They're called the Twin Captains by locals. I know this as I lived in the area for nearly 50 years. There's a place near the Captains where the deep ruts of covered wagon wheels on the Oregon Trail can still be seen.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for Mother Nature; Gaia’s rich diversity of species and the interconnected interdependent environs that sustain all life, especially wildlife of the PNW deserts are especially vulnerable now when the Holocene Epoch is rapidly succumbing to the emergent Anthropocene. Look forward to your videos.
@@PPGMatt Thanks! Yes, we filmed everything outdoors and sometimes it was tough to get good audio. The series has some rough spots, but hopefully the messages are worth it.
@@nwimagepro Absolutely! Might I suggest an external mic such as DJI mic with wind protection , seems to be the go to for most creators. Look forward to your future content definitely subscribing, I love educational content like this.
Another area where you could get some impressive videos is the Grand Coulee of Washington State. Of particular worth would be Dry Falls ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_Falls ). Another excellent target is The Ginko Petrified Forest near Vantage!
Thanks for the comments. If you watch the series, you will see we do touch on these areas. There's an episode that is focused on the Vantage area and in the episode on Soap Lake and Moses Coulee Area we filmed Dry Falls.
Very well done. I look forward to visiting this lovely area. I will be watching for more episodes of the series! Thanks so much.
Thank you for your kind comments and for taking the time to watch this series! You are very welcome!
Your partnership of excellent photography with enthusiastic explanations and descriptions make me want to watch them all.
Thank you and so glad to hear!
I can't wait to learn more!
Glad to hear!
I really enjoy your desert series. It's educational and entertaining. Thank you. I hope to see more.
@@daryljacobson7462 We really appreciate your comments, thanks so much! I would love to do some more filming.

Great video! The audio quality in the opening could definitely be better, sounds a bit muffled.

@nwimagepro Excellent! I'll look for those, but it'll be awhile. Thank you!
