This is my first time seeing a video from CJ and I gotta say i love it. It was organized well showing the tools you need first, and it was very in depth with the process. Great video guys!
Bob, we added two additional notes about the need for the product to be welded, which is something we intend to do later on, but did not for the video. There was a single mention of this already in the video, but we felt it was important to be emphasized a little more. - Matt B.
Yesterday i purchase the subframe connectors from AM i gave this guys a call to buy it from them but this really rude guy answered the phone really bad customer service so i decide to call AM and they answered all my question very respectful and helpful im disappointed with cjpony
We installed a rear seat delete soon after. Somebody small and flexible can get back there but it is not recommended and could be dangerous in case of an accident.
Expect installation to take around 10 hours going straight through. We spent a lot of extra time modifying the 2013 rear panels which we were not expecting going in. Like Matt said we relaunched the video with additional emphasis on the rear bars needing to be welded. The bar is not safe without that being done so we wanted to make sure that this was mentioned multiple times, in the interest of the video we powdercoated the bar in advance and will be welding the tubes before the car is driven.
It makes getting in the car a little more work but its worth it for the safety aspect. Most of the time we keep the side bars out of the car so it's just like a normal car to get in and out of. When are going to the track we bolt the side bars back in.
It took four days, but that included shooting all the footage for the video. Depending on your skill level, it would probably take you a weekend or so, especially if you can get a few friends to help you. - Matt B.
Can you weld the bars in the car? Or take it all back out after the test fit then put back in. And is that the only spot that needs to be welded to be nhra legal
what's the use of going bold in, and not weld in. I want to do some hpde with my subaru will I need a roll bar, and how dangerous is it for street use with out a helmet.
I'm not very experienced with roll bars so forgive me. I've been thinking of placing one in my car. How did you get in the car with the bar in the way? It seems very inconvenient.
Just bought this roll bar for my 2013. Other than unbolting the ez remove door bars to take them out, do they come out easily? The front mounting plates stay in place right? I'm trying to figure out how to pull them out when the door bars are on the main loop connector things. Are you able to maneuver bar enough to slide it off when the bottom single bolt is removed?
Thank you but that doesn’t work there is no swing out for the top section. The door bar slides onto the connector on the main hoop. And the door bar is so firm you get manipulate it enough to slide it out of the floorboard connector and then off of the main hoop.
Getting in and out is a little more difficult but it's not really bad and the increased safety is well worth it. We keep the side bars off unless we are headed to the track.
Can someone tell me the difference from the maximum motorsports 6 point roll bar and the roll bars on Americanmuscle.com? the maximum motorsports roll bar is around $600-700 on cjponyparts.com and the competition engineering 8 point roll bar on Americanmuscle.com is $285 and nhra and ihra legal?
The competition engineering bars ship completely unassembled, in other words you get a box of pre cut bars and have to fit and then weld everything together yourself. It is a lot more work to install.
i really love the way you talk .I am not an english speaker . Have mustang but never modified . Still see such videos only to learn good english ,
Awais Ali 😀
What language do you speak
I believe I’ll just weld mine in lmao, this was an amazing in depth video with alot of precautions to watch out for even when welding

It is very similar to the one we posted last week, but we needed to make a few updates that we couldn't do without. - Matt B.

What exhaust are you running on that mustang? It sounds amazing at the end of the Video!
+superman0tohero ARH longtube headers, no cats, FRPP sport axle back
Does this kit make it available where you can run a 5 point harness to the cross bar or is it too low

Yes everything can be welded in the car if you would like, the only spot that had to be welded to be legal is the spot shown.
how are you going to have it welded and have welds powder coated and still get the rear bars in the panel like that?
Bill Tumas
What E.T. is this bar legal too?
Also, would it be acceptable to weld this in place or is it only for bolt in?
For safety... did it even pass NHTSA?
this all good for drag but will it be the correct application for club race requirements?
These bars are around $700 and figure on another $700-800 for install. A full custom roll bar would usually run $2000+ and a roll cage $3000+
Random question...is the rear seat still usable at all? Doesn't look like it from what I can see, but I just wondered. Thanks!
One damn sexy Mustang! Love the music! Whats the Bands name??? Album?
fucking love every thing green.... even the tape...
man... good job guys

What side louver inserts are you running in this video?

It can be removed it has pins and not welded

Can u explane what all u need to purchase to install this roll bar in a 2011 mustang gt
How do you get in..I'd imagine it'd be a bit more difficult.
Getting in and out is a little more difficult but it's not really bad and the increased safety is well worth it. We keep the side bars off unless we are headed to the track.
WOWWW THAT IS GREAT WORK YOU ARE DOING TO THE MUSTANG -IT WILL HOLD THE ROAD HEAPS BETTER.. ON HIGH SPEED.. HOW MUCH IS THE PRICE OF YOUR CAGE!
You will need the roll bar kit we sell, access to a welder, and basic hand tools to install.

how long did it take to install?
What type of exhaust does the mustang have
The rear bar gets welded in the car after installation?
It's easier to weld it to the main hoop once you test fit and then re install.
Thanks, I've looked Into it further. I understand how It goes in now.
***** Coming soon
Please explain exactly what needed to be clarrifed! There may be a few viewers
That did not catch it! IMHO
Thanks..for the response matt :)
Wish u guys had 350z roll cages :) sick video tho, verry professional
Who could sit in the back seat?
if you're installing a roll bar, why would you bother with the trim?
To give it a finished look. Many racing classes, including NMRA SST that we run in, do now allow any visible metal surfaces inside the car.
Bill Tumas
a roll bar is for racing, just take out the dead weight while you're in there for better times. DURRR
what would the avg cost of a roll cage be?
what's the song in the background???

Nice and clean
Isn't this a older video?
What side window louvers are those?
