Started playing this week. This has been the most helpful starter guide I've encountered. The advice to grind 2-3, 3-2 and 3-4 focused my early gameplay. Your description of fleet structure synergy was invaluable. I used my gems to unlock another classroom and dorm room vs. wasting them on skins. I also upgraded all my pink and blue tech boxes to purples. This video definitely got me off to a great start. Thank you!
2-1 is best one to grind for easy coin and ships, you can clear it with basically 1 oil unit and 2-3 oil carrier, its easy farm and decent profit, plus its best map to unlock emergency missions chance to get gems

I’m a veteran and I just so happened to come across this vid and had to watch it purely to, using my own experience and knowledge verify and see if it’s a good guide and whatnot. And I can say that for sure it is good and is a valuable vid for new SKK to come across. 👍 As for me, I’ve been very tempted in recent months to use my otherwise useless RUclips channel to post content on and it being, proving why rarity doesn’t matter until the very endgame. Why? Bcuz I’ve had to tell many new SKK that u don’t have to use high rarity ships to clear a majority of content. U can clear W12 with common shipfus if u want to. It’s with places like W13 is where things get awfully questionable and not so ez. Altho after the DD buffs, hidden carrier mechanic, lv125, and the far superior gear, it is possible to clear W13 and W14 with some common and rare ships.

Got a nice ship on Build that i love her aesthethics so it made me want to invest a bit more in the game and give it a better shot (this is like my 4th time trying to get into the game). Thanks for explaining the grinding spots for beginners iti is confusing where you should focus on specially when os much is available right form the start. Lots of events and the UI seems a bit filled at the home page

BlueStacks all the way and making sure your PC has hardware acceleration turned on if it's a AMD CPU. I tend to hear that Nox has memory leak issues amongst other coding flaws so I don't exactly recommend their emulator.
I'm really tempted to buy skins tho :') btw what are the benefits of dock space and dorm expansion? Also how will you know the roles of a ship is it's a dps or a tank or other. And you forgot to add that you should buy unicorn and helena from the guild shop asap as well
Dock Space just lets you have more ships. Join a Level 10 and free gems can let you expand the dock a fair bit. With so many event exclusive ships, you can quickly run out of space. Dorm expansions lets you unlock the second floor. One gives exp and mood, the other just mood. Roles can vary within class and faction. But CAs usually fill the tank role and placed in the first position. CL are usually overall DPS and anti-air. Destroyers raise fleet movement speed, evasion requirements on some levels and are for anti-submarine. Having one of each in the fleet usually works well.

What do I do when I get multiple copies of a ship? Still very confused about that. I'm gonna lock the rare ones in just in case there is an actual use to them. Great guide by the way.
It largely comes down to their abilities to truly define this, I earnestly recommend to either A) follow team setup suggestions for new players and aim for certain said ships, or B) join an active Azur lane discord community to seek help by being able to show others what you have and seeking advice. The broader criteria to your question is a tad hard to touch on in a single response, as again it largely comes back to what are the abilities more so then anything else and learning what to look for could take time and may be best to seek guidance till you can on your own.
If I could add onto this: The ship type can also influence if they are a tank, support, or dps. For example, Heavy Cruisers (like Prinz Eugen and FNFF Saint Louis) are relatively good examples of tanks - heck, I even use Saint Louis in my main fleet. Destroyers, on the other hand, are basically glass cannons - they have low-ish health but they can give out a spurt of damage using torpedoes. While this is generally the norm, there are a few destroyers that focus more on gunpower than torpedoes (Z23 is a good example of that) Carriers COULD count as both a support and 'glass cannon' of sorts, depending on which carrier you use. Unicorn and Shouhou are good examples of the support class, since they can heal ships. Hiryuu retrofit, on the other hand, is more damaged-based, as she has a skill that sends out an airstrike once every 20 or so seconds. And then there's Shinano. Battleships are more tank-focused, but they can also dish out a lot more damage than carriers if used correctly. Usually, you should run a carrier fleet for mob grinding (as the torpedoes can chew through them if you use the right gear, skills, and carrier) and a battleship fleet for boss grinding (if you manually aim them, the guns give a 20% damage boost if they land). So here's some tips: -You should prioritize getting Independence from the core data shop if you're aiming to get a ship. She can boost the AVI (aviation) stat of other carriers in her fleet by a substantial amount -You don't need to worry too much about oil consumption until around World 5 or 6. From there on out, if you've properly leveled your ships, then you can afford to run maybe two ships in Vanguard and one ship as the main fleet. Grinding previous levels with a reduced setup is recommended, as oil costs can stack up. -CA is Heavy Cruiser, CL is Light Cruiser, CV is Aircraft Carrier, CVL is Light Aircraft Carrier, BB is Battleship, DD is destroyer, and I believe that BC is battlecruiser. There are some special ship types, like Monitor, the recently-added DDGs, and Aviation Battleship, but those aren't essential to the meta... sorta. DDGs are in the 'eh' category, since they have high attack power (they fire MISSILES instead of shells), but they have much lower health. -Regardless, all of the ships have their uses in one way or another. Lower rarity (Normal, Rare, and Elite, sometimes) ships usually use less oil, which is a huge plus if you have a sufficiently leveled blue rarity ship and need to grind a lower level. Higher rarity ships (Elite, sometimes, Super Rare, and Ultra Rare) are better suited for endgame, but the last time I ran a full SR and UR fleet, the oil cost was somewhere in the 80's per battle. Another way to say it is 'waifu > meta'. -If you have a ship that you're not sure if you should use, there are some AL channels that can help you (I recommend Hawk2zer0) or you could go to an Azur Lane Discord server, like what Zoey said earlier. -San Diego has one of the highest AA stats in the game. -A standard setup for Vanguard fleet is Heavy Cruiser->Destroyer->Support ship (Light Cruiser mayhaps). Heavy tanks, Destroyer... destroys, and Support ship boosts the firepower of the first two while giving out a substantial bit of FP on her own.
Bruh, up til 2 days ago I was using universal bulin cause she was an epic class, didn't know that she was only good for limit breaks and leveled her up to lvl 30, started playing a week ago, ty for the very helpful guide.

Are we talking about world 10 or 14 or? In regards to kami boats many ways exist to deal with the,. A good Fredrich Der Grosse helps. Manual play and saving your Vanguards torps for when you see Kami boats to kill them helps. Different methods exist to help mitigate the problem but how much mitigation you may need is influenced by how intense it is as it gets much worst in say world 14.
The only way to target a specific ship is to go into manual mode. Pitty only exists for ultra rares ( at the 200th pull ) but you can usually get all ships for any given event within 100 - 140 or so cubes.

Is it good for new player like me (lvl16) to use Junyou meta, Akagi and Taihou for the main? Cuz I really don't know if they r good, and also my front battleships are Admiral Graf, Sussex and Portland. I also don't know why Buli is a full 4 star and its so weak, while Taihou with 3 stars always rekt the enemy ships
Soo.. The 3-4 grind is nice and helpful, but optional. You wanna grind it for Akagi and Kaga. They are good carriers and can serve you very well (great for faction points to unlock research ships too). But there are more carriers available. But 3-4 is a good early spot for leveling and collecting Helldiver prints to craft some of the best bombers in the game.
I really love to play this game and suitable for my device but for some reason on the lobby is kinda confusing for me its like very confused i just quitted a while
and as she said it's not recommended to craft all your books, imo if you have enough books to spend and wants to lvl the skill FAST you can craft then to gold but if you don't have enough don't craft, I only craft the blues to purple

They are pretty similar as far as healing. Shouhou is more offence focused while unicorn is more defense focused with their secondary skills.
