hi bots. anyway. it's so weird to hear jung and freud speaking about sexuality in infants . they really did overestimate how impactful the sex drive is in humans.

sexuality is an innate aspect of humanity throughout development, the discovery of this led to maybe an overemphasis in these earlier works, in later work’s sexuality is synonymous with libido, life force, it has various roles throughout development. the ideas of sexuality that they are referring to are not adult sexuality as you would perceive it to be as an adult. for a child their “sexuality” is more likely just the functioning of their nervous system, it would show as anxiety, fear, euphoria, and reaction of the nervous system that could overwhelm
