Nice video. I have a tire inflator and I always have a tire plug kit. But yes those are are essential and the idea of this video is brilliant. Keep on keeping on my friend
hello from Indiana! i want to thank u for a great tutorial on what tools to keep in ur car/truck. My daughter who is 25 and Im old enough to have a 25 yr old 😚 just took a job that requires alot of travel. Although I wouldn't probably know how to fix the issue,. at least I have peace in knowing I have a great assortment of tools to hand someone.. who is fixing it😆😆 I enjoyed ur video... many thanx
Yeah I had a 1998 Toyota T-100 truck and I kept a bag of tools. But the tools I kept in my bag were battery and tire and belt related. I did not want tools to work on the engine because I never had any problems with the engine even though I was like the 4th owner. But I had problems with the battery and changed the belts way before it was needed and also packed a little air compressor for tire pressure. I sold the T-100 when I got a Toyota FJ Cruiser and I pack its get away tool bag with a Chamois cloth, a garden spray gun, couple of screwdrivers, a couple of channel locks, a 12" crescent wrench a window cleaning spray can , cotton cloths, sponges, hazard reflectors, that old tire air compressor and an LED flashlight. I pack this bag for the long trips so I can wash my car at any hotel/motel we wind up at on our trips. I'm really not worried about breakdowns on the roads. If it were to get bad that's why tow trucks were invented,
I am driving to Palm Springs CA from Boulder CO this spring in a 1979 GMC Suburban... Figured I'd put together a dedicated tool box for the trip, as well as a box of "critical spare parts" Thank you for the video!
Thanks for the comment I have turned the volume down on my videos I appreciate you letting me know, I’m trying to figure this whole editing thing out so I love the feedback thank you
I am a Tanker Tool Bag Guy, was thinking of getting a rollaway tool cabinet, and had to admit I tend to need to toss my tools in the truck more than work here in the garage. Nice setup !
I have kits in both vehicles in a small heavy duty tote. It’s less heavy on the wrenches. In addition to your tools I carry a tire repair kit and small compressor, hammer, hacksaw, duct tape, road flares, glow sticks, a small tarp, waterless hand cleaner, paracord, a multimeter tester, headlamp, jumper cables, tow strap, and spare fuses and extra bulbs.
You need a crescent wrench in that bad boy ;) also known as a thumb detecting nut fućkér 😂 pretty comprehensive kit though! Do you have a tire inflator in your truck? Could we get a truck tour? Cheers
In addition to the crescent wrench, hammer, duct tape and the multimeter others mentioned, I would add a test light, heavy linesman's pliers, a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter so you can put that breaker bar to more use, and a cheater pipe to give it more leverage.
I do have a set a transfer punches they go up to I think 1/2 inch, I saw on Amazon they had a set that went from half inch all the way up to 3/4 or 1 inch I’m gonna get a set of those next.
Only thing I would add is a tire plug kit !! Nice setup I like that little bag !!
Great video , good habits to pass on to your kids.
The only thing I could think of adding is a multimeter. Very helpful when troubleshooting electrical issues. I love the surplus canvas bag!

I totally spaced on the crescent wrench. Excellent idea. I’ll be getting one. Thanks.

Hi neighbor: Where is your duct tape?

Nice little kit to get your ass out of a jam, Bravo Sir!
i stop at garage sales and buy all the tools I can. I know I can give them to my kids if I have duplicates.

What you have is a good base. I also carry a small compressor, electrical stuff, extra trailer stuff, tire repair, ratchet straps...list goes on
That’s a great idea I am going to add one to my kit
Wow that small thing packed a lot of things.
Thanks for the tip Adam I am definitely doing that
What was the issue with the truck?
You need a crescent wrench in that bad boy ;) also known as a thumb detecting nut fućkér 😂 pretty comprehensive kit though! Do you have a tire inflator in your truck? Could we get a truck tour? Cheers
A Mexican speed ratchet!
Yeah I gotta redo mine since I got a different car... great video y’all

More great ideas thank you
My dad taught me I tried to teach my 3 sons somewhere I came up short
Zip ties, gorilla tape, auto fuses
Where abouts in Idaho do you live? I live in eastern Oregon near the treasure valley. Great kit btw.
Rathdrum near CDA
6 metric sockets. Interesting. I bet I use only about 6 sizes as it is anyway.
JB weld
Looks a lot like the one I keep in my truck, in fact I have the same bag hmmmm
Subbed ya
Also wondering if you have transfer punches. Not for the truck but for brackets

Idaho Fabricator cool! I think that would be another good video to make :) those transfer punches are a force multiplier! Lol
I keep tools in all my vehicles
What brand of bag?
I bought it at an army surplus store, I think they called it a mechanic tool bag.
Such a loud intro to transition to a soft spoken dude
