How about placing it back , i have tried to remove the chrome long line above the side windows but same as in this video , some of the clips were simply broken ... now im waiting for the new crome part but not sure how to plave it back righr
Just an advise. You better snap the silver trim from the rubber first and use a screw driver to remove the weather strip rubber. Just in case you need to use the old trim still.
Hello, I have to replace the weather strip rubber on my E34. First I need to snap the silver trim from the rubber and then attach it to the new rubber. But honestly, I am a bit afraid to separate the silver/chrome trim, I do not know how it is attached to the rubber and I am afraid of damaging it during the removal. Do you know how the silver trim is attached to the rubber? how to snap it? so far I could not find any picture/video about its removal
@jalalaliyev3325 hello, i do not know. I did not remove this part in my video. I am sorry but i cannot help you in this situation. Perhaps take it to a local garage where they can maybe check the service manual on how to do it. Or visit BMW dealership and aks them how to do it. Perhaps they may even show you how without charging you. Best of luck 👍
Yes, the car is pretty noisy. Not only with cross wind but also at higher speeds. This is a f3x design flaw i guess. There are a number of DIY’s online to make it less noisy...
@@jmsterdam my car is vinfast created orginally from bmw f10 5 series. still have wind noise when it comes to the gusty windy weather. Otherwise its perfect
Sorry, buddy, but the way you remove the strips in the front doors is completely wrong. They do not need to be pulled horizontally. This may damage the strip. The correct way: dismantle the mirror, pull the strip up, only up! The door has a little latch at both ends and the strip must be clicked onto it during installation. If you use an old strip, you usually have to bend its inner part in the place where it is supposed to click into the latch.
I added English subtitles to compensate the horrible audio and voice
there is no need to apologize for "the horrible sound", thats how the dutch language simply sounds ;)

Does your car have wind noise when car hits cross wind

@@jmsterdam hmm seems like bmw doesnt care about this right. My only has wind noise when cross wind only
Perhaps this is how they segment the 3 series from the 5 series.

You are absolutely right. I wanted to take the easy route (with removing the mirror) but regretted all day long. Mirror removal is a must on this job.
The mirror have to be removed
Yes, that is indeed what i should have done.
Where do you buy the black trim , link?
I bought it on our national Ebay equivalent ‘marktplaats’.
Sounds like The Sims talking
