I was a teenager in the 60's. These were the only shoes that worked on a court. Nothing else came close. If you or your parents were wealthy, you had 2 pairs, on for the court and one to wear daily. Nice video.

This is a great video! Nice touch with the brief history of the shoe. The look book also helped me refine how I’d build out my wardrobe. For example, I really admired the white chucks+suit look, but it helped me understand my style is too conservative to pull it off :). Keep up the quality videos!

Yo we also rocked the Jack Purcells aka "Jacks"I remember when the Chucks came back and dropped in flavors orange green light blue red baby blue navy chocolate brown like 79-80. My cousins in BK was on that Pro-Keds tip growing up because Kareem and Tiny Nate native NYers rocked em. The Pro-Keds 69ers with the two stripes around the whole shoe dropped when Chucks came back also the suede Royal Masters all were in flavors. I rocked em both my style was always Bmore/Brooklyn. When I moved to BK like 85 I took alotta stuff from Bmore. For instance we rocked London fog trench coats car and over coats because the factory was in Bmore. My NY fam rocked Cortefiels and Stratojac. I bought Cortefiel here and took London Fog up top... btw I just copped a crispy hi top white Pro-ked royal...salute playboy...
