I have diabetes and feel tired a lot. I have not touched my harp in weeks. I hope I can have some time when I can get in the mood to play. I have achieved a lot. I have been playing harp on the left shoulder for many years. I think it was dyslexia when I grew up and this I believe caused me to play in that manner. I am right-handed.
When i practice for a particular performance I sometime try to emulate the sensation of what it will be like. Eg: turning off the lights and having a bright light over me. Or if it's a processional piece for a wedding practisih different scenarios (longer, shorter, false alarm!) 😂

Just play when you can and remember to have fun! Focus on the joy.
