Should buy a Puig windscreen for your bike Aprilia ones are universal and come in smoked plastic or plain plastic and easy to mount there different hieghts and keep the rain of the front of you and cover your dash board dials from rain I have one and it helps with rain on the front of you and keeps water of the clocks and speedo dials.

I have 200 s version. With good tires (Also stock one is good) and front breaks it is no problem. I have even hopped from speed bump in the storm :D but becareful for actions that quick breaks, acceleration and maneuver. They are common mistakes in all motorcycles when ground is wet.

do you ever regret the colour ? I am just considering now and I am tending to a brighter Red - more for safety and being more visible on the thing - any thoughts ?

Hi, to be honest I didn’t have much choice at the time. These bikes were few and far between when I bought mine, the only dealer anywhere near me just had the one in his showroom. I do like the sports models with the brighter colours and graphics but then again I ride on a provisional licence so sporty graphics can look a bit silly when you have an “L” plate front and rear 😄. I wear a white helmet with hi vis adhesive strips and hi vis jacket panels so hopefully I’m visible enough. Two Scottish winters completed so far and no mishaps 🤞

Don't accelerate out of corners especially if that corners going uphill in the rain I mean don't have the bike leaned over accelerating around corners in the rain you will drop

Hello, thanks for your video. Personally, I don't like to ride in the rain :) I have to admit I have a totally different opinion and different experience with these tires on this scooter. When I test rode it, it never really felt safe, especially when going over road markings (in dry riding conditions). I finished off my test ride with a crash at very low speed where the ABS should have kicked in ... which obviously it does not have :) So, my personal advice would be: Always get a two-wheeled vehicle with ABS.

Thanks for your thoughts, I tend to ride most in town at low speeds, not had any issues with the tyres in the wet so far, maybe they would be more obvious on longer, faster rides but I tend to keep them for the summer months

@@ewanmcgovern Hi, had a PCX myself in the past and it was a great scooter. Whether the Aprilia will last 47000 miles remains to be seen but in terms of handling I prefer it to the PCX. In terms of accessories it’s worth keeping an eye on AliExpress as this seems to be where new things appear, there isn’t much available in terms of “official” accessories. Thanks for watching the video, all the best.

How is wind protection on the bike in general? I mean the knees and legs area. Wider/taller screen would be a good upgrade.

I find the bike handles pretty well in high winds, and don’t have any issues with leg/knee protection although that may be down as much to good trousers as anything else, having said that the fairing is quite wide so it’s better than some scooters. I’m not a fan of tall screens but I have seen plenty owners go for them

ABS would be better in poor conditions, combined braking system on this Piaggio was not a good choice.
