This track is a cute little introduction to the first section of Exhale, following after the more bombastic opening track, Midnight. There's a lot of fun elements here that I really enjoyed incorporating - using clock ticks and ambient foot steps as percussion, the mechanical percussive elements contrasting with the organic synths that underpin the whole track, and some wide acoustic guitar chords to give everything some real depth and space. This also has a twin in the penultimate track, A City, Alive, that shares a lot of elements with this piece and features reinterpretations of the same leitmotifs. We'll slowly be exploring the night's oncoming storm in the next few tracks!
