Also pretty sure Rod Roddy read the wrong description or specs on that car. 1986 Trans Am had a 5.0(305 cubic inches) Chevrolet V8 standard. Came with either a carburator or then new for 1986 "Tune Port Injection" sequential fuel injection 5.0 V8, I also think for 1986 you could order the 5.7 V8(Chevy 350) Tune Port fuel injected motor. V6 was for the base Firebird, all 3rd gen Trans Ams had a V8 standard of some sort. Anyways, that was a pretty damn hot shit car for 1986. Both in terms of looks and performance, they were revolutionary compared to some of the crap put out in the late 70's/early 80's.

Dealership must have gotten it confused with the base Firebird when they sent over the spec list, which did have the 2.8L V6.
