a good time! 🦋 Thanks for watching!
That was awesome before you cut it. Absolutely stunning now! Thanks for sharing with us
My pleasure!
You sure called that one right. Beautiful butterfly pattern rivaling anything I've seen. Great call!

That one was a fun cut!
@@waywardwoodward Yes, with such an agate, you need to puzzle out how to cut it
