Introduction and Interview:
Lasts about 4-5 minutes and gives the examiner the chance to find out a little about you through some simple 'getting-to-know-you' questions.
The Long Turn:
In the exam you have to speak between 1 and 2 minutes on a set topic based on information on a card the examiner will give you. You'll be a given a minute to prepare what you want to say - just enough time to write down some ideas which may help you give your talk structure and also make it interesting.
Two-Way Discussion:
Lasts between 4-5 minutes, you will participate in a discussion with the examiner based on the topic in Part 2. The examiner is likely to ask you questions based on your experience or opinion of the subject.

I hope she will be my examiner when I take my test. She seems so charming, not intimidating and kind looking that I will not get too anxious during the exam.

it's not an alphabet, it's actually words, each character is a word so there are more than five thousand this is why it's so hard to learn Chinese and also the pronunciation it's really complex since they have a tone system. I can't speak Chinese well, just a little bit!

Helsic Yiverus many examiners in fact are so lifeless and robotic, and they may not make eye contact with you, which drives you even more nervous.

Guys, if your really going to take an IELET speaking test soon, you dnt need to knw this girl score, however, you may need to write down all the questions asked by the examiner, and prepare the answer for your IELET speaking test, record your voice and listen it again, if your pronunciation is so bad, you should improve it. Case Closed.

Andrey Green Not agree. Although her pronunciation is not really clear, but she sounds natural. So, she deserves band 7.
I was surprised that the student achieved a band 7, to be honest. I thought the examiner had to ask her an awful lot to get a response from her. I would have thought a band 6 was more appropriate.
the IELTS speaking test assessment is so damn subjective, the first time I took it I got a 9.0, the second time 'round I got a 7.5 even though it was obvious I spoke well!! but then again it was clear the examiner didn't like the way I talked and always seemed dissatisfied with my answers; in the end it really depends on the examiner I guess.

She deserved Band 7, she speak natural and calm. Even she did not perform well in the Part 2, but she did a good job on Part 1 and 3.
I love the examiner. If I had the examiner like her, I would get better score in IELTS :)

I personally understand that she deserves a 7! She never hesitated, gave proper answers to the questions asked. Obviously she´ll have a strong accent that at times, is difficult to understand, but I do not consider this a problem... I´m also preparing myself for the IELTS, if anyone wants to skype: Rafael Baeske (Brazil).
I took the speaking test a couple of years ago in the philippines. To be honest, I did way better than her but I got 6.5.

i submitted for ielts test twice and i think speaking test depends on tutor degree of subjectivity , first time i have talked to a man he was so slow with his question and give me time between questions his voice was calm , the second time i have talked to women who is very fast she was talking to me like we in race her voice was very load she annoying person ,of course this is my personal opinion and will never influence over their strategy but i must say it i could pass but she was annoying and unsupported person

You've got a lot of grammatical mistakes in your comment and this could be the reason why you didn't secure your desired bands.
I like the examiner she is so charming ,looking at her make me feel comfortable,it is really important to make the students relaxed ,anyone come passing the test would be a little bit nervous and confused so dear examiners smile like this Lady please !!

She was fluent albeit with many grammatical errors. Her pronunciation was middling but she communicated, naturally. She used phrasal verbs and discourse markers without hesitation. Grammar is secondary to fluency anyway. If you communicated as well as she did without errors and with better pronunciation then you'd get a 9. She hadn't memorised anything as many do. If you need to practice Part 1 then forget IELTS for the next 12 months especially if you want to spend a ton of money to study at some British University.
this student's psychological situation seems to be quite peaceful and stable, not anxious or nervous at all, I don't think whether I can act like her. Maybe it is because
the examiner is peaceful.

She says if you study maths or physics, its ok but if you study literature or stg you should focus and its hard with music.

The examinerlady asked her to describe a gift and if were the girl I'd say "oh you want me to describe to you my first time?" and maybe the examiner lady would have laughed and I'd say it's just a joke... a bad joke ... and then we'd have laughed. I think that when you take the speaking exam... being nervous is the worst thing that could happen to you. I'm going to take my IELTS in a few weeks and I really hope don't get nervous.

Joe Elyahchouchi It was great! it was not as good as expected but it was a very nice time, actually I was afraid of the speaking test but it went pretty good. We talk about movies and what I enjoy to do in my freetime. And actually the speaking part was my best.

It seems quite easy all parts. Despite the fact she did not use a big range of vocabulary and complex sentences she could reach 7 band score, give me hopes so I'm dread about speaking part. I feel I need more practice, sometimes my mind just get blank. I don't know exactly why, 'cause I'm able to write, listen and read in a razonable way.. Help me!

A strong 7. She has no idea of the questions in part 3 and it is normal to say don't know. She is able to speak with control in part 1 and 2.

I cant believe I got band 7 and THIS "all my respect" also got 7 ....Iam also taking the exam in few days again and I don't know then what to say MORE than I said in the speaking to get more than 7 ??? if thats what it takes to have band 7 ?? i MEAN LISTEN to her pronunciation for god sake ....why on hell she got 7 ?????
+Mssright M this exemplar is taken from the Official IELTS practice Materials 2 (2009) published by Cambridge and this candidate only achieved 5.5.
+Grace Kuo seriously? Your standard is that high. I think she surely deserves 7 though her pronunciation is not so perfect but it is fine. Her fluency and intonation are quite impressed and her speech is natural which is understandable for getting that score.

It is not the examiner that gives you the score, your interview is listened by another person and they gave your score
