Maria you are the best you give the best advice on growing plants I found your channel 8 months ago at that time I didn't know a lot about how to care for succulents and cactus but now I know a lot with your help thank you 😊
Hello Maria my friend. I love the variegated ginger and I really love it as your hat! Lol. Have you ever had it bloom? The blooms are so beautiful and very different looking. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! Simple and easy instructions. I have 2 huge gingers in my front yard and just added a bunch of new beds in the backyard, so I wanted to propagate some of the ginger from the front bc there's so much. This plant grows BEAUTIFULLY in southeast Texas. Excited to add more of this gorgeous ginger to my new flower beds!
Hello Maria. I love the look of this plant. I think I will try this plant in pots by my front door. Only gets very late day sun there. Everywhere else around my house is too sunny all day. Your headwrap matches the variegated ginger perfectly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love with us. 💜💜💜 Judy from new port richey hey
Love your garden Maria 👍🏻. I have those ginger plants , I planted 6 years ago . They’re beautiful. Sometimes I cut them down completely and they grow back beautiful!!! I need to fertilize , they’re low maintenance indeed . You keep inspiring me , I getup and push myself to keep taking care of my garden . It’s so rewarding 😃. I love your head wrap 😍
Thank you so much I learned so much from your video . I brought mine inside because the cold weather was so harsh on my plant . Now I know how to propagate it in the spring .
I just want to listen to you talk! 😁 Reminds me of my grandma from Mexico. Also, I love how you don’t get gardening clothes on to garden. 😆 I do the same thing. I’m usually in a dress but I’m barefoot.
First, 😆 your head scarf matches the ginger. I just bought 2 HUGE ones trileaves .. cream, pink, red on underside, beautiful, from Lowe’s, only 3 left. It’s so hard to find anything with color here in Florida, so many flowers and plants can’t grow here in Florida. That’s the one thing I really miss about living up north.. There r like 6+ plants in each pot I’m going to seperate them and plant them between my house wall and sidewalk going up to our front porch. This area is long and I think wide enough. However there is another area opposite of it, not as long, but it’s not as wide. I’m not sure what to plant, but it needs to be so it doesn’t grow out into the sidewalk as much Or people will be walking on leaves 😝 ty for the video, this was helpful!
Beautiful foliage. I may try to grow it again next year. Neighbor had some given to her after her brother, a landscaper had to remove it on a job. she shared but neither of us had success wrong time of year I guess. Tks for showing.
Willa Johnson Hi my friend Willa went you plant any new needs a six month of care if doesn’t rain you need to water twice a week until you see need stems grow the plant is establish then the plant be ok thank you Maria’s garden
OMG So happy I found this channel, I wish you were my Auntie, you're amazing!! That hair wrap!! 💚🌱 I tried looking for the plant you call Donkey Tail at 6:53 but I cannot find this plant by searching that name (a different type of plant comes up), does this go by another name? I love the animal-like spots on it!
Hi Maria, I had a very large variegated ginger - so large it was smothering all the plants around it. So we decided to separate it and propagate it on the other side of the house. I wish I had watched your video first... It has been 3 weeks and the leaves are starting to brown... Is this okay? I'm worried it did not survive the separation. Is there anything we can do to save it? It is Spring here in Australia.
mnat2801 Hi my friend yes what you can do is cut all the leaves and water three times a week also apply 4 tablespoons of Epsom salt unscented around the soil water until the salt despair only every six to seven weeks thank you maria’s garden
hi Maria- my mom planted a persimmon tree during the hottest week in summer this past season. most of the leaves fell off i think due to shock. there are three of four leaves still on the tree but no additional growth or buds. what do you suggest we do to help it back to health? any suggestions? thanks!
msjinabina hi my friend went you plant any type of tree on the summer is ok but you need to care for a least six months to make sure you stabilize first thing watering every day for about to week and after that watering every other day for about four weeks after that you need too watering twice a week for the next for five months until you see any new stems grow that’s when you stop worrying she need to apply fertilizer like sulphur , and watering very good if you tree has green leaves just need a little care thanks Maria’s garden
Same happened to me here in the scorching heat and sun of San Antonio Texas all the leaves burned crispy so I finished removing them added rabbit compost and mycorrhiza fungi organic compost at least two inches away from the tree trunk and watered every day, in less than two weeks new growth of leaves everywhere these new leaves seem to be handling the afternoon sun and heat very well
I just bought 3 ginger plants 1 white 1 yellow and hot pink or red and potted them in the same pot .... forgot to label which one is red white or yellow .. u know how to tell the difference between these 3 ??? They only bout 4 unches tall
Daanish/Ali Raza yes you can planted any time of the year but is not going to propagate until summer time if you can buy the answer is yes have fun gardening love Maria’s garden 😘
I recently bought this type of plant. Super inlove with its pattern! You put in dirt, coffee ground, what was the third one? And the man I bought this from said it should be partial sun, is it alright for it to be full sun?
Hi, I’m leaving another comment but seperately. Could use please do a video on HOSTAS?? There r 2 or 3 that can be grown here. I just bought 9 lol for various areas. Mine are light green leaves with white/cream colored edges.
jasmin pirel Hi Jasmine how much it is because when I was at the plant show my friend have for sale about tens dollars let me know thank Maria’s garden
I understand this this variety is ornamental... I am thinking about getting this and the tricolor version... but I am wondering if the rhizomes are edible? Does anyone know?
Chickmamapalletfarm Hi my friend not as commonly used as the root, the leaves and shoots of ginger are edible they are mainly as a flovorful garnish much as you would chopped chives or onion rather than eaten on their own thank you Marias Garden
Maria’s Garden, wonderful! Thank you for the quick reply! I have subscribed to your channel and am doing a bit of a Maria’s garden binge watching night. I really enjoy your energy! I am so thrilled I found you!
Yanyan Marie Hi my friend all you need to do restart just like propagate pulled out the soil wash the roots with the hose cut about 2 to 3 inch of the roots and reported in new soil with Epsom salt unscented and time release fertilizer and water when dry but make sure you temperature is 70 degrees or higher if to hot place under a tree or morning sun only 3 to 4 hours thank you Maria’s garden

C P Hi my friend yes his right is partial sun only this plant don’t like to much sun thanks Maria’s garden 🐝🐛🐝😂🐜
Planting in full sun will cause blossoms to wilt swiftly. Partial is ok but shade is best so blossoms last longer
