1. Editing Chloe’s sweater is cute 2. I personally loved this video 3. I’m proud of you for taking that leap with your channel, because had you not pursued RUclips we wouldn’t have ever met. 💕
I think the trend toward "photo realism" has a very negative influence on a lot of artists. They feel like their art is crap if it "doesn't look perfect." Art isn't just about making pictures of things that look exactly like things. It can be about color, or movement, or visually expressing emotion. Not everyone will be good at everything. Find the art that fits you.
I don't know, I disagree with that on a partial level. I know as least right now I can't do that but it gives me some motivation to try harder, even if I never get to that level it will have improved my attention to detail. Also it seems to short circuit my type A personality, I KNOW that is world's above my level so while I feel challenged to try and pay attention, I don't feel badly when mine doesn't look the same.
I fullheartedly agree with you! However, I do think that studying realism, specifically highlights, shadows, and proportions, can actually help you find your preferred art. I remember when I was younger I would try to focus only on “anime,” and it ended terribly. I hated my art and didn’t draw for many years. Now, studying facial proportions, I have found I like a semi-realistic style, and I’m working on improving it! I believe that any art is art, but some is better quality than others. Honestly, seeing only realism bores me, and I don’t appreciate the techniques as much because it isn’t new.
Please never be one of those "anime/cartoons/fanart is not art" teachers. My high school one was and she completely ruined the self esteem of my sister who is actually really skilled but doesn't have a "realistic" style and I'm forever salty about it. Good luck all the same though! I hope it goes well for you.
@@ninetailedbren that's actually one thing I'm really passionate about. I'm an illustrator and definitely felt like at school I was taught that the only 'real' art is super realistic paintings or sculptures. I want to be able to teach them that other styles of art and design are still valid and aren't 'a lower level'
If it's not an art box unboxing channel, then I'm seeing a serious case of art block. Doesn't have any ideas, but needs to upload for income... Poor Chloe, I used to enjoy her videos much more
I feel like sleep is just really difficult when things are like this. I've been sleeping about every other night for the past weeks, and I'm really struggling with waking up for my classes. Hope we all get better soon
same, try listening to relaxing music and draw something, but don‘t think a lot about what you‘re drawing or how you want it to look like, just use pens or colours or what you have and like and just draw (eg: lines, forms, whatevers)
I’ve found that having a routine, even if it’s not a specific time, helps. I love to turn on my salt lamp, a diffuser, light a candle, open my window a bit, and read. It’s helped me sleep a lot!
It really does suck doesn't it? My husband used to think I didn't sleep on purpose! 🤣 Like I look forward to being sleepy all day! Now he has problems sleeping at night, lol. Just hope he never gets RLS.
The part about the art teachers hit home for me. I was always told when growing up ill never be good at this or that. Art was one of them, however it was always commented on things that aren't my style. My art work is always very textural and made out of different things rather than always drawing and painting. I love making my own felt into art and I am learning how to dry out flowers to use for pieces. I just finished customising my own shoes. My advise is learn about your own style or what you enjoy doing the most.
I used to work in a bead store, and we’d get people who’d come in and ask us to teach them to make stuff that would make them a bunch of money. All us minimum wage, beadwork lovers would just kind of laugh. Art, hobbies, etc - if you don’t already love them, the likelihood of you making enough money to make doing them worthwhile is SO SMALL.
I just love how positive you are. You inspire me to try harder and improve my art. I enjoy watching your videos while I craft. I've been struggling with some health issues and hadn't felt like crafting lately, but I discovered your channel and you were so funny and positive that you made me feel like creating again. :) keep being you.
Ok after a minute of thinking I finally realized who the haircut makes you “look like” and it’s Jodi Benson (Specifically when she was filming Little Mermaid! I remember a clip from the VHS 😂) I think it’s really cute!
If you're a lefty, I highly recommend Le Pen by Marvy Japan. They're sold in Hobby Blobby and Joanna's!!! They're very fine point. Better than that LePen flex. The LePen flex and LePen snow are their newest fad... they also have a LePen II, which is their dual tip classic fine point and brush tip. They are water based. They also have a colorless blender. I personally like them better than Tombow markers.
Oh yes, the regular Le Pens are fantastic. I've been using them for 35 years I bet for marking on wall calendars. The ink doesn't run out when you write vertically and they've always come in good colors like red, blue, green, etc.

I love your bangs!! (aka Fringe) When I was in high school waaaay back in the 80's Le Pen pens were a thing. We used to collect all the colors. They sold them individually in stationary stores at the mall.
I don't know if it's just me but Chloe looked emotional throughout the whole video, I know she's lacking sleeps but whatever the reason is I hope she's taking time for herself 💕
Chloe, you never ever have to apologize for not being peppy or upbeat. I know it's your online "personality" but damn, you're human. You're allowed to cut your hair and be tired and not even post videos if you want (if you can afford it financially of course). Like, don't worry about us, worry about yourself. We will all still be here waiting and ready to thrust you into the algorithms, tired Chloe, peppy Chloe, fringed Chloe, long-haired Chloe, all the Chloe's...just feel free to exist, unapologetically.
So I've always wanted to see you succeed, but hearing how supportive your family, especially your mom, are/is, makes me want to see it even more. I feel like you yave succeeded, but that's just comparing to me. I want to see you keep succeeding to higher and higher standards. I really feel you deserve it ♡.
I try to keep in mind when I’m watching someone online, I’m only seeing a brief snapshot of their life. Of course that snapshot couldn’t encompass their entire personality, and I also can’t fault them for choosing which aspects of their personality they share with me, a complete stranger.

I think I was lucky enough that the two art teachers I had in school where supportive of my art. They were the only ones who supported me and knew that my family didn’t. A lot of the time they stopped me from giving up when I wanted to because of family/parents. We have a creative background, my mother used to draw, my grandmother and great grandmother as well, yet the only support I got was from art teachers or my grandmother (but I hardly saw her.) Even now I struggle with being supported for my art, but I push through since it’s who I am and I would be a lot worse off if I gave up on what I love.

Artists aren't perfect. It's so true!! I think as artists we need to be there for each other instead of bringing each other down. And the ones that want to slam other artist don't listen to them. Their opinions aren't valid. It's hard but we are all unique and talented in our own way. Thank for this video Chloe! You are awesome!
the best thing of youtube is that when you love one artist you feel like following other artists and enjoy more and more art contento from more and more creators, it means they suport each others and help each other to grow just sharing trends
I realize that social media art posts are the 'highlight reel' but what gets me down is when I see an artist CONSISTENTLY posting beautiful art meaning their highlight reel is most of their art output! I've found that I have to take breaks from viewing other artworks so I don't get too down on myself. Thanks, Chloe. Hope you can get back to a restful night's sleep soon! BTW, do whatever you want with your hair! I'm here for your art and fun videos.

Your outfit looks amazing against your painting. Your bangs suit you really well. I'm guilty of staring at your painting, it is so beautiful and detailed. I'm so proud of you and how far you have come. Your humor is just perfect.
I’ve heard other creators comment that their video persona is just a bigger version of themselves. At least the ones that I enjoy you can kind of see that this is them, they’re not acting, it’s just more of who they are. Which is probably why I only enjoy creators like that. I don’t wanna watch somebody be fake, unless it’s for a skit. I love your fringe, super cute. And I enjoy your content.

You taught me to do art for the love of it again and to be okay if it didn’t look perfect because you as one of my favorite artists create things that sometimes don’t look perfect or exactly how you wanted them to. Thank you for everything. Love, best wishes, and good vibes to you and your family ❤️
I love your bangs!! (aka Fringe)
When I was in high school waaaay back in the 80's Le Pen pens were a thing.
I’m currently at university studying Computer Science and Visual Art! Computer Science can sometimes be hard to get through but having Art helps so much.
Her hair looks really good. I love her unboxing art subscription boxes.
"I tend to wear clothes of said people that i can't hug right now."
*me wearing one of my dads old shirts * Yeah :(
I am currently wearing my Father in Laws shirt and My Mother in laws slippers, weird I know but they give me comfort.
Why can’t u hug ur dad
@@ineedgoodname I don't live with my parents, and since I work in a place with lots of people around all the time, I think its best not to hug, at least until there's a better handle on Coronavirus
Chloe I love your vids... been watching you since the beginning of my art journey. Thank you😌
Thank you so much for this video! My cousin offered me the opportunity to start selling some art in her shop and you answered so many of the things I’d been trying to figure out with getting prints made etc. thanks for being awesome!!!
Just got my art snacks box!! I was super excited because you tempted me to try it with your videos~ All of these are fun and great, so thanks you recommending them! ❤
I love so much your content chloe it's so funny and it makes my days happier, you're an amazing inspiration for me, xoxo ✨
Love the fringe (or bangs as u call it in USA)
I really like Chloe's new bangs they look great!!
Chloe, you are truly a treasure. I enjoy watching your videos because I do find you to be an original. You may increase your bubbly energy for the camera but I believe you are you! I am also excited about you expanding your “brand” moving in other circles than RUclips and increasing your income in other areas. With your effervescent personality I can see you selling art kits, even art supplies! I do look forward to your videos and yes the entertainment value is there! I personally feel that your Art is good and getting better and I enjoyed your answers to the questions very much. I hope you continue to create and find joy in sharing your art journey with us! Thank you for continuing to be an example for everyone else and maintaining awareness during this time of covid! Be safe and take care.
Hiiii your art videos are super fun!!
Great answers Chole, I felt for the young student who is not liking art. Your answer was right on point. Thanks for taking time to help and encourage those watching today. Kia Kaha Chole.
Good to see you back.
I’d love to see your art! What’s your Instagram?
@@jessa6152 Most of my instagram lately shows experiments and scribbled down ideas- but if you'd like to see my art, search bloody.ex3 for my Instagram ☺️
I truly enjoyed this video. I put it off for a few days because of work and being mommy, but I’m so glad I did so I could give my full attention to it. I genuinely feel like I just had a lovely conversation with you. I appreciate you being so open and just so you. 😊
Or maybe one day 😂😂 I swear they all blend together
You are such a down to earth person. You always make me smile and I thank you for that. AND YOU ARE A WONDERFUL ARTIST 👌
I really liked just listening to you talk about stuff Chloe 💖
New video !! Watching now xxx
I must be lucky, my highschool art teacher was amazing!! She was always super supportive and motherly.
No one else in the world:
Artists: DO YOU HEAR THE THICKNESS OF THIS PAPER
YESSS, I LOVE THAT
the best thing of youtube is that when you love one artist you feel like following other artists and enjoy more and more art contento from more and more creators, it means they suport each others and help each other to grow just sharing trends
The starry night on backgroud looks awesome !!!!!!!!
Yay!! Love your videos Chloe! Also your hair looks amazing!
I CANT WAIT TO WATCH THIS!!!
The one thing I loved about quarantine
Getting to find and support youtubers who may be small youtubers or big, but just supporting them is what I really liked. I found many channels likes Chloe’s in quarantine.
I've noticed isolation really messed with my sleep! Thank you for doing your best to be creative in spite of it all
Chloe is so kind, smart, and wise
I actually like your hair, also it's totally refreshing that you didn't just try to fake it. Thank you for being honest about your exhaustion because we're all feeling it.
Paint what you love in the way you love. I enjoyed your Q&A session very much.
I hope you are okay with your sleep Chloe - I hate not being able to sleep and definitely get what you are saying about wanting to upload a more relaxed style of video. You still manage to make your videos fun and entertaining despite not feeling your best... P.s. you did an amazing job on the fringe! 💜
I love these kind of videos, hope you’re looking after yourself xx
I liked the video as soon as Chloe said she was done with the world rn, Chloe you're a mood XD
Chloe, I love the Splash Mountain poster in the background! It was the best ride at Disney and will remain the best ride even though they're removing it.
So true that you don’t see the struggle behind the work. I think we are all on a journey, we’re all taking different paths and moving at different speeds. It’s the journey that counts.
Thank you for sharing! You inspire me all the time! I've decided this year to actually fill an entire sketch book! I draw in it almost every day!!
Thank you for your video despite your tiredness. I enjoyed your relaxed approach and answers to the questions. Take care of yourself.
Chloe, I'm going through the same thing with sleep at the mo. I'm not sleeping at night and then accidentally sleeping through the day instead.
me too!!! well i have for a couple months but these past few weeks it’s become even worse!!
I'm basically nocturnal at this point!
Your outfit looks amazing against your painting. Your bangs suit you really well. I'm guilty of staring at your painting, it is so beautiful and detailed. I'm so proud of you and how far you have come. Your humor is just perfect.
Chloe: Is there a ghost?
Me: Ah, a ghost. I suppose that explains the insomnia.
the bangs are adorable 🥺
Ooooh I think someone thought your brother was your husband 🤣🤣
Chloe going back unboxing lollllllll she never was one but she is so amazing I love u so much
I’ve heard other creators comment that their video persona is just a bigger version of themselves.
