Love the video. One tip that I found was using flowering azalea leaf blocks for a floor and walls instead of dirt and flowers and glass. That way the bees can get pollen from the walls as well.
Same thing works for the new cherry blossom leaf blocks.👍
LMAO I knew there was gonna be a reason for collecting up a stack of those today😂😂😂 you can put them on walls fr??
Omg I loved this concept so much! I just found some beehives and was debating on what to do with them. This was perfect! I built the red stone portion underground and the top portion I used the glass design with bamboo fence bordering and bamboo plank backboard. Thanks Prowl!
Okay this is insane timing. I've been working on a bee farm (still!). None of the normal designs (technically) were doing it for me, so I've been playing around trying to make a better one... Love some of the ideas on this, particularly that the redstone is mostly hidden under ground! Gonna have a go at building this for sure now!
I love hiding the redstone :p
I just finished building the honey farm and made it look so cute! Im so happy! It works like a charm!!!! :D
This video will be so helpful for my redstone builds thanks man
No problem!
Im excited to see all the new farms that will come out with the auto crafter. Because you guys could design something that creates the honey block and cycles the emptied bottles back throught system!
Yep this would be awesome!
Great video! Super easy to follow and understand even if you aren't redstone inclined. ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Nothing like waking up to a new Prowl tutorial!
been working in my head how to do something like this. Thanks for putting this up.
No problem!
Nice design, love the redstone wiring!
Thanks!
Great tutorial! I love it! I don’t need this type of farm in my world, but it was fun to learn about it.
Super easy to make too! Maybe you need some honey blocks? :p
@@Prowl8413 lol, maybe I’ll make one in my little creative test world and see. 😄
Such a useful tutorial! Please do a honeycomb farm next!
Coming soon!
Early member video let's gooo!
Thank you! 🤗👍
This is awesome! I have bee hives along a edge of farm to help it grow faster. This can replace that set-up to get honey faster.
That would work great!
Hey there Prowl,
I usually am on board with a lot of your tutorials, but this one is lacking quite a bit. First problem with this as built, no real way to replenish the droppers easily. The second problem, the redstone isn't working to send the bottles properly and collect the honey. The last problem, the redstone as built is clogging the hoppers.
Im trying to suss out the issues and make it work, but there's a bit too much to fix. Might need to go back to the drawing board with this one and rethink how it works. If you are looking to do a one time fill up and draw out of honey, then yeah this is pretty simple (after you fix the redstone issues), not to mention clean with half of it underground.
Perfect timing, was just about to do a bee farm
I find the best answer to bees is to set them up in a flowering leaf box (azalea, cherry) and use allays for the collection system. That was you can just use the observer/dispenser system and have the 3 allays lift the items (spammed empty bottles, honey bottles, honey comb) to a pickup spot (noteblock with a slow etho clock to keep the noise minimal) and runs through a impulse sorter to pull the empty bottles and pipe them back to the system. I've also done the same with slab floors over a hopper floor (expensive on iron and wood) and water floors (running to a hopper into a dropper on an comparator to feed into an elevator (keeps it closed so the bees can't get in it). The water floor needs your line of sources to be in the wall - if there are no full water blocks the bees don't drown.
This is a nice, tight system that tiles without alternating like most of the comparator systems I've done - that trigger a dispenser on a full load and then uses an impulse sorter as the means to pull the filled bottles out of the dispenser (fill all but one slot).
is there a video tutorial on this?
Ooh I didn't think of using the allay
An awesome build I’m gonna have to make one
Do it!
@@Prowl8413 oh, I will be doing it. I just need to build the other idea you gave me on the live stream today.
I did this in bedrock realms and it does not work. The bottles stay the hoppers gah i wasted so much time on this. I redid it a few times sure it was my mistake and nope.
is the hopper correct direction?
That's a hopper bug, it will be corrected in the next version of minecraft
I look forward to the Crafter Table version that forms Honey blocks and then recycles the bottles 😁
Wow. I love bee farms but mine are always a mess 😂
I haven't seen anyone make it this way before! 🐝🐝
It works VERY well!
Love the video, can we get an updated auto shulker unloader? Need one for my sorting system
Bee farms are tedious lol, the bees beg to disappear
They like to wander away. Once you have them trapped, you're good!
I saw people doing it in the end on java cause bee work 24/24 in the end but does this work too on bedrock ?
Im gonna try this today. Hopefully, it works because none of the other designs have worked for me... a bit more technical for my skill level but im optimistic because it looks fairly simple... quick question does this work for honey comb also? Like can i do a mix or is it only hone bottles?
Sadly it doesn't work for bedrock... instead make jc playz honey farm that can be used for both.
It works great for honey bottles. Is there a way to modify this to do honey comb?
Here to add watch time to the best MC channel on YT 😂
Theres been an issue, like sometimes dispenser didn’t work like the comparator detected the bee hive is full and extended the signal and resulting activating redstone torch near the hopper, it activates the hopper and won’t turn off
Have you found a fix?
For me I have to stay next to the bee farm because I’m not sure why when I go away some distance the red stone breaks
I like this design for not using minecarts. A question: do some honey bottles land above or below instead of in hoppers? It's a common problem in my own designs.
Nope, completely lossless here.
Bro color coded it as he was a electrician 😂
DO NOT cross the red and blue wires. Bad things happen.
@@Prowl8413
So the nest are filling up but not doing owt the red s t one touch underneath turn off and other one on or other way round I cant remeber without looking at it
what do i if the honey bottles are staying stuck in the hoppers?
I like it I like it
Can you do honeycomb with this as well? Like half and half ?
If I wanted honey comb instead of honey bottles can i make the same farm but add shears or would the farm be different?
The farm would be different. The way honeycomb comes out is different, so everything goes in different spots.
Honeycomb design is much more simple. I'll do one soon.
Nice..... honeycomb next pls.
Ok coming soon
It needs crafters that automatically craft honey blocks and a system that evenly recycles bottles
my bees go in the beehive and don't come back out is it cause my base is in a mushroom island or just a glitch with the bees.
Hey prowl i recently built both of your bee farms but the other one works great but this one does not....even though the hives are full it didn't collect anything... i checked everything multiple times (I'm playing on pocket edition)
Same it keeps breaking
@@1234567play ya that's why i build jcplayz honey farm instead.
@Rahulbpc so I found out it is because I'm on a realm and there is a fix for it
some of my beehives aren’t getting emptied any reason why, it’s the behives where the target blocks are
Same, the target block lines are consistently getting jammed (bedrock realms)
I love the design, I’ve done it. I’m on PlayStation 5 bedrock it looks like the hopper line doesn’t work properly 🤷🏼♂️
did you figure it out?
Who didn't know honey can be crafted in to sugar
honey bottles gettin stuck wont move through hoppers guessing because of redstone around the it anyone gotta fix?
same
Probably want to place the beehives at night or after everything is enclosed so the bees don’t fly out and get in the way
These are new hives, they would be empty
Nice video and farm built it on my realm and it looks great, but it just doesnt always collect the honey is there a fix to this?
i have the same problem.....
They just decided to do that randomly.
sometimes this one is broken, sometimes that one is broken.
i repaste the entire build in the same place and sometimes (only sometimes) they worked perfectly for 30 minutes
@@khai1705 I've been using it still works alright just sometimes breaks, eveytime I notice a hive has Honey in it when it's not supposed to I go underneath to the redstone and just replace the piece of redstone going into the target block or repeater seems to fix it for a bit. I think it's a realms/bedrock thing as there's no reason for it not to work other than it just being buggy. Sleeping near it also breaks it.
Just made this, moved the bees 1000 blocks ,and they never come out of the hives in farm… Did they vanish?
does this work for 1.20.4, bacause i tested other bee farms that allegedly 1.20.4 but were not so
This bee farm is for Bedrock only. I believe the target blocks work differently, so this wont work
works fine for honey bottles but honeycomb gets spat out and sheers end up in the collection chest?! 🤷♂️
Somehow half my hives aren't being harvested and my hoppers are jammed. I'm no good at redstone. :-/
Can you make contraption for the block crafter?
The autocrafter? When it comes out... you will see many new prowl tutorials!
@@Prowl8413 this is why I subscribe to you😆
Bruh plz make a storage room with sorting system and with shulker box unloader
I recently did a multi-item storage system tutorial. A full thing with all components is likely at some point on the Bedrock Guide series... shulker unloaders, sorting, and a storage silo
If I made the flower section into a shaker for bonemeal, do you think that it would bother the 🐝
moving blocks get weird and could start killing the bees if they phase through.
I doubt the bee's would be able to pollinate and it wouldn't work.
Daylight sensor on night mode to turn on the shaker while the bees sleep might work
target block red stone stops working the torches that are meant to be lit up aren’t and the ones that aren’t meant to be lit up are and it stops taking the honey from the beehives is there any fix?
Are you on Java edition? This could be a difference between Bedrock and Java. This tutorial was made on Bedrock.
@@Prowl8413same issue, bedrock realms, I've checked the wiring 4 times, it matches the tutorial. It has to be a realms difference but I don't know what it is
It also jams up the hoppers bc the torches seem to power them when the Redstone signal gets stuck, which causes the hoppers to hold their honey bottles
@@Prowl8413I've figured out a realms workaround but it's messy, it involves expanding the farm one block further back, 4 more glass blocks, a dozen more repeaters, and moving all the droppers to the same side of the farm... But it does work
Hey can you better explain your fix, I am on a realm and having the same issue but cBt quite understand your explanation to fix it@@jesterlavore1314
Having a issue with the farm everything has been done correctly on my end the only other thing is I extended the farm from 8 to 24 the farm does not seem to work the hives are full of bees and have the honey mark but no honey bottoms are being dispensed
i have the same problem any fixes
@@ethenoconnor2921 no not sure if I can find a fix tried replacing the comparators with observer and didn’t work toyed around with the red stone couldn’t get it to work either
@@ethenoconnor2921 I found a design that somewhat works it is automatic let me know if you want the link
i just broke some of the red stone torches and the red stone dust connecting to the target block that i broke aswell and replaced everything got it to work that way
Does it have to be Bee HIVES or can I use nests?
they're the same thing
Do they have to be beehives? And why do the bottles get stuck in the hoppers?
im currently experimenting this, the honey bottles get stuck because of the hives being full of honey
@@zvhlr ok right but why is that happening, shouldn’t it just collect it, and then transfer to chest. Instead the redstone torch is being powered below thus locking the hopper in front of it. Then it fully fills that hopper and backing up the system
Ya man I have no clue did you find a fix?
Can build farms in nather
I have a way better honey farm, its not super cheap but id say anyone whos making one can easily put it all together cos its worth it, 100% hidden redstone, easily refilable as well, would not stick next to base though, the pistons and rails will drive u mad over time
It doesn't work

it's not working as intended.
the dispensers frequently fail to collect the honey
this design doesn't work
This works perfectly on Bedrock edition, as you can see in the tutorial.
@@Prowl8413This only works a little bit. The honey bottles end up backing up in the hoppers and clogging the system.
Unsubscribed. Charging people to know what they're making. Anyone can get this info anywhere else. It's a honey farm, not rocket science. I have one in all my worlds. I'm not upset information I already know is being withheld, but with your new direction, limiting and forcing people to pay to understand what you're making them build is absolutely disgusting.
The day I do need a tutorial, I'll be sure to skip anything from you as I'll know it will be INTENTIONALLY incomplete.
Not that deep pal
guess we know whos apart of the lgbtq
No offense but this design is very flawed.
After some time, the system completely clogs up, how you missed this in your testing is unbeknownst to be.
You cannot easily refill the bottles
The redstone is larger than it needs to be and still doesnt work
Have you found a fix around?
