The only thing it lack is an online mode but maybe a match is too long for it. Peoples leaving constantly in the middle of a match is going to kill the online anyway so...
Online would be so great with this! The simple solution for someone leaving mid game would just be to have the computer take it from there, so you could finish the game if you want to. I have no idea how easy/hard it would be to code that though.

it seems that in the multiplayer, you can control your teams on each end, right? well, that gave in for a lot of shenaningains, like balls that were thrown too far to the left and it counted, or getting people out was insane, where you'd throw to second, they'd run back to first, you'd throw to first, they'd run to second, and rinse repeat. This tomfoolery really pissed me off and only can be done mainly in the multiplayer.
(sorry for late reply) Actually that commercial was for mario super sluggers for the Wii, if your talking about that commercial with those kids in school using sign language to talk, ones like "Hey wanna come over to my house and play mario supper sluggers" the other kid's like "yeah, i'll defeat you by using yoshi's rainbow ball" (or something like that) then the other kid goes "I'll counter with mario's fire swing" Then the teacher says "Michael! Don't waste a fire swing on a rainbow ball."
As a kid, I always called Lakitu the "World's Crummiest Umpire", because I always felt that he fucked up calls. I also complained that the characters never squeezed their mitts when the they caught the ball.
Lol funny thing is im not playing in this video and it wasn't meant for skill. It was a filler when i was on vacation so i would have soemthing to upload that week.
I hope they make a sequel to this for the switch. This game series is a gem.
