Thank you for keeping me company this morning! Just put frozen garden tomatoes in the roaster to prepare for canning pasta sauce😊. Hubby and I went to Meijer yesterday (thank you for alerting me to the $1 potatoes) and got some baking and other goodies. Got 2 .33 cent turkeys, hubby and I both have mPerks so we cheat😅. One for freezer and one for thawing. My mom’s baked Mac ‘n cheese is a Christmas Eve staple for us! Also bought $1 bags of fresh cranberries to make and can sauce.
Making Ham,Waldorf fruit salad, Amish white bread with whipped honey butter, Savory pull apart bread ring,Pumpkin pie. All to take to family gathering. Thankful this year to have your recipes a part of our Holiday spread.
Hi Renea and John! I’ve just got to make my dressing and I’m waiting till Wednesday to make my strawberry cake. Everything looks great and thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day and Happy Thanksgiving!
I tried once using an electric mixer, and my potatoes ended up with a very gummy texture. I also like garlic in my mashed potatoes. Have a wonderful weekend. 🖐🏻🇨🇦
I only buy organic as they cannot be GMO. Might cost a little more but you won't get the nutrition from GMO potatoes. I'm not saying your potatoes were, just saying it's a possibility. ❤
Renea so enjoyed this video you cooked some amazing food you also look so pretty today you keep your stove so clean and everything else just love watching your channel❤️ Shelby
Looks delicious. My sweet potato casserole has brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg and is topped with mini marshmallows! Everyone loves it. Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving prep with us.
Everything looks so delicious. I don't have an extra freezer so I'll be making my casseroles on Wednesday. I also make a cream corn and broccoli casserole every holiday. Making my breads tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving!!
You are so wonderful. I wish I could just spend the day in the kitchen with you, but I live in Florida and you’re way up in Michigan, but that would be fun. I would get to learn so much from you. 😊❤ I am learning a lot by watching the videos. I don’t miss a One.
Great idea fixing it ahead of time but I'd be going hungry at your table because you put sour cream and/or cream cheese in everything! Lord have mercy Renae! I'd eat up all that cranberry sauce though! I make a cranberry salad with finely chopped celery in it and raspberry jello.
You should try adding strawberries or raspberries, to your cranberry sauce. Maybe you would like that a lot better! It cuts the bitter/tartness from the cranberries! My family loves the cranberry sauce in the can!! It's much sweeter and has a smooth texture. You could also use your emersion blender to blend the sauce smooth. Maybe it's a texture thing that you don't enjoy!
I'm 62 years old and have never had mac and cheese for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm curious as to where and when it was started since it's not really traditional fare.
Here Thanksgiving tip do not put raw eggs in stuffing put it in the fridge it will sour you have to cook it if you going make stuffing with eggs do it on Thanksgiving day
"My counter's clean" LOL We love you Renea, stuff we all do but normally nobody's watching! :)
Good idea. Make ahead dishes. I canned all the veggies we are using. I canned the pumpkin, cooked homemade cranberry sauce & canned that.

We have had it for years.
I like your hand mixer, is it vintage?
You’re a whiz in the kitchen! I’m going to make some things ahead myself. Thanks for the inspiration!
It is rather old.
