Most likely his troops let him be ambushed by the enemy. He had a terrible reputation of having murdered the young princes in order to gain the throne for himself.
Why is it that literally every unsolved mystery is solved in 2012 or 2014. Do scientist think that, " well these two years will be the years of discovery."
If they were solved earlier, they would just be "mysteries that took really long to solve". If they were solved later than 2014, their solution would have not quite be confirmed by the time this video was made (of course, some of those solutions still aren't or may never be confirmed).

JAY O I live by the coast that means that we have snow only every couple of years here. But we have a strong and really cold north-east wind and rain which makes it really really cold. For us at least.
Um, the Mary Celeste theory is one of several that are only speculation. It is impossible to accurately claim that an alcohol explosion was responsible for the evacuation of the crew, and the fact that the log- almost always evacuated with the ship- was left behind and showed no record of any damage to the vessel or attempt at damage control leaves a gap in this theory. The crew had time to launch a lifeboat, but apparently not time to grab a log book? No maritime investigation has ever explained this inconsistency. Sailors are well trained personnel largely not given to panic. Especially during shipboard fire control (even on wooden ships), every sailor has a task, and typically the Officer of the Watch (in modern military vessels typically the Officer of the Deck or OOD) has the task of securing the log. In conclusion: 1. If there was time to launch a lifeboat, there was time to secure the log. It wouldn't have been found on the vessel. 2. If there was time to launch the lifeboat, there was time to initiate damage control/fire control procedures. None of this was done. 3. If there was time to launch a lifeboat and initiate some kind of damage control, there was time to notate this in the log, i.e.: "2213Z, Fire rptd. Main space. Condition Z set. Prep. LB for launch." Source: 19 years, United States Coast Guard. The Mary Celeste remains an enduring mystery. My personal belief is that the crew knew that one day Kanye West would exist, and simply jumped overboard in despair.

UPDATE: A month ago the Terror was found! John Franklin's expedition's second ship, the HMS Terror, was discovered in Terror Bay in the Northwest Passage of the Arctic, by a research vessel, guided by an Inuit man, Sammy Kogvik, 49, of Gjoa Haven. It was discovered in pristine condition, suggesting the ship sank gently to the seafloor. Even most of it's windows are still intact. Seven years earlier, while ice fishing on snowmobiles, Sammy had found the ship's mast sticking out of the ice and had asked his friend to take a photo of him giving the mast a 'bear hug'. But, on their return home, the camera slipped out of his pocket, and when a year later his friend died in an accident, he took it as an omen of bad spirits and decided not to tell his tale, especially given he was unlikely to be believed (many now-accurate Inuit stories of the expeditions were discounted as being 'unreliable'). But, given the research vessel's crew were welcoming of Inuit testimony, Sammy was able to tell his story, much to the gratitude of the crew, and within hours of beginning the search, the Terror was found. See: www.macleans.ca/news/canada/how-trust-led-to-hms-terror/
+Matt Postle I certainly find it hard to believe a 700 pound rock could be made to scoot around with a little ice and wind - what were the weights of the rocks the researchers had to use?
The Marvel comic writers were unfamiliar with Russian naming conventions. Her name should be Natasha Romanova, not Romanov, as last names, as well as first names, are gender specific in Russian. What about the theory that the Egyptians used the annual flooding of the Nile to move the stones from the quarry to the location of the pyramids? The boundary of the flooded state of the Nile was right next to the pyramids and in close proximity to the quarry that they used.
The pyramids were built from the top and then down and scientists have already proved this. They found A body. it was thought not to be hers. But since there has been the discovery on a completely different island of evidence of a man and a woman having lived there (thought to possibly be Amelia and co-pilot) with other items that would have matched what could have been on the plane. The video doesn't show the actual solved mysteries, it just shows suspected theories that could be the answer
According to Wikipedia : On 13 May 2014, underwater archaeological explorer Barry Clifford claimed that his team had found the wreck of the Santa María. In the following October, UNESCO's expert team published their final report, concluding that the wreck could not
I sincerely appreciate your attention to detail, accuracy and non-speculative commentary. There are far too many channels parading as informative, skeptical, wholesome or truthful, yet still feel necessary to mention "some believe it was aliens." Thank's for sparing us the bullshit.
Ships sailed through there all time. Some were bound to sink. The high number of sinkings was the result of the relatively heavy traffic the region has had for centuries.
there's also the mystery of what happened to Syed Musa as-Sadr. Lebanese claim Gaddafi killed him, but Gaddafi stated that Musa as-Sadr left Libya safely. his body still has not been found, and he was a great leader for Lebanese, as he united Christians and Muslims
Furthermore, the Mary Celeste baffles me. There were experts back in the 80's saying that the alcohols potential of exploding was the most logical reason for the abandonment of the ship. It took them another 20 years to agree on this? All the evidence clearly points to this conclusion, always has. From the 10 days of rough seas due to storms, the open hatches (left open to allow the fumes to vent) to the long rope tied to the mast hanging off the back of the ship (meant as a teather).
+Rizzo Basiliere For me it is extremely plausible, having been at sea for a while. We usually leave the tender boat at sea and we tow it with a rope, and it happened one time the rope broke (I managed to recover the tender).
Exceptionally good video this time!! So happy to finally find out what happened to Amelia Earhart as well as the Tsar's two children, along with quite a few of the other mysteries. Thank you very much, great work!!
i wanna know what the hell happened to DB cooper, we know he died in the jump, but no body? some of cash was found years later,...and no one has any idea who this guy was, no family, friends etc.??? Still think he's Don Draper.
From the Guardian about the highly alleged "finding" of Earhart's plane. "Objectors immediately pointed out that he had not checked the fragment’s rivets, which did not match Earhart’s Electra. Now, 22 years later, the photo could indeed explain the discrepancy - but Gillespie still lacks a wreck to compare the pattern to. As a substitute, Gillespie’s team went to a Kansas facility that’s restoring an Electra and claims to have found - by holding the patch up alongside the restored plane - that the rivets seemed consistent with the pattern. No independent researchers have confirmed their findings."
I can't believe "What happened to the Mayan Civilization" was dubbed a mystery. My family on my mother's side is originally from Mexico (the Yucatan Peninsula), and have a large amount of Mayan ancestry. What happened to their "lost" civilization? They merely blended into the generic Mexican culture, and have been living normally (relative to other people in the area) ever since.
These are all religious dates. B.C.E is Before Christ Existed. C.E is Christ Exists. And A.D is After (Christs) Death. They all refer to around the time Jesus was alive on earth hope this helps.
2:17 That's not entirely accurate. The stones actually sit in pond bed that's dry most of the year. But when the pond does have water in it, it tends to be shallow enough where the tops of the rock sit above the surface. The water freezes at night, then in the early morning it breaks up in the sun. The tops of the rocks are then pushed by huge sheets of ice as they glide across the water, pushed by the wind. The conditions for this are apparently so exact, that it's considered a "Goldilocks scenario". Which would explain way this hasn't really been observed anywhere else in the world.
Jack McCullough was released from prison last month after serving three years in jail, because it was somehow proven he could not have been at the location where little Maria was abducted. Very sad, how his own mother thought he could have been the killer, and that the murder may remain unsolved.
On 13 May 2014, underwater archaeological explorer Barry Clifford claimed that his team had found the wreck of Santa María.[14][15] In the following October, UNESCO's expert team published their final report, concluding that the wreck could not be Columbus's vessel.
The painting that appears during the Richard III segment depicts a battle scene from the 1640s, more than 150 years after his death. It's a bit like printing a picture of WWI in an article about the American War of Independence.
I speculated that Amelia earheart crashed in the sea and used the remains of her plane and an underwater cave and caught seafood to survive. After years of living in her cave, she made her final diary entry and with a sharpened piece of the cave, killed herself with it.
Didn't know all that about Amelia! So happy to hear it! She was one of my favorite female heroines as a child. Even though I believe that SHE was a peace this entire time, now at last, we can be, too. Thanks! That panel from her plane was the kicker, along with the other things, but that plate ... isn't that the ONLY one ever made like that, specifically designed by her, for that plane, for that last flight?)
what they figured out the moving rocks!? I did a project in one of my geology classes some time back about sailing rocks and the mystery surrounding their movement. Glad to know they figured it out lol
The Amelia Earhart mystery has always haunted me. Just so eerie. But why didn't they find any bones possibly of Noonan's? They should've been with hers, it seems like. Unless maybe she died in the crash, but he lived and was captured and taken away, perhaps.
Concerning the moving rocks, I saw a documentary made in the 1950's that, of all things, simply showed The Rocks Moving! Yes, water, smooth slick surface, pressure, movement., There was no ice. Ice can do that. Simple weight on a slick surface. Older than Adam.
The knowledge of how the Mayan civilization crumbled is way older than 2012. I have books of the 90s that already explain that... Same goes for how the Pyramids were built, I've been taught that in school in the 80s...

Addy VERY original
so wait.. they found emilia Earharts body in 1940???
They found A body. it was thought not to be hers. But since there has been the discovery on a completely different island of evidence of a man and a woman having lived there (thought to possibly be Amelia and co-pilot) with other items that would have matched what could have been on the plane. The video doesn't show the actual solved mysteries, it just shows suspected theories that could be the answer
Here after 4 years rewatching this again, I miss when life was easier in middle school and just watching youtube videos 😭
According to Wikipedia : On 13 May 2014, underwater archaeological explorer Barry Clifford claimed that his team had found the wreck of the Santa María. In the following October, UNESCO's expert team published their final report, concluding that the wreck could not
Lie-Chester... U focking wot m8?
Lie-chester. Really...
anastasia that's what the movie was made about....
anna banana99996 Ayy finally found a comment about this.
Haha
Enjoyed this very much .. the explanations made so much sense..keep up the good work!
I sincerely appreciate your attention to detail, accuracy and non-speculative commentary. There are far too many channels parading as informative, skeptical, wholesome or truthful, yet still feel necessary to mention "some believe it was aliens."
Thank's for sparing us the bullshit.

+kemboy323 You could easily do a top 100... And just using those from the last 30 days.
what about the Bermuda Triangle

'Lei-chester'
Exceptionally good video this time!! So happy to finally find out what happened to Amelia Earhart as well as the Tsar's two children, along with quite a few of the other mysteries. Thank you very much, great work!!

i wanna know what the hell happened to DB cooper, we know he died in the jump, but no body?
some of cash was found years later,...and no one has any idea who this guy was, no family, friends etc.???
Still think he's Don Draper.
The cover is the titanic bruh
+Jack Lahey so? it's been found.
spacktard.
"C.E."? Is that what they call "A.D." now? Really?
Anthony Range Ugh.
Jimmy Joe Just an alternate way to say it. AD is still used.
People use both, and they've used both for thousands of years. Guess you missed that in history class.
B.C.E. and C.E. have been used for a long time, and are more intuitive than B.C. and A.D.
These are all religious dates. B.C.E is Before Christ Existed. C.E is Christ Exists. And A.D is After (Christs) Death. They all refer to around the time Jesus was alive on earth hope this helps.
Lie chester...
2:17
That's not entirely accurate.
The world is flat!!!!
Braap78 I wouldn't know.
+William Navarrete nope its not flat
Anikin Govannon Yes it is
William Navarrete no your ass is flat and go look up pics of the earth
Anikin Govannon You are stupid go to school kid the Earth is flat. Also the Earth is the center of the universe.
Well, thanks a bunch for NOT telling us where the wreck of the Santa Maria is lying!
It's awesome finding out about Amelia Earhart That was one mystery I grew up wanting to really what happened. What an amazing woman she was
Didn't know all that about Amelia!
Seriously!? That ten creepiest page advertisement thingy has just creeped the f**k out of me!
Guess I'm staying in bed for another half hour.
Well......that Disney film Anastasia just got a whole lot darker!
Oh.I was so shocked at that wikipedia page suddenly appearing on the screen. Haha
How about a Top 10 ways to keep your sanity during an election year?
what they figured out the moving rocks!? I did a project in one of my geology classes some time back about sailing rocks and the mystery surrounding their movement. Glad to know they figured it out lol
No, as you can see in the drawing, stone blocks were not moved on sleds; statues were moved on sleds! Blocks were more likely moved with water.
love anticipation and unsolved mysteries! really cool!
Another reason the Egyptians used water was to aid in making sure the ground was level before building. like a large leveler used today.
The Amelia Earhart mystery has always haunted me. Just so eerie. But why didn't they find any bones possibly of Noonan's? They should've been with hers, it seems like. Unless maybe she died in the crash, but he lived and was captured and taken away, perhaps.
the mystery is often more intriguing than the solution .They still didn't explain how they lifted the blockes of the pyramids .
1:40 wait is that where the movie Anastasia came from?
Don't you hate it when you're digging a new parking lot and an old monarch's skeleton pops up?
+BloodyBay
IKR?
Concerning the moving rocks, I saw a documentary made in the 1950's that, of all things, simply showed The Rocks Moving! Yes, water, smooth slick surface, pressure, movement., There was no ice. Ice can do that. Simple weight on a slick surface. Older than Adam.
why does she sound so emotional throughout this whole video? especially when talking about the Romanovs
The knowledge of how the Mayan civilization crumbled is way older than 2012. I have books of the 90s that already explain that... Same goes for how the Pyramids were built, I've been taught that in school in the 80s...
