He also shouldn't have said what he said from 2:26-2:33 because it's not necessarily Yvonne's fault that the ball got stuck up here, it's the designer's fault for designing the outer ring so that the ball could balance at the very top of that ring. And at 3:45 Yvonne wasn't arguing with Bob, so Bob shouldn't have said what he did there either. Yvonne probably did the best she could but still did poorly.

Never worked, though. As for Bob - legendary host to be sure, but his reputation for being a world-class prick at times was obviously not by accident.

He did and he didn't. He'd often rib people for failing on common sense things in a good-natured way but he didn't take long to become a dick in this one and then stayed that way throughout.
