Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is a racing game developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003. The game is the fourth installment in the Mario Kart series, following Mario Kart: Super Circuit from 2001. It was succeeded by the console games Mario Kart DS (2005), Mario Kart Wii (2008), and Mario Kart 3DS (2011) respectively, and the arcade games in the Mario Kart Arcade GP series.
The game introduced a number of new gameplay features, most notably the inclusion of two riders per kart. Double Dash‼ supports LAN play using the Nintendo GameCube Broadband Adapter, allowing 16 players to compete simultaneously. There are 20 characters to select from in total, with eleven of them being new to the series. A special item for each character has also been implemented.
Double Dash‼ was generally well-received by critics; it attained an aggregated score of 87 out of 100 on Metacritic. Reviewers praised the graphics and the new gameplay features, but criticized the voice acting. It was also commercially successful, selling over 3.8 million copies in the United States, and over 802,000 copies in Japan.

This game is so awesome, especially in multiplayer mode. Me and my brothers would play this for hours. I love how if you guys are on the same team the person in the back can hit other players if they're close enough. And, if I recall correctly, if they are holding an item, you steal the item. Love it.

My little sister and I used to play this all the time. I miss those days. They should really bring back the dual-driver aspect, if not as a main feature of the game, them instead as an optional game mode.

Ok im actually really confused, I take the corners 5x better than this guy and I drift, but I've tried this cup 5 times and the best i've come is 2nd place. Im literally constantly hit by items, when they hit me off the edge when i get put back down Ive been hit straight back off 5 times by landing on somebody heavy. Am i just really unlucky or is this guy lucky, every other mario kart I've gotten 3 stars on all cc on all cups so idk wtf is going on but its fucking annoying and mario kart never normally pisses me off. I got hit by a birdos egg 7 times on 1 race too, 3 of them just before i did a big jump so i fell off the edge...
