14:57 minor correction here, the LMP refers to the first day of bleeding of the last mensrual period
So if the lady says for example he LAST day of bleeding was January 7th and her period lasted for 5 days..
Her LMP in this case is dated January 2nd
Your videos are great!! So helpful
I love your lectures, it has been my go in my NP education. It appears it is gear towards medical students. Don't know how much you about the nurse practitioner exam, if you do dont forget us in giving us some exam tips. Thank you keep up the great job

If she is delivered then gravida can be used in the two examples mentioned????
thank u so much dr. bolin for ur effort!!
thank you
When you say LMP does that mean the first or the last day of the menstrual period?
Thank you for sharing this amazing and easily understandable lecturer Dr.
Can you please share us the ppt note.
The cycle length wasn’t clear if you could explain it to me would really appreciate that thank you
ThankYou!!
You're the best!!!
Dr Bolin, I have a question. Aren't twins counted as one gravida but two para? At least it is so according to the book Obstetrics by Ten Teachers 20th edition (page 4). So at 37:29, shouldn't it be gravida 4, para 4?
We learnt that would be G4P3+1 (the second twin is the +1)
Para will be 1 because her pregnancy would’ve crossed the period of viability
But living would be 2 (for twins) 3 for triplets or 4 for quadruplets etc etc because the viable pregnancy had those many living children
Supposed 1 of the twin babies passed away inutero due to twin twin transfusion syndrome or some other reason......then it will be living 1 death 1
Suppose at the time of pregnancy with twins she already has to living children who were Singleton pregnancy
Then while pregnancy if she’s first visited u at anytime during pregnancy she’d be G3 p2L2
After birth of the twins
She’s gonna be (no more G)
P3 L4
@@drshehnazparveez3069 Huh? You're not making any sense lol
British medicine reckons it that way, yes.
is this series enough for USMLE exame ?
If 8week aog first preg then G1T0P0A0L0
But what happens when she is on her 28 week aog first pregnancy right now? still the same??
I can finally understand the gtpal system and the gpa system and the due dates, and the examples with explanation, I really really appreciate them🥺🥰🥰
Isn't Rebecca's G/TPAL be G4T1P1A1L2? How is it L3 when she has a total of 4 pregnancies, the 1st resulted in SAB and 2nd and 3rd are term and pre-term live births, and 4th isn't born yet?!
im not seeing video on breech pregnancy
i cant donate for your videos. but i will watch any ad that pops up in ur videoo
thanks for your vídeo!
Thank you so much for your lecture they are really helpful to understand the subject I'm really grateful to you.
How can I get the slides of these lectures?
isn't it supposed to be from 1st day of bleeding of LMP? not last day of bleeding?
elle lee yes ... It's the first day of LMP
Obviously, he's not an FP or OB-Gyn. He's an internist. He also pronounces many medical words incorrectly. For example, Chlamydia TRA cho MAT is, when there's no emphasis at all--simply trachomatis. Here, it is the first day of the LMP. But, the lectures are informative and helpful regardless of the mistakes. For conflicts, I always check an FP book or search the web to double check. Don't know where he's assembling his material from, but it seems like for some of it it's the first time he's read it.
super!
I thing we would add days if she have a short cycle.....BTW u r lecture are soo much helpfull
very nice ...i learn a lot from it
Hi dr ) how much time is taking to download all of the obstetric ?)
Dr. Bolin, Is there any way we can get your copy of your PP slides? Thanks for all you do for us!!
SECONDED
You can just screenshot the lectures, you know? He posts his materials for free and depends on revenue from youtube views plus patreon to keep it that way, and I'd like to see he get the compensation he deserve after all that he had done for us. Allowing his slides to spread around the internet wont be good for anyone. You should join and support him on patreon if you want extra freebies.
hahahaha she's not gonna time travel and deliver the baby ......got me hahaha Thanks for the lecture !
20weeks for viability?! That would really be a miracle baby
May your heart find peace
If a woman is pregnant with say 26 weeks but not delivered do we count is as para?
no not considered para yet
@@sarahsenigry8177 I'm sorry But i asked this question so long before that i don't even remember the concept behind it...
But thank you for your reply
what will be the due date if for example : LMP was 25th January 2020?
❤
But after a woman gives birth, she is no longer Gravid. Shouldn't it be G0 after birth?
No it can't be G0 if she had a pregnancy, but technically we don't use that when patient is not pregnant. but for clarification in exam they use it like G1P1.
Nashon Joel G’s in the context of your GTPAL is the number of total pregnancies the patient has ever had.
Please any video on abortion?
37:52 PTAL system practice questions
Don’t you mean the FIRST day of bleeding for LMP? You keep saying last day of bleeding.
No last
@@NewBie-yp8wm the LMP is the first day of endometrial shedding - first day of bleeding.
please do a video on abortion
I think it should be p1Ao / T0P1A0L1
Listen I’m not a woman but it’s crazy how women keep track of these things 😂 well you would too if you bled out of your orifice every month 🤣 great lecture
🩺🧑⚕️👩⚕️📚
