Liebe is Astaroth’s true body but rewinded to a child and left without magic after being thrown through the seal. Astaroth is probably just a soul wandering around trying to find a way to get himself a body of an angel or reunite with his former body with a new heart so he can finally settle his fight with Lucifero and Beezlebub. But it’d be half powered Lucifero. I hope this theory gets seen🤞

I think sister lily is working with Lucius. The fact that one of the early episodes show yuno going back to village and she gets “kidnapped” remember Julius was their just to make sure everything was okay. But it’s funny how she gets taken off camera. But was able to one shot the main bad guy after they save her. I think she’s related to the zogratis siblings she has blue eyes just like them.
Whoa just imagine Asta barely beating lucius, sister lily running towards him only to stab him and give a zogratis grin...

Also in yuno’s backstory, there was a little kid in the spade kingdom that kinda looked like sister lily, and then a couple of years later she was coincidentally sent to the same church that yuno and asta were dropped off at, Lucius probably told her to keep an eye on them until asta was able to get his anti magic grimoire which would be the main part in defeating lucifero and obtaining his heart, sister lily was the only one that kept trying to cheer up asta and was reassuring him that he would get a grimoire
which means asta will never get a chance at marrying Sister Lily.......and so the plot thickens!!!!

Hmm, if you guys believe in this theory of lucius being every other wizard king until the present day due to soul possession, then feasibly that gives me the notion that the transformation magic used by lucius/julius could be one of the magics of every wizard king prior to the present day, thus meaning he could have MANY more magic types. It may explain the four kingdoms grimoire lucius has because every magic from every prior wizard king is imbued in it.
here is one more theory ----
asta may be his son and maybe time magic also wont work on him.....So this may explain how ASTA may defeate him in future orrrr BEELZEBUB may form a contract with asta.....AS we know Beelzebub maybe not that evil as HE helped ZENON by giving him devil's heart but that was not the part of the contract......So Beelzebub is the only other devil king left who may have ability to resist time magic for now.......ORRR LUCIFERO may also be alive (as his other 50% was in hell.......) AND TBH final villian may be not the ASTAROTH but Beelzebub AND maybenot

When Julius said he was storing mama in an artifact he discovered and only stored enough mana in there to revive as a child was all a lie
He actually has been storing mana in there since it was lost and was able to fully revive. However his memory was manipulated to think otherwise as juius.
Then it means he doesn't exist untill now coz he was storing maana for later things to do thats why no one was able to locate him

I hope he does. There's no real reason to care about any "tEnSioN" this series gives due to how badly the villains have been treated. So having the heroes take a real, gargantuan and irreversible L would be a nice change.

Now I'm speculating that Lucius was the one who manipulated time so that Asta and Yuno would be at the church at the same time since I can't recall if that was ever touched upon again.

My only “concern” is how do we think astaroth was able to hide himself from Lucifero. If we remember correctly. When Dante first met asta. He asked Lucifero who is the devil with asta (liebe). And if I remember correctly, Lucifero answered by saying there was no high ranking devil on this world. So how did astaroth hide from them this long.
Probably Astaroth time traveling itself to searching devil host in the beginning, Astaroth still in the underworld right now but in the Lucius is future Astaroth 🤷
It is possible that since lucius was an undercover identity. Lucifero couldnt pick it up. Julius didnt know he was lucius so its safe to assume the devil was even more dorment than lucius while everyone else had a personal connection with their devils already. And possibly he waited til after that event to do any time power or just reset it until they didnt know. Idk just a theory

It's the main reason for hiding behind Julius. Julius served as a barrier to detection.
MAYBE lucious hasn’t been fully manifested up until now. Maybe it was Julias himself who was the one manipulating time and lucious was controlling him in the background causing lucifero not to pick up the presence of a high ranking devil.
Maybe lucious hasn’t used nearly the amount of devil power he actually has because his Host is very capable and is capable of executing his plan without the help of his devil powers and at the same time it would keep him under the radar of lucifero

The time travel theory feels like all those creepy conspiracy theories about cartoons growing. They were disturbing and made me rethink how I saw the shows. I am glad to see that Black Clover could blow that all away.

after reading the comments i'm almost 100% sure that sister lily has something to do with all of this. its strange enough that in yuno's backstory their was a kid that looked like sister lily but in multiple covers sister lily was with asta and the elves. its like tabate wants use to know that somethings is goin on here.maybe she is a devil or someone related to lucius that was send by lucius to watch over asta until he got his grimoire. she was the only one telling asta that he was going to get a grimoire. or maybe she was send by yuno's mom to take care of yuno. sister lily resembles yuno's mom a lot that doesn't necessarily mean something because she also resembles the zogratis siblings. but their was a kid that resembles sister lily in yuno's backstory. to become a nun you need a period of training and we know that she joined a few years after asta and yuno where in the church. that alone is kinda suspicious since they where a poor church with 0 workers in the middle of nowhere but she started working after training in that specific church. also julius had no business being their when sister lily was being kidnapped. at the moment we thought he was just playing but now we know that everything he did had a reason.

This makes a lot of sense to me, one of the reasons why I wasn't on board with the whole Julius being the oldest Zogratis sibling prior was because when you looked at them all, he seemed to be younger than Dante and in flashbacks he looked like he was a lot older than Dante, Vanica and Zenon to a point where Father Orsi could have been the older sibling (maybe a bit extreme really but still) if he has been time travelling, he would probably look younger than he is.

(although it only effects mana in his case) so I've always felt it could be a Time based ability aswell

In the last chapter,Damnation Kira confirmed that there is only one person known to have magic known as time in Clover Kingdom...Julius thus the previous wizard kings had different magic...for this theory to make sense I think that Lucius Zogratis has soul magic and every time he alters his soul ,it's different enough that he gets a new body and grimoire with different magic (kinda like Mahito from jjk) .But he altered Julius so slightly from himself that he still retained time magic (that's why they're practically identical)but enough to be a different soul. I don't really think the theory of him being every wizard king is true tho but this is how I think it would occur if it were.
That could also be why the dark triad also kept on saying that they was going to get serious maybe because time kept rewinding till that point lol

I have a theory. So as we know the main magic type of the space kingdom has to do with the body as we’ve seen in the manga, with vanica having blood, zenon having bone, Dante having body, and the deciples with Vanica having nail, eye, skin, hair, and other i don’t remember, but what if Lucius is mind because that hasn’t been taken and with his and the time devils magic he had changed the memories of those who are with him into thinking that Lucius has always been Julius. Also that would work with Julius as well because he could see the future with his time magic but only for a glimpse but what if that was just Lucius magic at play working with the time devil to see the future events kind of like how nighteye uses his quirk in mha. Also Julius in his fight with patri/licht he says that he stores time from his opponents and uses it for himself, that is said whenever he takes that first hit and heals up. So basically what I’m trying to say is what if Julius doesn’t exist but it is just Lucius mind magic in play. Also this can also be the case because when we first see Lucius he has a magic circle kind of like how Zora does his so maybe he wrote a spell that changes the way he looks along with his grimoire. That would also go along with this theory.

awhile back on another channel they also showed asta was sent forward in time when his mom dropped him off at the orphanage he was alone and in the panel she does that the orphanage looks new and there is no dead ancient demon seen behind her. but when the father opens the door the orphanage is run down looking the ancient demon can be seen and yuno is beside him.
My god, Tabata has set up this story so incredibly well. Lucius and Astaroth are perfect final villians. I just hope that Julius' soul is still around and that he can live in the end.

I have a feeling that we might see who asta's father is when we get to the final arc. We saw that yuno's dad was dead but his mother is still alive and we've seen that asta's mother died but nothing about his father, if he even has a father to begin with

Maybe Lucifero tried to kill Astaroth, and believed he succeeded and as such doesn’t think that he exists anymore. Therefore Astarotte faked his death and is now in the real world as a result of the battle
Also it could be Lucifero succeeding in beating Astaroth and when Astaroth was dying Lucious contacted him. If Astaroth hadn't accepted he would have died. But Astaroth not being evil meant that he wouldn't have wanted to fulfill Lucious' goals. But with soul magic his presence was hidden. The point behind Lucious obtaining Lucifero's heart is either A. To put Lucifero's heart in Astaroth so he'll stop resisting or B. To put it in himself to fully make Astaroth submit to his will.
Basically lucious has been plucking the dark triad and placing them in different points of time manipulating them for his own goals

I believe that Ashtaroth only manipulated time when asta was out of devil union mode because he would have nullified the time effects due to him been embodiment of anti-magic so every time he had to rewind time after the mode ended. Also I believe for asta to counter him he will unlock a new ability in the demon annihilator sword. The sword with the aoe anti-magic, will maybe be able to caste anti-magic mana zone. Nice video and I'm so happy that this arc got better I was very concerned about it at the beginning and middle of it but now it's doing great.

Lemiel (first wizard king) was very fond of Secre Swallowtail and she watched over him while In stone, wouldn't she have see these future wizards kings threw the centuries and noticed them being the same ? Also lemiel had children that became the house of Vermillion and Silva but how far the family's grew could determine how the long the tru time line is from the fight with lemiel and licht ?. I'm just guess but I think the family tree will revels more about the time skips or durations.

The zogratis siblings being from generations ago makes sense. If you think about the magic types they have it seems pretty basic and hasn't been mixed with any other types. Yes there are hints that the royals may be inbreeding in black clover but it doesnt seem likely commoners are as well. There is also no indication the zogratis are from any royal bloodline. Noelles family for instance have a mix steel magic from acier and we would assume water magic from her dad. Speaking of where tf is noelles dad?! Lol.

I believe there was a war and astaroth lost. He needed Lucifero heart to regain his full strength. Remember gravity bends space and time so straight up 100%. Lucifero is stronger. I still believe liebe and astaroth are connected somehow. Maybe they split into two separate beings after astaroth left hell.

And Astaroth's actual personality is different but he is being manipulate by Lucius as when Adremelice was giving the heart he called out Lucius not Astaroth . may the personality of wizard King and Astaroth are same but Lucis somehow have servant master relationship with Astaroth.
Also the 3rd sword of asta makes it so that magic is not never casted meaning there is some link with reversing the time for given Mana. Hence Stablising the connection between lebei and Astaroth.
In the elf arch Goosh also makes the statement that 'the power to make it so that something never happend before must cost some thing in return '

so everytime our heros said "i'll surpass my limit" it was a time reversal moment ? this would give them a deeper despair moment once they fight lucius (if they figure it out and if its true)
To be fair, regarding the resemblence between Astaroth and Lucifero's runes, gravity bends space AND TIME. They're probably intimately connected as natural forces in this universe.
I really think Lucien tricked Astaroth into servitude.
I think that the gravity magic having a similar art style could be explained if Tabata is aware of the real life interrelated nature between time and gravity. Gravity is a product of the mass an object has and objects with a lot of mass like planets or stars noticeably warp the fabric of reality that is spacetime. As a result, areas with higher levels of mass experience time at a slower rate than those outside the mass’s effective range. At least thats how it would appear from the outside perspective. This can be seen with how gps satellites in orbit have to adjust their internal clocks when transmitting information; they are farther from the influence of the ball of mass warping spacetime(Earth) than we creatures cruising on the surface are thus making our experience of time slower by just enough to necessitate the clock adjustment. So this shows that while they may not be as interrelated in the manga, there is real world precedent for the two being similarly styled.
Tldr: In physics, gravity and time are very closely related concepts. This could explain the similar art style of the two magics.
I don't think that Lucius was all the previous wizard kings. Because if that was the case they all would've had time magic. In chapter 331 Damnatio said there has only been one time magic user is the history of the word.

I fell like Lucifer should have been able figure out astaroth involvement cuz they are two of three Kings hell they should atleast have knowledge of each other abilities (that's kinda dumb of him especially him planning the whole spade kingdom saga)
Well he did, in one of the panels he actually noticed the clock and was looking at it, yami is probably a back up plan for lucifero probably cuz he noticed
It's possible he could have messed with time in the underworld so everyone forgets his existence which could explain why lucifero only assumed zagred escaped the underworld as a high ranking demon.
For one Lucifero was half manifested while Astaroth is presumably fully manifested in the real world. Lastly someone pointed out that Lucifero's third eye-socket may have been empty since it was missing a pupil. Perhaps that third eye was his clairvoyant eye/had enchanced perception therefore, he could not fully see the manipulation behind scenes since his third eye was empty/missing due to
being half manifested. Just a thought.

Good prediction. However theres a problem with it cause astas anti magic zone would render all magic around him useless. Basically lucius can affect time for everyone but asta when he is in his devil union form....
I thought about this as well but it was shown that if you can output more magic than he can erase essentially your can still somewhat effect but not by much and since time magic messes with a literal concept of reality it makes sense how Lucius could still effect Asta dispite having an anti magic zone
i doubt it matters cause maybe Lucius using rewind and forward when Asta not using Anti-Magic Zone. Even Asta is in Demon Union mode, he will still be affected by it because its not directly mark him rather its an AOE attack. Just my opinion.
Nope Asta is not immune to magic but, resilient to it. Think of Asta’s Anti magic like a sponge that can suck up water. If the water is far to great the sponge will be limited to what it can absorb. In Asta’s case the amount of magic that he can nullify.

Ok maybe before asta had devil union, lucius could affect him whatever which way. However when he is in perfect devil union I believe it did have a affect on time magic somewhat cause he is creating a magic nullifying zone, like he did with gravity magic not effecting him with Lucifer another supreme devil.
