From someone who works in a camera store that sells these, I'd warn anyone to steer clear from these particular reusables. I've probably sold a hundred of these. The Agfa shown in this video, as well as the Ilford Sprite, Harman reusable and Kodak M35 are all the same model with a different front and all have the same problems with wind-up wearing down quickly, shutter breaking and the flash electronics frying. Our RMA is near 100%, and the manufacturer knows this, but of course they are dirt cheap to stock and pretty much any stores that sell these are still earning money from film sale and development so they won't be taken off the shelves anytime soon. Put your money towards a used late 90's point-and-shoot if you want something that will last you more than 3 films. If you can't find that in your area and absolutely need a new reusable, the Lomography models that come loaded with film are in my experience a lot more reliable, but they look less fancy and you have the added step of rolling out your film before shooting, which makes loading a bit more complicated for beginners.
Yeah I bought one and the flash stopped working after like the 3rd picture. I’m just really disappointed and scared about how the pictures will look now
I just bought the Ilford Sprite myself and was curious on how 200 film stock would look on it & the Agfa. I'm genuinely surprised by the photos you took, they look lovely! Thanks for a great view :)
This video got suggested to me. And it's just what I needed. Thank you! I can't wait to get started. I really want to document my travels in a more unique way and film cameras are the best way to do it, if you ask me.
Appreciate the video. Although the Agfa camera looks like a simple rebrand when compared with the Ilford Sprite, I have to say that from what I've seen, it looks like the Agfa camera is more attractive. It's still a plastic camera, but I like that it has information on the lens as a glass lens would and the silver has a nice metallic gloss rather than the off-white, very plastic look of the Ilford. All things considered, if the price was the same I think I would go with the Agfa for that reason.
I got one as a present and I dont' have a lot of opportunities to purchase film (very difficult to find where i am) so i wanted to say thanks for all the advice to help me not waste precious film !!

@@hurryupnbuy how much did you spend for your cameras and where did you get them from?
I just recently purchased the Ilford 35mm camera and I added some Ilford b+w ISO125 36 Exp for my trip to back from the west coast though I am still awaiting the development.
Love the video! Since these are analogue photos, how do you upload them so cleanly on digital to then show on your RUclips video? Do you take a picture with your phone or do you maybe use a sort of scanner? Thanks!
I recently used a disposable camera and I used flash for every picture and they came out amazing, even when it’s light outside, flash makes the picture look really good
can you get a harman ez-35 35mm film Camera with Automatic load, frame advance and rewind and review it it is my favourite Camera and would love to see you do a video on it
It's great to see reusable 35mm cameras on sale, but they aren't very good. F9 in 2022? That was a poor spec pre 1939! Buy a refurbished Olympus Trip or similar instead.
$50 is ludicrous for a fixed focus, zero modes, plastic lens.... I'm happy that there is a new film camera, but for a camera like this I'd get the same thing for a tenner.
Ive taken so many pictures and now it says S !! Why is it saying this? Have i not loaded the film properly and now lost everything?? Pls someone help thank you
Addition: what I just found out is that there are no films with iso 1600 to buy. But there are still iso 3200 films for extremely low light conditions. Also, you could overexpose films with lower iso to get nice pictures.
Do you have a video on film? I bought an AGFA Silette LK sensor on the flea market and I have no idea what film to buy. I'm a total beginner with (film) cameras :) Some tips would be great!
I bought this camera and used fujifilm 200 color and nearly all my photos came out as a blank yellow image or extremely yellow-tinted regardless of the time of day or if the flash was used. Any theories as to why this happened?
Hey! It happened to me too at first! But then i realised that the flash button or lever might not be pushed enough. And also make sure to not take photo right after opening the flash, need to wait around 10-15sec before pressing the shutter button.
I haven’t had that issue yet, but no doubt a few awesome people have gotten back to you on this! I’d just suggest make sure there are fresh batteries in the body and that the notch is properly switched to on :)
Had to return mine because the aperture was super floppy. The chinese knockoff version of this camera is even worse quality. it doesnt even have a changing aperture + the flash button works backwards.
If someone wants to try film, there are way much better options than all these hipster craps. For example, you could get a real camera from the 50s (probably for less money) and hold and use something decend and fun. Not to mention that the 50s camera will outdate you and your urge for analog 🤣
Honestly still can’t believe you’re only at 1k subs. Congrats and defo deserving of so much more! ✨
hahaha as long as y'all watching are enjoying, that's what matters! Thanks fo the support :)
The Agfa can be had for $25 American. That’s a far cry from $1000

@Starry Night From my experience I'd say somewhere between one and five films.
Any insight on the new Kodak Ultra F9?
Which one do you recommend then? I just want camera to take photos of my family that I can stick in a book

I heard there was one film photographer that did not use low fi hip hop in the videos and he became a holy spirit
A miracle for sure haha

Ahhh so happy to hear brother!
Congrats on the 1k Subs my guy! Killing it 🚀
Still owed 1 neck slap! Thanks Queen x
A lot of reviews complain about film jams 😰 I’m glad it’s working out for you tho, I saved this on Amazon and will def try one
No issues yet! Awesome setup for the price :)
I was looking for inspiration and found your channel, beautiful photos my dude 👏
So glad mate!
What an informative and entertaining video!!! You managed to get information across while keeping it so interesting 👏
Thank you so much! That’s so kind :)
loved the video Matty! great to see other aussies/kiwis that are shooting film and making youtube videos ;)
Thanks so much! I'll be sure to keep it up!
35 mm film makes super nice color on photo
Actually some of those cameras have two apertures, by changing to flash you get f16 or close to that. Cheers 👍

which film is better to use in this camera? can anyone help me with the right film to use with this camera, please?
I wouldn’t say it’s a cheap camera considering you can but many vintage film cameras for much less than that price.

Hey! I just used basic Kodak Colorplus 200 :) I think it worked great for these!

If you had to choose between the Agfa and the ilford sprite, what would be your tendency and where do you see the main difference. Great review!
Afaik they are the same thing, just different brand written on it.
This camera is honestly really nice, I just wish there was a zoom on it…also my flash is kinda broke I don’t know why lol
which film are you using?
Fuji guy?? Earned my subscription immediately!
very good!! Did you use flash in the beach photos? do you really only use it in portrait?

Hey Arianna! I used Kodak Colorplus 200 :) Hope that helps!
Thanks for this Video!! Which film did you use during this video? :)
Hey,
I want to buy the same camera, but i wondering how to get the photos on a PC ?
Do i need to buy something else to do that ?

What film did you use? Sorry if I missed it:)
hi just wanna ask what to do if accidentally press the reset button? can still use the film roll or no .
hi j have a question if there a film that can has to be used in dark palaces because my flash is suoer bright and j want to go to a party
what kind of film roll did you use?
Do i always have to use flash with this camera, indoors and outdoors?

Do you use light meter with thes camera
naw, i have the ilford sprite 35 ii (same thing basically) and you cant change shutter speed, aperature, etc, so theres no reason to measure
Na I don’t my man! Exact reason given here as well :) it’s just a fun point and shoot so I just shoot and expose my best with this one!
Hi! Can you send me the link of the film that you used for these photos?
could you get the pictures prossesed at a printing shop

Which kodak film did u mention?
What roll are you using??
is kodak colorplus 200 good for photos at night?
200 ISO seems a bit too low. At night with little light you should use 400, 800 or 1600 ISO.
Addition: what I just found out is that there are no films with iso 1600 to buy. But there are still iso 3200 films for extremely low light conditions. Also, you could overexpose films with lower iso to get nice pictures.
I have one question: if I take a picture, do I have to put it in the computer or does it come out of the camera?
You have to connect your **** to the camera to download the photos

Hmmm sounds like possibly an issue with the actual development of your shots! Did you take it somewhere you trust? Maybe get in contact with them!
how old was the film?
Can you get 72 frames from 36 frames in this camera?
Nope because it ain't a half frame camera. Try Kodak Ektar H35
The way you praised it for not being disposable as if that was the default infuriates me a little. Otherwise amazing video!
what film is the afga?
how I get this camera and film

You go to a photo labor and they digitalize the roll for you
