If you think about it Julius, even if possessed, makes a perfect final villain of the series. He’s been there since the beginning, and being the wizard king means Asta overcoming him will prove he’s on that level.
When Julius foretold "Asta will die." He did not mention the "Because I'm going to kill him" part of his foretelling. He put it all in plain sight yet nobody saw it coming. 💀

I think Julius is the Devil itself Astaroth, and actually Astaroth is a good Devil who controls the gates of the underworld, that’s why he was able to go to the human world easily, since Lucius have Soul Magic, Astaroth requested Lucius a human Body in exchange for Astaroth power, Astaroth wanted to be a human in exchange for Lucius to control him, that’s why he was happy to go through world and be a knight to Wizard king and to birth ASTA in the Journey as a Human, but I feel like once Julius realizes he is a Devil Astaroth, Lucius take control immediately due to their Devil contract, but I feel like every time Julius a sleep, Lucius take over the body at night since Chapter 1, and I think when Asta’s Mom and Julius making out, Julius find out he is a Devil and then Lucius erased his memory and Asta’s Mom, that’s why Julius never recognize ASTA, but at the same time Julius protected ASTA from Lucius, he’s been doing so all this time, even when they were fighting the Devils in Spade Kingdom, Julius protecting them out of kindness but at the same time, Lucius controlling Julius from the back to make sure his plan and prediction are right, After all Julius is Lucius’s Devil, Astaroth is a kind devil which is Julius, In reality Lucius is the Evil one, & Astaroth is the Good one
What if the thing with "can't say Megicula's name" was in fact "can't say qliphoth devil #3's name"? Everyone thought it was Megicula, but at the moment Damnatio said the true name, the curse activated and ended up freeing Astaroth.
Do you guys think this means that Yami’s backstory was a result of Lucius’s time meddling too- pretty convenient a guy just randomly shows up with one of the exact abilities needed for his plan.
Guys remember that one time yuno first found sylph all the way back in the dungeon arc? Time stopped in for everyone but yuno and sylph. I doubt sylph can do that, and it never happened again. Only when Asta and Yuno were about to die time stopped. So if lucius was rewinding time all along, then its very possible that he stopped time to save them.
Could be or it could be one of those natural things when a person fights and it seems like time is slowing down. Also, Yuno has used wind magic to give after images, to make him faster.
@@ahmaddeham_ - Actually it was slowed down. Yuno was in a state where it seems like time slowed down. The diamond blade was still heading toward Asta, but very slow. Yuno saw the spirit moving and doing stuff. He wanted to save Asta. The wind spirit was moving and blew the diamond sword away.
I was mad that Julius didn’t die in the elf arc, but now it’s gone from a 8/10 to a 9/10 and I guess it explains why the characters never died even though being on deaths door.
This explains why Julius didn't die in the Elf Reincarnation arc. Tabata really dropped such a mindboggling chapter and then dipped😭. He deserves this break and we should never again doubt him

Are we gonna ignore the fact that Asta's name literally comes from 'Asta'roth the time devil's name? Just like Julius was the only person who had time magic, a magic associated with one of the rulers of the underworld, it might have been in our face all this time.
What if astaroth was defeated and his heart was taken and Lucius had taken the magic using it and might do the same to lucifero but before astaroth died maybe there was some kind of ritual for his soul to become asta and liebe

This chapter was AMAZINGLY GOOD. Sure we all predicted Julius’ connection with Astaroth but it’s implementation was 🧑🏽🍳💋 the way Astaroth could have intentionally messed with time would explain a lot of the mishaps of the past chapters. Like bad marvel movies being retconned into the MCU. Though I don’t like how Yunos mom is just… alive?.. but I’m excited to see where his 3 months inspires him to go with the series. WE HAVE TO SUPPORT THE MOVIE ONCE IT COMES OUT
Could you explain to me how he would have to manipulate time to fix a lot of the issues, because for me the clock moving backwards but the characters not moving backwards doesn't make sense. And even if you can rewind someone they would just do the same actions as before, if they don't realize they have been rewinded. My only explanation is that he is just rewinding character states, basically healing them. But then why would the clock be going backwards or freezing if he is rewinding character states and not the world which is the only way the clock would be affected too. Because the time on the clock isn't a clock's state but its location the only logical explanation would be him rewinding the world time, but with characters not rewinding along side the world it just doesn't make sense and I don't know how to make it make sense.
@@Pohatarunic6 Lucius just affects the area he wants to, and most likely only affects the states but i think the clock tower is shown like this just to foreshadow lucius' presence and/or proof of concept that tabata wanted to do it from the start and hasnt just made this up to fix the "poor quality" of the previous chapters.

Another thing; when Julius said Asta "will die", maybe it was true, as in he meant that Asta "was SUPPOSED" to die from what he saw if Lusius didn't actually interveane to let him live manipulating time accordingly to make everything go in Asta's favor... As in so Lusius achieves his own goals cleanly without anyone realizing. Man, it really changes a lot of things about Julius's older dialogues and the context behind them if he was devil possessed the whole time. This was quite the exciting twist, I'm really looking forward to see what Tabata does after his break :)
Have you ever thought that maybe Asta has already died, the kingdom had fallen, and the kingdom fallen and Asta died; except time was rewound to make sure that Lucifero met his fate instead? Time can be stopped and rewound.

Let's all be honest, we all suspect Julius Novachrono since the beginning as a possible traitor. But we were in a denial, cuz how can he be a traitor when he 'died' during his fight with Patri. But our suspicions came back when it was revealed that Time Devil actually exist, which we immediately associated with Julius' Time Magic. We suspect that he's a traitor, but we didn't expect it to be true

Lucius pulled a “Light” and erased his memories. That’s why Julius came into the world not knowing his purpose etc like he stated in the elf arc. Then when Julius found out that he was the host for Astaroth it activated something and Lucius was turned back, that was the plan of Lucius thus why Astaroth said it all turned out like he said it would. Lucius may have implanted some memories to help Julius reach his goal. That’s also why Julius was telling the justice man to do something because he knew what would happen. tl;dr Lucius erased his own memories, Julius was made, Julius sub consciously does Lucius’ orders and then when he realizes the truth behind his identity it’s too late and Lucius converts back to the body. edit: the memories that were implanted were there to help Julius find the dark and world tree magic users

As a part of a deal julius got his grimoire and time magic and Astaroth became human and named Asta too before rewinding time. Lichita saved him, although he brainwashed her. His army of brainwashed magic knights and devil union slaughtered by lucifero and demons including prince Yuno and Asta. Asta revert to Astaroth offer him second chance but with drawback.

Hm, Julius himself didn't really know about Astaroth and Lucius. He even wanted Damnatio to probably kill him before Lucius emerged. So I wouldn't read that into it. It's more likely that he simply knew that the four great elemental spirits choose someone new once after their old master has passed away. Seems like poor Julius was but an artifical creation.
I really hope they show everyone dying, and then time being rewound over, and over again. I think it would be nice to see how many times, time was manipulated.

@@cole_world5739 its not entirely head canon the manga kinda supports this with the clock tower theory which I'll provide a tldr: basically there were 4-5 panels of a certain clock tower but it always showed the same time at around 630 I believe then the last chapter had the clock finally move just before revealing the time devil host

This is so cool! Asta, with his overpowered anti magic and body, was made by Astaroth as a pawn to take down Lucifero. This makes even more sence if its confirmed that Astaroth is Astas (and/or Liebes) father, as this would mean that anti magic was an idea, and power created for the malevolent ideas of Astaroth. Would love to see in the final arc Astaroth making Asta understand that everything hes done was his work all along, and he and his friends were just manipulated by Astaroth. Would be even better if Astaroth was his father because that woupd add to the misery hes already feeling. Super hyped for the next arc!

This is most likely a situation like in Death Note when Light erases his memories and stops being Kira. Lucius erased his memories and became Julius then eventully got his memories back and became Lucius again just like when Light recovered his memories and became Kira again.

Tabata probably showed us the clock had rewinded to give us a sense that someone was messing with time for all the smart people who could catch it. He probably did that in order to reveal this last chapter
A whole arc where the baddest/stronger/the king of devils himself from hell was revived to earth and nobody died. Yes truly this arc has redeemed itself😂
So maybe Julius or 4th Zogratis sibling kept rewinding time until a timeline where no one died. So it will make it so much more painful for characters who thought they were strong and could protect anyone when so many people died in front of them.

I just reread the manga after that bombshell, and OMFG in freaking chapter 10 when we first see Julius he's not only in his old lady form (disguised as someone else) and winning at gambling (like the gamble on Asta being able to defeat Lucifero), he's straight up saying that he always wins because he can see the future. Like, Tabata-sensei full on foreshadowed the outcome of the entire manga up to this point 321 chapters ago. I can't even 🤣

I've been having suspicious on Julius ever since the three rulers of hell have been revealed but I was so in denial and ignore that thought because Julius Novachrono is my Favorite Character in black clover and seeing this reveal actually left me heartbroken
Don't worry, technically Julius isn't bad, from his reactions this chapter and from his monologues and stories with other characters in the past. Whether he's another persona/identity created by Lucius (as if it was a Multiple Personality Disorder case), or his mind or body have been manipulated, Julius is genuinely good. I also was in denial of all these theories, because even if they made sense, that would've killed Julius character (writing wise), but Tabata did it in such a good way that the story doesn't commit that mistake but complies to the theories, aaaaand... he's also my favorite and I still can't get over it, I'm genuinely sad lol.
I like how with this chapter how the author basically told the whole community that this arc wasn't even high stakes and that shows especially after reading about the true devil rulers
If Zenon comes back into the story because the 4th sibling brings them back to life, I swear he better have the memories of the fight with yuno. So much potential for Zenon betraying his siblings after encountering a Yuno who didn’t make the decision to kill his friend. Story writing potential from here is so high
Check this theory out about the final arc. So I think Lucius Zogratis’ plan all along was to become the Demon God/King by assimilating all devil hearts of Lucifero and Beelzebub into him as he possesses Astaroth’s . Do remember Beelzebub is still alive in the underworld. He couldn’t do it before because all 3 rulers of hell are evenly matched. Now that he has Lucifero’s heart he will be more powerful enough to take Beelzebub’s heart. This will make him have all three magic types Time, Space and Gravity magic to form Reality-Warping magic. Being now the Demon God/King and having Reality-Warping magic he can use this power to recreate humanity with undying bodies. What do y’all think? The original Demon God/King posses this ability but “something” happened and his powers were born into three.
Honestly this arc has had some very rough times involving the plot but I think this new chapter fixed most of the plotholes and really explains why the arc has been so messy recently but the only thing I can’t seem to under stand is when they eventually go to battle the time devil the problem will be that I don’t really think they could necessarily beat him since he can re write time unless Julius magically bends the devil to his will but I’m really exited to see how everything turns out

What if when Julius said asta was going to die he doesn’t and someone sacrifices themself to protect him, thus changing time and giving asta an upper hand to not only destroy him but to also avenge whoever died. Maybe yuno??, yami??, nacht??

Personally,I think that time magic has a lot more versatility than what was shown earlier in the manga with Julius. If Lucius can control time it would make sense if he could rewind a person’s knowledge on a certain matter like what he did to damnatio
The only thing that makes sense now Astaroth has to be Asta’s father. That explains why Asta is so powerful and grows more horns during his transformation, making Asta a half devil. Lucius has to be planning another powerful ritual that requires Lucifers heart.

What seemed rather suspicious too was to give give Asta and Yuno that dungeon exploration, even though he said later that was rookie level compared to the water temple, you don´t send newbies to gather potential national treasures, look at the Diamond Kingdom they sent the equivalent of a Magic Knight captain and one of their best tacticians.

What about Marx? He is Julius's attendant. He possessed Memory Magic as well, or is it really Memory Magic? It is connected to the brain after all. It could be Brain Magic, related to the Zogratis' siblings' Body Magics: Blood Magic of Vanica , Bone Magic of Zenon, and Body Magic of Dante. Maybe Lucius asked Marx to erase Lucius' memories to create the Julius persona who loves unique magic to find the World Tree Magic and Dark Magic? with the condition of when Julius ever heard the magical password, which is the name "Astaroth", the spell would be lifted making him remember his true identity.

Julius is a minded wiped Astaroth who is sealed inside Lucius's body. Lucius has mind magic and was able to wipe the supreme devil's mind and binded his powers to not make it obvious. Afterward, he let his body be controlled by Julius and nudged Julius to Yami & Vengance. The second Julius realized he's a Devil Lucis would pop out to rewipe Julius's mind.

It’s too far fetched, if he was rewriting time every time they died he would be unkillable bc every outcome or fight could be won or turned in his favor. Everyone’s just forgetting how time magic works in this series. Kinda weird What i think is more likely is that he can only do it once and has to stockpill time for an unknown amount of time, sorta similar to how Chrono Anastasis uses up all of his time.

Unexpected but it makes sense, especially with Yuno recently being asked to take his birthright as King of Clover. Yuno is intelligent and strong enough to leave and become King. The animes sorta proven him indirectly, even though he still has huge potential to grow stronger. ASTA on the other hand will reach that level of maturity and preparedness by surpassing Julius it seems, which will put him in position to become Wizard King, after, ya know, Yami Sempai (Naruto ref, it'll probably be Fuegoleon like mentioned)

@@aruniljain3169 unless now, given the revelation, the so called “plot armour” surrounding the characters will now start to dissolve and some may die. Lucius had to ensure that all or most of the battles ended in clover kingdoms favour, so the main cast of characters had to survive so his plan could work but now it seems likely that he has gotten what he needed and would be ok to kill off people.
Julius has to be the final villain, his original magic was TRANSFORMATION MAGIC not TIME MAGIC. He could change into an OLD LADY. Not only that remember that when asta first showed his grimoire the wizard king KNEW IT WAS ANTI MAGIC. He has to be the villain.
Let’s not forget he somehow knew to store time for himself in case he “died”. He most likely could’ve defeated the elves with ease (Remember this was the same elf Asta and Yami were folding up). He SPECIFICALLY like YAMI and WILLIAM. He’s into strange magic (usually ones that can rival/harm devils). He somehow KNEW where the eye of the midnight suns base was when he showed Asta his power BUT DIDN’T FOLD ALL THEM UP ON SIGHT AND STOP THEIR PLANS!!!! Dudes been pulling the strings from the beginning….

So I agree with something that the guys from Yunami said about the spade kingdom arc, which is that a lot of people treat Lucifer as the main villain and are disappointed cause he's so weak and just repeats the same lines while getting trashed. This is actually pretty accurate with Lucifer from mythology and probably Lucifer is not the final boss but he's being manipulated and was set-up to lose to Asta from the beginning. If Tabata plays this right everything will come together in the coming chapters and all the weird writing choices will make sense
Lucifer isn't weak nor does he repeat himself in mythology. Lucifer is the ultimate big bad, a capable leader that turned 1/3rd of the heavenly host against God. In one telling it was God that depowered him for Micheal to win and in the other telling Jesus who is God himself steps in to stop Lucifer. Unless you believe God is the big bad then my bad lol.
I dont know if anyone will read this but i have a theory, Marx is also a high ranking devil. I mean, it is kinda sus that Astaroth was not brought up until now, and many of them are knew that Megicula was one of the big three. One of my theories is that Asta was conceived by immaculate conception by Astaroth. Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense as to how Licita could naturally copulate and bear a child without killing the father and child in the process. It would make sense for Astaroth to plan to use Asta as his vessel. I also think Astaroth sped up/paused Licitas pregnancy or altered the timeline of her pregnancy in some way. He’s always complaining about being short and not growing. Although his grimoire is 500 years old and so are lichts rusty swords, when he adds yamis brand new katana to his grimoire it ended up being aged significantly which was weird. Also when Dante asks lucifero if he recognises liebe he doesn’t remember who he is. It seems like either he has poor memory or a verrrrry long time had passed. As we have seen with Lucifero it is possible for a demon to be contracted with multiple hosts E.g Morris and Dante. Maybe Astaroth left a piece of himself in Asta like a horcrux. I don’t understand Astaroths plan for Asta though. It’s possible that his plan to use him as a vessel went awry after he met liebe with anti magic. It’s also possible that he foresaw Asta meeting liebe and getting stronger and this was part of his plan. I wouldn’t be surprised if he intends to use Asta to rid the entire world of magic except himself.

Here's a theory: Astaroth is being held in a binding ritual with Lucius against his will, while Lucius has been trying to make devil/human hybrids this whole time. Possibly even hybrids in general (think Charmy). He possibly had to leave his own body using his psyche magic (aka mind/consciousness) and used Julius's body as a vessel, who more than likely naturally has transformation magic, which would explain his ability to transform with ease. Someone with both time and transformation magic could easily create many experiments to try and work out several end goals. Now all that is left is to find a way to make ppl have immortal bodies...

I want to point something out from Zenon's flashback: Considering Yuno is roughly 16-17 years old by now, Zenon was a grown up during the Spade coup d'état (when Loyce aka the spade king is killed), and Yuno was still just a baby when he was left in Hage, i do not think that kid Zenon's conversation with Lucius during his flashback would have been 15 years ago. It would only make sense if we assume time magic was also used to age the Zogratis siblings + Allen at least 10-20 years into the future and make them into adults for some reason, but since this is something Saibaman only just mentioned and didnt go deep into, there may be something im still missing.
Really thinking that the Witch Queen might appear any time soon. She also has Future-telling abilities and crow Manipulation and Transfiguration which are both beyond the potential of Blood Magic. Both Julius and her are also facing back in their Character Profile. She was also aware of the Dark Triad events, yet she did not seemed to be that wary, nor she did not gave any help even tho Vanessa probably asked her.

My best one is focus on Asta's father being a powerful wizard and warrior from another country. The country is an ally of the Heart Kingdom and the Clover Kingdom. There have been only five countries mentioned in the series. One of the five is the mysterious The Land of the Rising Sun. A fan video did shown the map of the World of Black Clover. On this map, The Land of the Rising Sun seems to be the only nation on its continent. Yet the country is larger than the Spade Kingdom. The continent is located east of the Main Continent. For Julius, the disclosure of Julius to be Lucius Zogratis the Fourth and older sibling. The next and final arc is going to focus on Lucius Zogratis. If Tabata wants to continue the series, he is going to borrow another ideal from Bleach. Lucius Zogratis being able to escape and disappear into the world of Black Clover. About the future of Black Clover, it is up to Tabata himself.
I feel like you are right about the land of the rising sun but I also think that there is gonna be powerful people there that have a technique of their own to for mana other than ki. Plus I have a theory that there is two souls in that body cause maybe Lucius has soul magic. First of all maybe Lucius perfected his powers like maybe unite and his time magic. Then he went to the clover kingdom and found Julius cause maybe it is a coincidence that he found some who look like him and changed his magic and maybe Lucius turn back time in his memories and make him think he was using time magic the whole time and still use his transformation magic. Finally he may have planned to be immortal cause if he was planning to get lucifero heart it may have some secret to become immortal. So we can maybe see Asta father reveal, rest of the supreme devil and their power, land of the rising sun, noelle confession to Asta, earth spirit, and asta becoming wizard king at the end.

Black clover helped me push through some really tough times and i was really dissappointed and thought that tabata was putting out half hearted work but he just pulled the ultimatest SIKE of all time. I believe Lucius magic is "Soul Magic". For Julius to be able to casually turn into other people, Lucius must have done something within his/Julius soul. So that Julius believed that him transforming had something to do with "Time Magic". Also, there's a saying "The Soul reflects the Body, "The Body is a mirror of the Soul", & "The Soul shapes the Body". If these are true in a sense, then Tabata is truly writing a "Masterpiece". By him using "Soul Magic" in this type of way. It'd make sense to why, everyone that's come into contact with Julius automatically loves or respects him. It's because Lucius has been reading everyone's soul & feeding Julius the info. Making Julius believe he already knows what people want from him because he kinda does without realizing it. It'd also explain why no one questioned Julius loyalty or character especially with him not being from the (Clover) Kingdom. It was told by Damnatio Kira that he researched about the Supreme devils and found out that megicula is not one of the original supreme devils. He said megicula was most likely astaroth's successor, and astaroth disappeared from the underworld many years ago. The main 3 supreme devils were Lucifero with gravity magic, Beelzebub with spatial magic, and Astaroth with Time magic. Domnatio said the only person to have time magic in this world is Julius and by saying that julius was posessed by lucius zogrades who probably made a pact with Astaroth

Sure we all predicted Julius’ connection with Astaroth but it’s implementation was 🧑🏽🍳💋 the way Astaroth could have intentionally messed with time would explain a lot of the mishaps of the past chapters. Like bad marvel movies being retconned into the MCU. Though I don’t like how Yunos mom is just… alive?.. but I’m excited to see where his 3 months inspires him to go with the series. WE HAVE TO SUPPORT THE MOVIE ONCE IT COMES OUT
The Yuno's mom alive theory also been community prediction, the anime show it just Yuno's dad was died.
Could you explain to me how he would have to manipulate time to fix a lot of the issues, because for me the clock moving backwards but the characters not moving backwards doesn't make sense. And even if you can rewind someone they would just do the same actions as before, if they don't realize they have been rewinded.
My only explanation is that he is just rewinding character states, basically healing them. But then why would the clock be going backwards or freezing if he is rewinding character states and not the world which is the only way the clock would be affected too.
Because the time on the clock isn't a clock's state but its location the only logical explanation would be him rewinding the world time, but with characters not rewinding along side the world it just doesn't make sense and I don't know how to make it make sense.

Another thing; when Julius said Asta "will die", maybe it was true, as in he meant that Asta "was SUPPOSED" to die from what he saw if Lusius didn't actually interveane to let him live manipulating time accordingly to make everything go in Asta's favor... As in so Lusius achieves his own goals cleanly without anyone realizing.
Man, it really changes a lot of things about Julius's older dialogues and the context behind them if he was devil possessed the whole time. This was quite the exciting twist, I'm really looking forward to see what Tabata does after his break :)
Have you ever thought that maybe Asta has already died, the kingdom had fallen, and the kingdom fallen and Asta died; except time was rewound to make sure that Lucifero met his fate instead? Time can be stopped and rewound.

Absolutely disagree literally everyone at least majority of the Fanbase went into a frenzy because of this last chapter only a few people suspected it and even then there wasn’t much to go off of

My Theory
Julius was actually Astaroth with rewritten memory and transformed into human by Lucius he himself doesn't even remember he was Astaroth he was devil in human form the whole time he he doesn't even know that, Lucius manipulated his memory and also Julius(Astaroth) that's why Julius main magic was time magic , Astaroth was the host for Julius it also explains that astaroth was good devil but Lucius wanted his power so he manipulated him that why Julius was shocked when he found out only one person and devil used time magic and the devil disappeared from the underworld he was shocked and said he was the the devil(it's me) because he himself doesn't even remember he was the time devil the whole time and at that time he came into the conclusion that he was the time devil or he remembered his past and also I still think astaroth is good devil but Lucius manipulated him to use his power

Lucius pulled a “Light” and erased his memories. That’s why Julius came into the world not knowing his purpose etc like he stated in the elf arc. Then when Julius found out that he was the host for Astaroth it activated something and Lucius was turned back, that was the plan of Lucius thus why Astaroth said it all turned out like he said it would. Lucius may have implanted some memories to help Julius reach his goal. That’s also why Julius was telling the justice man to do something because he knew what would happen.
tl;dr Lucius erased his own memories, Julius was made, Julius sub consciously does Lucius’ orders and then when he realizes the truth behind his identity it’s too late and Lucius converts back to the body.

Julius is the one with time magic. We have seen it and so forth. He is probably not a personality.
Lucius we do not know what magic he does have. We do know that it has to be something linked to his family's power. So, Dev Jones came up with the theory: "Lucius has soul magic." "Blood + bones + body + soul = siblings magic and that's how he was able to create / control Julius. It also goes perfectly with what his future plans are and flows perfectly with the stark triad siblings."
It makes sense that Lucius to have soul magic and is possessing Julius or maybe Julius is actually Astaroth.

His army of brainwashed magic knights and devil union slaughtered by lucifero and demons including prince Yuno and Asta. Asta revert to Astaroth offer him second chance but with drawback.

Hm, Julius himself didn't really know about Astaroth and Lucius. He even wanted Damnatio to probably kill him before Lucius emerged. So I wouldn't read that into it. It's more likely that he simply knew that the four great elemental spirits choose someone new once after their old master has passed away.
Seems like poor Julius was but an artifical creation.
I really hope they show everyone dying, and then time being rewound over, and over again. I think it would be nice to see how many times, time was manipulated.

This makes even more sence if its confirmed that Astaroth is Astas (and/or Liebes) father, as this would mean that anti magic was an idea, and power created for the malevolent ideas of Astaroth. Would love to see in the final arc Astaroth making Asta understand that everything hes done was his work all along, and he and his friends were just manipulated by Astaroth. This is most likely a situation like in Death Note when Light erases his memories and stops being Kira. Lucius erased his memories and became Julius then eventully got his memories back and became Lucius again just like when Light recovered his memories and became Kira again.

Tabata probably showed us the clock had rewinded to give us a sense that someone was messing with time for all the smart people who could catch it. I just reread the manga after that bombshell, and OMFG in freaking chapter 10 when we first see Julius he's not only in his old lady form (disguised as someone else) and winning at gambling (like the gamble on Asta being able to defeat Lucifero), he's straight up saying that he always wins because he can see the future. Like, Tabata-sensei full on foreshadowed the outcome of the entire manga up to this point 321 chapters ago. I can't even 🤣

Don't worry, technically Julius isn't bad, from his reactions this chapter and from his monologues and stories with other characters in the past. Whether he's another persona/identity created by Lucius (as if it was a Multiple Personality Disorder case), or his mind or body have been manipulated, Julius is genuinely good.
I also was in denial of all these theories, because even if they made sense, that would've killed Julius character (writing wise), but Tabata did it in such a good way that the story doesn't commit that mistake but complies to the theories, aaaaand... he's also my favorite and I still can't get over it, I'm genuinely sad lol.

If Zenon comes back into the story because the 4th sibling brings them back to life, I swear he better have the memories of the fight with yuno. So I think Lucius Zogratis’ plan all along was to become the Demon God/King by assimilating all devil hearts of Lucifero and Beelzebub into him as he possesses Astaroth’s . Do remember Beelzebub is still alive in the underworld.
He couldn’t do it before because all 3 rulers of hell are evenly matched. Now that he has Lucifero’s heart he will be more powerful enough to take Beelzebub’s heart. This will make him have all three magic types Time, Space and Gravity magic to form Reality-Warping magic.
Being now the Demon God/King and having Reality-Warping magic he can use this power to recreate humanity with undying bodies.
What do y’all think?

Honestly this arc has had some very rough times involving the plot but I think this new chapter fixed most of the plotholes and really explains why the arc has been so messy recently but the only thing I can’t seem to under stand is when they eventually go to battle the time devil the problem will be that I don’t really think they could necessarily beat him since he can re write time unless Julius magically bends the devil to his will but I’m really exited to see how everything turns out
I don’t think Julius will “control” the devil but somehow come back to his usual self for a moment for them to take him down🤷🏽♂️

Personally,I think that time magic has a lot more versatility than what was shown earlier in the manga with Julius. If Lucius can control time it would make sense if he could rewind a person’s knowledge on a certain matter like what he did to damnatio
The only thing that makes sense now Astaroth has to be Asta’s father. That explains why Asta is so powerful and grows more horns during his transformation, making Asta a half devil. Lucius has to be planning another powerful ritual that requires Lucifers heart.

Maybe Lucius asked Marx to erase Lucius' memories to create the Julius persona who loves unique magic to find the World Tree Magic and Dark Magic? with the condition of when Julius ever heard the magical password, which is the name "Astaroth", the spell would be lifted making him remember his true identity.

Julius is a minded wiped Astaroth who is sealed inside Lucius's body. Lucius has mind magic and was able to wipe the supreme devil's mind and binded his powers to not make it obvious. Afterward, he let his body be controlled by Julius and nudged Julius to Yami & Vengance. The second Julius realized he's a Devil Lucis would pop out to rewipe Julius's mind.

Unexpected but it makes sense, especially with Yuno recently being asked to take his birthright as King of Clover. Yuno is intelligent and strong enough to leave and become King. The animes sorta proven him indirectly, even though he still has huge potential to grow stronger. ASTA on the other hand will reach that level of maturity and preparedness by surpassing Julius it seems, which will put him in position to become Wizard King, after, ya know, Yami Sempai (Naruto ref, it'll probably be Fuegoleon like mentioned)

Lucius had to ensure that all or most of the battles ended in clover kingdoms favour, so the main cast of characters had to survive so his plan could work but now it seems likely that he has gotten what he needed and would be ok to kill off people.

Let’s not forget he somehow knew to store time for himself in case he “died”. He most likely could’ve defeated the elves with ease (Remember this was the same elf Asta and Yami were folding up). He SPECIFICALLY like YAMI and WILLIAM. He’s into strange magic (usually ones that can rival/harm devils). So I agree with something that the guys from Yunami said about the spade kingdom arc, which is that a lot of people treat Lucifer as the main villain and are disappointed cause he's so weak and just repeats the same lines while getting trashed. This is actually pretty accurate with Lucifer from mythology and probably Lucifer is not the final boss but he's being manipulated and was set-up to lose to Asta from the beginning. If Tabata plays this right everything will come together in the coming chapters and all the weird writing choices will make sense
Lucifer isn't weak nor does he repeat himself in mythology. Lucifer is the ultimate big bad, a capable leader that turned 1/3rd of the heavenly host against God. In one telling it was God that depowered him for Micheal to win and in the other telling Jesus who is God himself steps in to stop Lucifer. Unless you believe God is the big bad then my bad lol.
I dont know if anyone will read this but i have a theory, Marx is also a high ranking devil. I mean, it is kinda sus that Astaroth was not brought up until now, and many of them are knew that Megicula was one of the big three. So i think that Marx/ or the devil within Marx might have manipulated all the memories about astaroth in the underworld, but left them with the information about tree of qliphoth. Or, maybe it was Marx all along controlling everything even Astaroth.
I hope Lucifero is still alive and comes back at 100% as someone vividly pissed at the devils that betrayed him. I would assume a 100% Lucifero is capable of nullifying time magic through his sheer power

I think it will be like how Reiner got confused btw his implanted life that he made in paradise island with his actual life. ,only difference is that he got so paranoid living two life’s simultaneously that he end up revealing his identity of being armoured titan to eren and others. One of my theories is that Asta was conceived by immaculate conception by Astaroth. Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense as to how Licita could naturally copulate and bear a child without killing the father and child in the process. It would make sense for Astaroth to plan to use Asta as his vessel. I also think Astaroth sped up/paused Licitas pregnancy or altered the timeline of her pregnancy in some way. He’s always complaining about being short and not growing. Although his grimoire is 500 years old and so are lichts rusty swords, when he adds yamis brand new katana to his grimoire it ended up being aged significantly which was weird. Also when Dante asks lucifero if he recognises liebe he doesn’t remember who he is. It seems like either he has poor memory or a verrrrry long time had passed.
As we have seen with Lucifero it is possible for a demon to be contracted with multiple hosts E.g Morris and Dante. Maybe Astaroth left a piece of himself in Asta like a horcrux. I don’t understand Astaroths plan for Asta though. It’s possible that his plan to use him as a vessel went awry after he met liebe with anti magic. It’s also possible that he foresaw Asta meeting liebe and getting stronger and this was part of his plan. I wouldn’t be surprised if he intends to use Asta to rid the entire world of magic except himself.
Also when she found out Liebe was a devil she wasn't phased one bit

Here's a theory: Astaroth is being held in a binding ritual with Lucius against his will, while Lucius has been trying to make devil/human hybrids this whole time. Possibly even hybrids in general (think Charmy). He possibly had to leave his own body using his psyche magic (aka mind/consciousness) and used Julius's body as a vessel, who more than likely naturally has transformation magic, which would explain his ability to transform with ease. Someone with both time and transformation magic could easily create many experiments to try and work out several end goals. Now all that is left is to find a way to make ppl have immortal bodies...

Here's a theory, Astaroth wants to change the demon kingdom just as Julius/Lucius wanted to change the Clover kingdom. Destroy the elites of society and have others cull out those who are weak like Asta and the other knights.

Julius being the final villian is the greatest betrayal in modern shonen, Lucifero probably killed Asta and the others multiple times that we didn't see. Only for the Time Devil to rewind time every defeat until a outcome occurred where they defeated Lucifero, so that him and Adraamelchh were able to gain his heart. Tabata is the GOAT!

I want to point something out from Zenon's flashback:
Considering Yuno is roughly 16-17 years old by now, Zenon was a grown up during the Spade coup d'état (when Loyce aka the spade king is killed), and Yuno was still just a baby when he was left in Hage, i do not think that kid Zenon's conversation with Lucius during his flashback would have been 15 years ago. It would only make sense if we assume time magic was also used to age the Zogratis siblings + Allen at least 10-20 years into the future and make them into adults for some reason, but since this is something Saibaman only just mentioned and didnt go deep into, there may be something im still missing.
Could really explain their childish behavior at times. Their goals all seem somewhat childish to a point kinda like easily manipulated.
Really thinking that the Witch Queen might appear any time soon. She also has Future-telling abilities and crow Manipulation and Transfiguration which are both beyond the potential of Blood Magic. My best one is focus on Asta's father being a powerful wizard and warrior from another country. The country is an ally of the Heart Kingdom and the Clover Kingdom. There have been only five countries mentioned in the series. One of the five is the mysterious The Land of the Rising Sun.
A fan video did shown the map of the World of Black Clover. On this map, The Land of the Rising Sun seems to be the only nation on its continent. Yet the country is larger than the Spade Kingdom. The continent is located east of the Main Continent.
For Julius, the disclosure of Julius to be Lucius Zogratis the Fourth and older sibling. The next and final arc is going to focus on Lucius Zogratis. If Tabata wants to continue the series, he is going to borrow another ideal from Bleach. Lucius Zogratis being able to escape and disappear into the world of Black Clover. About the future of Black Clover, it is up to Tabata himself.
I feel like you are right about the land of the rising sun but I also think that there is gonna be powerful people there that have a technique of their own to for mana other than ki. Plus I have a theory that there is two souls in that body cause maybe Lucius has soul magic. First of all maybe Lucius perfected his powers like maybe unite and his time magic. Then he went to the clover kingdom and found Julius cause maybe it is a coincidence that he found some who look like him and changed his magic and maybe Lucius turn back time in his memories and make him think he was using time magic the whole time and still use his transformation magic. Finally he may have planned to be immortal cause if he was planning to get lucifero heart it may have some secret to become immortal. So we can maybe see Asta father reveal, rest of the supreme devil and their power, land of the rising sun, noelle confession to Asta, earth spirit, and asta becoming wizard king at the end.

What I think is Julius never existed in the first place. Lucius manipulated his own memories and created Julius. But the problem would be the transformation magic lol could be an artifact who knows
His attribute is mind magic seeing as how the other siblings all have body system magic types so that is certainly what he did
He will have subdued astaroth and became his superior remember him stating to zenon “you’re as talented as me at contracting devils” or something like that, then factor in brain magic, body bone blood and brain four bs assimilation… yes he made julius but he wasn’t stowed away with no way out he was himself the whole time he has BRAIN magic he can simply make another personality no doubt, then say of the zogratis say he has the strongest bond to his devil through using his brain magic to subdue him in the ritual and this gain a stronger tie say idk 90% seeing as the others all went up by roughly 10 or from one another, which also tells us he likely planned absolutely every single little bit of this story hence him being the final villain, what if the moment he obtains time magic he goes all the way back through time to find what he needs to begin the tree of qliphoth ritual. This also makes yamis random appearance in the clover kingdom from the land of the sun seem very sus.. then think he then knew about the elves and zagreds plan and could very well have influenced it for all we know. This could if written right be one of the best ending arcs in shonen anime

Black clover helped me push through some really tough times and i was really dissappointed and thought that tabata was putting out half hearted work but he just pulled the ultimatest SIKE of all time. I cant tell you in words, how excited i am for the next chapter.
Even tho it will take 3 months, my hype isnt going down because i have exams for the next 3 months, and when finish school, i will have a lot of time on my hands and i will have the next chapter of black clover.

I believe Lucius magic is "Soul Magic". For Julius to be able to casually turn into other people, Lucius must have done something within his/Julius soul. So that Julius believed that him transforming had something to do with "Time Magic". Also, there's a saying "The Soul reflects the Body, "The Body is a mirror of the Soul", & "The Soul shapes the Body". If these are true in a sense, then Tabata is truly writing a "Masterpiece". By him using "Soul Magic" in this type of way. It'd make sense to why, everyone that's come into contact with Julius automatically loves or respects him. It's because Lucius has been reading everyone's soul & feeding Julius the info. Making Julius believe he already knows what people want from him because he kinda does without realizing it. It'd also explain why no one questioned Julius loyalty or character especially with him not being from the (Clover) Kingdom. Because "He already knew what he needed to do to earn their trust plus if he made a mistake, he'd just reverse time slightly back. It was told by Damnatio Kira that he researched about the Supreme devils and found out that megicula is not one of the original supreme devils. He said megicula was most likely astaroth's successor, and astaroth disappeared from the underworld many years ago. The main 3 supreme devils were Lucifero with gravity magic, Beelzebub with spatial magic, and Astaroth with Time magic.
Domnatio said the only person to have time magic in this world is Julius and by saying that julius was posessed by lucius zogrades who probably made a pact with Astaroth
