The only reason it can seem that way is wet kits get plumbed in with fuel systems because they *need* more fuel because funnily enough, they are effectively adding more air to the combustion process. Nitrous oxide itself is often referred to as chemical supercharging for this reason, it basically is bonded nitrogen and oxygen which split up during the combustion process and effectively introduces more "air" to the burn but in a way way denser form than you get naturally. This is the reason you cannot run a nitrous car in a naturally aspirated class

Dude. Nitrous is a liquid/vapour. Its part of the fuel department. Its has nothing to do with aspiration (Forced air induction etc).
