- Locker Nuts episode 295
I partnered up with my buddy Manuel to buy this dusty and mysterious locker from the online auction site Storage Treasures. It intrigued us with the old boxes, cobwebs, and large trunks. We had to see why this old locker looked so... well, OLD... and I'm so glad we pulled the trigger, because the finds were amazing!
Visit Manuel's RUclips channel "Comprando Depositos Abandonados" for more storage adventures.

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate both of your guy’s demeanor. You’re so calm and I really enjoy watching these videos over a meal or before bed. I wish you the best, and really hope you guys make a good profit on this locker 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Trim for sure on the beard. Might want to consider shaving it off; my brother, who is 55, shaved off his beard and now looks 35. Love the channel and enjoy how you appreciate the items you find for what they are--not just a source of revenue but a bit of history and the story of the former owner's life.
Great finds Jack, Great stuff for the auction. BTW Thanks to you and Janna for my shirt!!! It means the world to me and I will wear it proudly and send Janna a picture and get some new subscribers !!!!
Love you too bits but off with the beard loving your family 💚💚💚💚.
Vote for trim/ off with the beard, for it. Thanks!
I'm betting those embroidered pieces are hand-made with silk thread.
I'm picking up my jaw off the floor with those comic books!
Holy Smokes!!!
Wow! I lI ve all the neat finds. Those textiles are fabulous. It would be fun to do research for you. That would be a full-time job. You and Manuel are a great team. Yes, I think you would feel better in the heat with a shorter beard. 😊😊😊
Thanks!
Trimmed and shaped, cause women likes a Sharpe dressed man. I was born in 1959,that was when storage units & auctions were so cheap. We went to government (mostly military) auctions. The story's I could tell you.
Also I lived in Stockton and Manteca. Would travel to all the military bases . You are a great family, and fun to watch.
Great finds, Jack! You’ll get back your money on this unit. Thanks for showing us all your cool finds. I know it’s a lot of work.
Absolutely love this locker! Full of treasure. The rugs, that wall hanging, and the embroidered materials are wonderful. Be looking for them in the auction because I have an idea of how much they are worth!
P.S. The native american rug with the replica of a frog petroglyph is my favorite!
Actually, I’ve been wanting to comment on your beard for a while now, so thanks for the invitation. I feel that about eight out of ten guys trying to pull off a big bushy beard really can’t/shouldn’t. I feel you should go with a short trimmed beard. It would suit your face much better.
My kids try to pull it off pretty often, but it’s on there snugly.
The blankets in the trunk may not have been dry cleaned but just protected by bags they had. Interesting things in that trunk. The contents of that locker showed a wide range of interests. The contents if the locker were really interesting. What a treasure hunt.
Looks like a great comic score and all the old papers on the war are very interesting, stay safe and may God Bless
That 'rug' with the slit in the middle is a poncho! Looks hand-woven. Beautiful find! And the silks and brocades were just lovely. They def had good taste and living over in China didn't hurt their ability to get exc quality things that we aren't even able to set our eyes on. The 'frog' tapestry is South American and looks similar tp the amazon Kokopelli figures. The other tapestries and embroideries are truly exceptional, but the market isn't too interested anymore, but maybe museums might be interested if they have a Chinese section.
liked! you are so right when you said it isn't just the money. like a museum
Another great video Jack. I love seeing all the older stuff your finding. As for a :vote on your beard yes I think it could use a trim. 😊👍
That avengers 196 1st task master is a hot comic right now
Thanks!
I like watching you because u take pleasure in the simplest thing .
Thanks Sandra!
Those news papers are a great find
The comics are great. Like to see you trim your beard x
Vote for trim... got it. Thanks!
My maiden name is Upton. Hi Rona!😊
Hi that's so cool x
@@ronaupton8607 Are you in the UK? I am, I live in Chester, it is 20miles from Liverpool. The funny thing is there are 2 places called Upton near to Chester.🙂
I live close to Coventry. I've seen them places with our last name. X
8:00 That is a case that held a short Katana(Ninja Sword) in its scabbard. The sword is sharp enough to literally cut someone in half.
I love seeing you guys get excited about stuff. But it is good seeing all the really interesting stuff
Been waiting for video 2! Lol
Wasn't there an Asian Auction Appraisal warehouse somewhere near you???? May wish to take the rugs there.
It would be wise to invest in some plastic sleeves for the older and rarer comic books pius the old newspapers from the forties!
Okay I'm officially geeking out on the comics. Some of those I had as a kid.
God bless you and your family and another great video and thanks for sharing and great finds in this unit and I think the The beard looks awesome keep them great videos coming and I send you and your love ones lots of blessings always
All those comics you guys found were awesome! I'm a huge fan of comics and graphic novels! There were a lot of cool books! Death of superman and world without of superman are a few favorite comic books in my own collection I've read those a few times! Locker Nuts really like this channel!
I vote to trim the beard. :)
Your vote is in. Thanks!😀
Just a trim. Before it walks off 😂💕
Jack Amazon sells rechargeable battery operated fans. They can really make a difference in all the heat and you can put them any where without worrying about where you have to plug them in. Great for camping also.
Great tip Yumiko. Thanks! I should point one right at the phone. I also figured out that taking it out of the leather case will likely keep the heat down also, although then I have to be even more careful about not dropping it.
I am enjoying your unboxings very much. As for the beard, I personally would like to see it trimmed much shorter. BUT, I think you should discuss it with Janna before you start cutting it. After all, she looks at you a lot more than you do.
She looks at me more than I do, so that’s a good plan!
Jack,
The cloth and the stitched art in that trunk could have some real value
They are worth the time to have evaluated by someone who knows the business
I framed Japanese thread work where the thread was wound with gold, in fact, I think it was Japan or China where there was a forbidden stitch.
Very young people would work on these renderings and many would have their site impaired because of the fineness of the stitching.
The things in that locker where stored with care, this is one worthy of attention.. you did very well:)
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Thanks Rik!
Hi you two, boy they are old how much is a comic today? I pray you both do very well from this unite. 👍👍👍💚💙❤️😂😂🤗
I would want to read all the comics before I sold them 😂🤣 I grew up with 4 brothers so I got to read a lot of them.🤣😂
What did you do with 1940's newspapers? Are you auctioning them? Just wondering. Love your guy's video's. Stay safe and stay healthy. Cut it short, or shave it.
Was anyone else hoping Jack would tell us the date on the old newspaper 😊😁....thanks Jack! 🙌👏
Those old papers are so cool! I would be shocked if they weren’t worth money!
Can’t wait!!!! Enjoy all your videos!!
Yes a trim would be good
Great video lockernuts! Looking forward to each new find 😁
More to come!
@@LockerNuts (sigh) I hate waiting. 🤣🤣
The fabric is beautiful!
This really is a cool unit!! Some of their items are so unusual and eccentric! That poncho was super cool and some of those blankets. I bet the record “We are the World” is worth some money 💰 I think that clay piece was the nativity scene....wayyyyy cool! Now, for the beard, if you put rubber bands in it you could be that guy from Cyndi Lauper’s video...papa don’t preach! But, I say trim it! What does Janna say??? That’s the one that matters ❤️❤️❤️
This is an excellent unit! Hoping you make a lot off of it! The rugs are $150 or more
Amazing locker! Check everything before you sell it to cheap !
I’ll bet a collector would love those newspapers!
I lot the newspapers for a live auction it could bring good money
Hi, at 13:18 in your video, those embroidered square patches appear to be Chinese, Qing dynasty Mandarin Officials’ rank badges. They would have one sewn to the front and back of their uniforms. The animal signifying their job and rank in the government. Should be very rare and expensive. Awesome finds! CP
Thanks for the tip! I think Manuel has that, so I sent him your note so he can give it more attention.
Awesome!!! Can’t wait to see what the other two great finds are. 💕
What a history loaded locker? I would love that one
I love beards, but maybe it could use a shape.:LOL
Congratulations New England Fish!
Jack, before you start "guessing" on what each comic is worth as they "look so good" just bring the pile to a comic book store to get their experience on what conditions these comics are really in
If you dont know get help is always the best policy. Good luck
Ahhhgggh! I hate you guys! I love you guys! Such awesome finds! Yes you should have a special auction for the comics...and please don't speed up the video when you're going through them. They're all fun to look at! Get the camera closer and tell us the issue numbers please. Congrats on another great locker! God Bless!
I love old stuff too!
Hi, Jack (Mr. Locker Nut 🥜 ) I think if some of those comics are in as great shape as they look my friend I would think about getting them graded, for the prices are like night and day, just the comic, Ka-Zar daredevil meets X-Men out right sale for bucks, graded sale up wards of 900.00 that’s just AMAZING! Worth to think about some grading to be done, Sir 🥜
Thanks! I do plan to get some graded. I just got a subscription to CGC, and I'm going to send in my first lot, including some of these. I'll make a video about it when I do.
You can get polish that will clean up the scuffs on the turntable cover
dude drills his thumb into the spine , your killing me smalls hahahah
Those cigar boxes are beautiful! They will sell!
Those wall hangings are real collectibles. Money!
It’s TIME. To go!!
Gr8 locker Jack... Certainly lots of history and historical find's in this one... Love the Comic book collection that may put you in a different tax bracket...lol...😂 OH btw you should trim up the beard I think you will like it and Jenna will certainly love it... You'll look much younger too... Stay safe buddy...👍💕🔥⚾🙏😷
Beautiful poncho!
Great locker a lot of history in there
oh my, take your time on this one, old hi-fi $$$, old ping pong $$$, all those embroidered items $$$, yes the owners took care of their stuff
You know I enjoy this locker!
1977 Great year! My first daughter was born that year.
Wade Ventures sells shells on his auction I think he has the buyer pay for the shipping though on that. Most items include shipping but not on rocks or shells. He always sell them
Nice quilt!
Doctor Seuss stuff can be a lot of money
Your beard is getting new growth in the center and so that is why it is splitting, I would not give up the beard but would consider getting a good trim to help with the new growth. The beard is pretty much your trade mark Jack, don't get rid of it, I also like you longer hair that you have been rockin since the covid with your curly hair it really looks good. That was a great video looking forward to the promised even better next one.
As always a great, very interesting video. I think a trim and some beard oil. I know some of them smell really good. What does Jenna think? My son puts 3 hair ties about 1/2' apart. 😊
when looking at comics, try to figure out the publication year. comics from before 1948 are a lot rarer and more valuable than comics from after 1948. this is due to the comic book burnings of 1948. stuff from before that can be incredibly valuable even if it's in poor condition.
Great finds. I'm also waiting for the expensive KIMONOS
We didn’t find any unfortunately. But probably could make one with the fabric.
@@LockerNuts that silk if Japanese is high quality, keep it.
I keep telling you how to do this LOL I'm sure you know exactly what to do Jack 😆
I’m just now watching this and curious as to if the art work from the trunk was ever appraised or auctioned. Is this revealed in later videos?
I like how you’re having a garage sale even without knowing the laws. It will be fine! Although, it’s California! Good luck.
I think basket and embroidered piece are "Aztec"
Get the silver surfer #7 if you think it'll get a good grade. A 7.0 graded one went for $250 on ebay
The cloth pieces in the trunk look like they might be silk.
That leather satchel will clean up well with leather polish
The embroidered pieces can go for thousands
Good luck for on the garage sale 💕
Jack, Cover price does not always equate to high value. I have ten cent comics that are only worth a couple of dollars and they are in 7.5 - 9.0 condition. The biggest Factors to consider are Condition, Condition, Condition....Title, And whether or not it is a key book. (Key books are when there is a special appearance or happening in a book) See my answer to Lo 777 Below...
I would love to find old comics like that, but for me, this would have been an insane gamble at $3500, considering there wasn't a single thing of value based on the photos.
People love vinyl now! Records are being made again!!!
Funny how trends come and go. I'm happy they're back!
Yes trim it
Is it not ManWell? I could be wrong maybe short for Immanuel
Jack that was great video a lot of old vintage stuff you going to make plenty of money you in a manual I can see Emmanuel hands itching Spanish people say when your hands are itching you're going to get money depending if is right or left right money comes in left money goes out love your channel Jack thank you so much I really appreciate you putting out these videos I live in Spain I wish I can support your channel more but I think subscribing to it and sharing it and hitting that like button supporting you a lot if I ever move back to the States I will become a member guaranteed God bless you and your family and can't wait to see the next video peace out all the way from Spain💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈😁😎
The newspapers are what makes me want to do this kind of work. I saw you on a live last week with a few other resellers talking about your line of work. Do you have a video going more in depth on the type of licenses you need to start in this field?
You don't really need anything to start in it. Once you start selling items, at least in California, you're supposed to get a resale license from the state. But nothing stopping anyone from starting out as a hobby. It's really fun!
Great video I always enjoy your videos! Time to trim the beard🙂
those comics... whoa
For real, huh?
@@LockerNuts The whisky is Scottish and pronounced Glenfiddick.
You would look so much younger without the beard.🤗
Take the fabric to a speciality type fabric store to find it’s worth
We sold it in our live auction... we have some very knowledgeable collectors bidding in our auctions too.
The beard is attractive on you Alex. I think trimming it would be very good so it's shaped to your face. Now it looks like two patches ending in a point.
They make beard oil and I would like to see it trimmed
keep the beard! A man needs one, just go to a barber that does beards too! i hesitated a bit but went for it and it was wonderful!
Nice score maybe fu Manchu type beard brings good juju bit I'd prob cut it
Is that life changing comic book money.
No, not life changing. Just fun money.
Keep the beard. I know I’m late but that’s what I vote for
hope you have an expert to show all these fabrics and blankets to - lots of dollars there
The Hulk 105 &106 think seen is like number 15 Hulk ran few comics then changed name the went back to The Incredible Hulk at 101. Those 2 should be easily a C note.
Thanks!
