- 10 Awesome INDIE Strategy Games you should check out. I've been playing a lot on indie strategy games lately, looking for something different of what I've been playing. And with literally thousand of indie games available I made a list with 10 of the most AWESOME ones I've come across. NO EARLY ACCES, all games on the list are complete releases. I plan on making more of these lists in the future so let me know in the comments of any other AWESOME INDIE STRATEGY GAMES I should include.

I like that an indie youtuber is giving us something fresh. Thanks BeyondDM!
this is a great video, so much variety in the types of games, and all the games I know deserve to be on here. got a sub
thanks bro i love your list and how you explain everything
I love how this list is so diverse, I was quite surprised, that I haven't seen quite a lot of these games before (Bad North looks quite interesting).
Some very good titles I haven't heard about. Thank you!
I hope you come back and make more videos at some point. Love your content, and the way you respond to comments. I think you would do very well, even though you've been gone for a year.
I will try few of these, thanks!
great video. thanks for the suggestions. will be trying defcon asap.
thx man, enjoy :)
Thank you for this video!
I played a lot of Defcon when it came out, fantastic game.
wargroove is the style of game I love the most
Slay is an old game but a great one worth checking out!
My favourite Rts game is Dark colony.
Skulls of Shogun is one of teh best Indie Strat titels ;) Together with into the breach
nice video mate
thx man :)
0 AD....you should mention that one... If anyone loves Age of Empire...they should try that one....and is absolutely free to download and to play.
Is it on steam?
thank you
Just subbed

all of those are 2 categories: 1 decent, has fitting graphics and ok gameplay, 2 that ones that have ok gameplay but the graphics are bad for the game, like making a 3d game but that 3d is worthless, i mean talking about banished where is being 3d important in the gameplay? it`s not like you have a use of it like in factory town or bad north, i don`t see any feature that requires 3d graphics except burning weaker pcs and being wasted for low graphic settings since yes there are people like me with weaker devices that don`t look for high graphics, plus the only need of 3d models is in case it involves going north, south, east, west, UP and DOWN like in bad north with it`s cliffs. also the steampunk art on the menu makes you confused instead of helping you
to think bad north and into the breach went to Epic game store for free for a week, people shouldnt be missing out haha
yeah indeed, and they were both included with box game pass for pc as well :)
starts at 1:22
Added in a table of contents, thx for the reminder :)
So mutant year zero was a strategy game i thought its a fps/tps game
I was looking for an awesome game with xcom style combat for the list, and thought Mutant Year Zero was the best one. I originally was going with phoenix point, but I had technical difficulties
@@BeyondDM btw i sub baby!
Awww, chromosome evil did not made it to the list :(
Never heard of that one, I'll check it out :)
Pretty interesting list. But please do yourself a favor and check out K E N S H I.
Looks pretty cool, I've put it on my wishlist and I'll wait for a sale. Thx for the tip!
Never would have thought that I would spend this much time to see the map. Hoi4 is a great game with cheats (can be found in cheatland).
more of a europa universalis and stellaris fan myself but most of the paradox grand strategy games are awesome :)
Why would you put citybuilders in strategy games list? They're egonomy/tycoon more than strategy. Only common thing with strategy games is perspective. Also Mutant Year Zero is not a strategy game, it just has tactical combat system. But except that, that is a solid recommendation list anyway, all the games are really worth playing. ;)
yeah sorry I know, I sometimes play Age of Empires like a citybuilder or Zeus like an RTS (like a weirdo) just to mess around :p. I'll keep them out of future lists and make separate ones for citybuilders/tycoon games though. I'm just testing the water with this youtube stuff atm :)
@@BeyondDM It's just my opinion. You can always play Fallout 4 like a citybuilder, which is what I did with plenty of settlement mods installed. I'm guilty just as much :D ;)
@@zardzewialy haha glad to know there are some likeminded people out there :)
What game on 0:54?
That's Forged Battalion, made by a few ex-Westwood employees store.steampowered.com/app/686260/Forged_Battalion/
@@BeyondDM thanks)) Westwood? That explains why it looks like new part of command and conquer
@@ruslanlukovskii6743 haha yeah there are quite a few similarities
DO NOT BUY BANISHED!
It is really nice and a good game.
...UNTIL you see how it works and want to get into it a little bit more. It just lacks content and gets boring after you figured the hard basics. It hit me stone cold when i realized that. Its like an unfinished product.
After couple of hours, there are no new buildings or mechanics or challenges.
Yeah I know what you mean. I still think for the price it's worth getting though, because there's a lot of mods and scenarios available as well. Also upping the difficulty can get you some new challenges and it can get pretty brutal on the higher levels
