Miller Harris Scherzo Unboxing (blind buy 😑. . a quick and unhelpful review 👍)

I'm a man 58 years old was visiting my daughter at Cambridge University and was walking around the town then smelt this beautiful exotic oud smell coming out of a air conditioning system I had to find out where it was coming from it was the Miller Harris store. I had to buy it there and then I am a fragrance collector and I have never smelt a fragrance as unique as sherzo it's stunning on a man it smells unbelievable
This is a oud that can be worn in summer time. And the ingredients are so natural smelling sensational stuff

Thanks for watching and commenting. I think I'm the only person I know so far that's had a negative experience with Scherzo. I so hoped to have the lovely experience that you described. I think most people do find it beautiful and exotic, but I think my skin doesn't enjoy certain musks, and unfortunately they pull heavy on me. So glad it worked out for you xxx

Oh Lizzie, we live and we (don’t) learn, but I still enjoyed watching this! I agree, the bottle and the presentation is beautiful, but I also wouldn’t enjoy it, even if I just go from the notes. Scherzo is a musical term by the way and describes a joyful piece of music (like a joke; Scherz in German is a “harmless joke”, but I guess the musical term comes from Italian as we pronounce it “skertso”). It doesn’t seem to bring you too much joy.

I think I did read the story and concept of Scherzo a while back, but filming today, i had forgotten it all. I wish this failed blind buy would indeed be my lesson learnt. . But I guess we all know better than that.

I get expensive fabric softener or perfumey laundry detergent from this scent on my skin. It’s not awful but it’s not my favorite…but I’m also someone who doesn’t get the hype of Baccarat - I wear the Extrait and have never received a single compliment or had someone notice my perfume when I’m wearing it lol. I bought a travel set blind of Scherzo based on Jus’ review. I don’t get her love for this scent? It’s my least fav personally in my collection but I’m still going to wear it out a few times and see if others feel the same.

I have had the exact experience that you describe. I bought the Discovery Set from Miller Harris and have now sampled all of them twice. I definitely don’t like Scherzo, and my husband and daughter agree. Your description of the experience is accurate in my opinion.

I love it haha. I have 2 100 ml bottles. I love musk by the way. But there is no musk listed in this..

I feel like I know EXACTLY what you mean by 'low,' although i've not heard anyone else say that. interesting.

I'm go glad other people smell notes that "aren't listed" too.
Oh! It's YOU!!! I'm currently not able to get over how very emotional I am to be hearing your voice and watching it come out of your lovely face.
This IS helpful because a) I got to see you and b) I'm not a musk enthusiast, nor do I like rose...nor oud...and so I know that this scent would only appeal to me if I BLIND BOUGHT IT and then spent the rest of the calendar year forcing myself to like it. :p 🤪

Julija. . . Your too good for my ego 🙈🙈🙈. I look horrendous but I felt like being impulsive so I went for it. Lol
I always smell weird stuff, and I usually chicken out and reference the notes so that there's some normality and structure.. but more dullness i guess 🤣🤣.
It's safe to say you probably won't enjoy Scherzo. Oud, Rose, musk. . The whole lot!

It's pronounced like "skertso" but then I've hardly ever heard a Brit pronounce "bruschetta" right (-sk-) either. Thank you for the info. Bit baffling, some of it, but it all adds to the mental picture. I see I'm not the only one who understands what you mean by "low" here (although I use "high" for the opposite more). I haven't tried the fragrance but I have had a similar effect of just not smelling very much on my skin from one or two Molton Brown scents. Still, I really hope your Scherzo really was genuine and unopened and had been stored correctly--I can't see how it would be any other way, but yeah--because some of what you're experiencing (or not experiencing) sounds a bit as if yours was past its best.

After watching Jus de Rose gush over this perfume, I was really expecting a sweet floral fragrance. I bought 4 samples because I really thought I was getting something different than I got.
At first when I smelled it, I thought it was "okay" so I sprayed some more.........I am now feeling nauseous from a certain note in this perfume that is so strong. It smells smoky, sweet and musty.....Not appealing aromas if you ask me. Maybe it's the Oud that I'm smelling that is turning me off?? I don't smell any citrus and no Peony whatsoever. Just that one note that is making me ill. I just don't get the hype at all. It goes to show you that frangrance love is subjective. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

It's definitely subjective. And it's so weird how we all get something different. I agree there's something off in here. I didn't get any sweetnes or pretty florals here. Just a strange airy glue thing. I found it very unusual and definitely headache inducing. Not a safe blind buy whatsoever 🤣
