I'm planning a new cast on tomorrow after just finishing a pair of shorties that have the worst holes I've ever seen! I sometimes have a small one on one side but these are pisspoticle! So your little nugget of wisdom couldn't have come at a better time for me, Thank you Nancy ❤
Thank you! Thank you! It's an excellent method of closing the gap. I usually SSK after the instep to mimic the decreases to come. I also love your method of using two sizes of interchangeable needles shown in your recent podcast.
Thanks for that little tip , will certainly be trying that one on my current knit. Was lovely to see your work close up - it is all so neat and perfect, something I can’t say about mine I’m afraid 🌸🌸
I wimped out and used a very tiny crochet hook to get the yarn through those loops and then put that stitch on the right hand needle. I also couldn’t let go of the security of knitting those picked up stitches through the back loop on the first round to tighten things up a little more but that area is just as solid as can be! Thank you so much Nancy you sock guru! 😍
@@knitsiphappy I tried the garter edge of the heel flap the other day not sure if I'll get the second sock done. I found it extremely hard to see what stitch to pick up. Not sure if my sock yarn is just that fine and not plump enough to see .
What a great, easy fix! I have done something kinda sorta like it but it was never so easy and pretty.... i will now use your simple and tidy method. Thank you for sharing that!!
My pleasure❣️ I love seeing little videos like that with different techniques. Such a small change in doing things to make a big difference in the finish
I like it, but I have to modify it to make it deeper. I have a high arch and instep, so it doesn't fit me well as it is. Thats an issue with short row heels.
Wonderful instructions!! Thank you Nancy❣️
Thank you Jane 💕
