Super job dave ur letting the side down with the 0 % alchol enjoy the hols pal plenty of full body beer great for releasing stress looking forward to you're next vlog😢😅😅 12:49
Great build great to watch your progress...where did you purchase the diffuser pipe from thinking about doing what you've done in the moving bed ...thanks Paul...
I got it from ebay mate www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185025163557?var=692804307500 here is a link. Then I purchased fittings from these guys www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265843071841?var=565661804637 and I just used cable ties to tighten the pipe onto the fittings... Hope that helps Bud..
I considered it but a filter house is not for observing Koi. Given the levels of the floor I wouldn't see much anyway. Plus I wanted more wall space for storage 🤣🤣
Hi Dave- on a recent short it looked like you have been able to solvent weld the inlet pipe to your Cetus Sieve - if so can you send me a link as to what pipe you used (I couldn’t find correct measurement on any standard or imperial solvent weld pipe) as I’ve had an issue (mines outdoors) where temperature change meant the connection to the inlet on the Cetus slipped off - disaster was averted but I have been looking to resolve and happy to share - fabulous build meantime - well done!
It's not solvent welded mate I have a 90 rubber boot to 4 inch pipe Bud. Sorry.... Thanks for watching mate and I love this sieve what a piece of kit surprised they aren't more widely used....
@@dkoi-tv No worries and thanks for responding - great piece of kit I agree - my set up is different in that it is raised and fed by a retro bottom drain on an outdoor pool - I’ve two Cetus and it happened on both within a short period of each other after hot weather - but I am competing with gravity and heat from the weather.
@@Spike064 Could you not brace the pipework with something to hold it up? To prevent it from dropping off. You can buy 4 inch brackets on stainless rods. Andrew Daly fitted some in his filter house on the koi diaries channel.. I will be getting some for mine no doubt...
My guess for just the pond is "Your Pond Size is: 18225 litres / 4008.94 gallons" going off the block measurements. Looking great now Dave. Out of interest did you make a video on removing your old filters and installing the drum on your old pond ? Cheers.
I filmed a couple of bits and then crashed on with the job, never created a video sorry.. Have just turned the water off as it has hit the bottom of the skimmer lip.... That's the pond only as no filters and its currently 4160 gallons with a fair bit still to go in... I am hoping with my filters I will get my 4800... We will see...

Pond is looking great! It’s impossible to find a fiberglass guy in the states! The kohaku you got is fantastic do you know the breeders?
Marudo is the breeder my friend. Maybe a business to look into if there is a call... Thanks for watching
Fabulous. Thats so good to see. Very exciting! And that Kohaku, what a tank! 😊
Cheers Lau... yeah she's a monster 💪🏻👍🏻
@@dkoi-tv I can see that. In the flesh must be even better.
Exciting times! I dreaded the fill up as was scared the glass would break 😅
Looking really good though!
What size are your windows?
The glass is 2m x 0.8m with 180cm x 70cm visible. Yes were getting there. How's that little kohaku doing?
@@dkoi-tv she’s doing much better thanks! Had a few more salt baths and it’s hard to tell her apart now 😄
