I'd like to thank you for doing this comparison video. I was torn between the two mowers. We went with the Titan max for our 3 acre property. We've mowed twice and it is an absolute beast! So far we are very happy with our purchase. The transmission will make a little noise here and there like people have mentioned but I don't think it's a big deal. This thing really is a beast!

If anything, YOU are the one not comparing "apples to apples" when you bring up the 2000 HD. If you're referring to the "HD 2000" that's a discontinued model. If you're talking about the 2000 HDX, that is a professional mower that costs several thousand dollars more. You're the one who sounds like you're making a commercial, not the guy in the video.

Now that the Titan with MyRide has the 26 hp Kohler, would you go with that? If it had the zt-3100, I would have bought it yesterday. However, the zt-2800 is basically the zt-3100 but with sintered gears vs cut. Toro adds the charge pump to the zt-2800 making it closer to zt-3100. My back is bad too, so MyRide is more desirable. My dad just bought the Titan with my ride. This years models both came with the kohler engine. My huge complaint is the control handles were very hard to push. Im young and my elbows and shoulders would be shot after 1 hr of mowing. Also the handles dont spring back to neutral position. Does the titan max handles act the same? The hydraulic damper is so stuff could be on a small cars suspension. We are debating returning it to TSC and looking at a badboy, kubota, or bobcat.

Well yeah when you try and cut 12" height grass at mach 10 most machines will bog a little. Top speed is really irrelevant. If you want a good cut you don't cut full speed. Those tires are way too aggressive and roll bars just get in the way. Frame size is so miniscule different. It's a lawn mower not a atv. I wouldn't give up the Myride, gas guage, and better brake for the Max. The only benefit I see is the higher back of the seat on the Max. Everything else is trivial.

Great video. Very informative! I'm looking for a little more info before deciding between these 2 models. Only $100 difference at my local Toro dealer. I have 5 acres of property, 2 of which I keep as yard, the balance as pasture. I've been using my Massey 1532 with a 60" finish mower to mow the 2 acres. It takes all of 2 hours (plus cutting in with a push mower). My wife, who had triple bypass surgery a year ago has offered to mow if I buy a ZTR (my tractor is little out of her comfort zone). I was looking at the Ferris ISX800 due to the full suspension (~$2,300 more out the door). Recently a friend mentioned the Toro MyRIDE models. So I started looking at them. In my opinion, having not used either the Ferris or a MyRIDE model, I would think that the MyRIDE system would provide a more consistent cut as the deck isn't moving around with the suspension. Does this make sense? Bottom line I'm looking for quality ZTR that will provide a smooth ride for my wife. I can't seem to find any info on the Toro Titan Max relative to the seat. Does it have any suspension features on it? Any adjustment? Does anyone have any first hand experience that may help me decide? Any info would be greatly appreciated. - Thanks, Pete

A few major things there for me. 1) The ROPS, it's an $825 +shipping/tax option on the MyRIDE. 2) The seat belt, a small thing but it does add some sense of security when mowing on a slope. 3) The heavy gauge welded frame = long term durability. 4) Easier access to the belt vs. the MyRIDE. I need to go to my local dealer and put some hands on these guys and make a decision! Thanks again for all you help. - Pete

I just wanted to circle back after making my decision and purchase... I demoed the MyRide 54" w/the Kohler and the MAX. My pick was the MAX. Just too many pluses with the MAX that I couldn't ignore. Initial use this weekend was incredible. Thanks again for your help! - Pete

I have to say that you do get much more on the Max than the Myride for the same money. I think it's a no brainer that one would go with the new Max.

The price he’s quoting is no longer relevant due to Plandemic’ pricing. They went up considerably like many other brands except for Encore brand. Encore is now owned by Chinese Billionaire that has his own steel foundry; hence they didn’t increase their pricing due to steel costs in America.

My wife and I bought the Titan Max 60” and, after just 4 hours, the main belt pulley bolt snapped. I called Home Depot in Warner Robins, GA, but they’re not in the business of “fixing” sold mowers, so they said ”call a Toro service center,” which means NOTHING since EVERYONE of those service centers is INDEPENDENT.
So, the independent mower shop’s first question is…”did you buy it from US? If not, the warranty means NOTHING.”
I called Toro HQ and they said the same thing…without apologies.
Thankfully, the good people at Home Depot said “bring us your repair invoice and we’ll refund you the cost.”
Meanwhile, and $110 dollars later, our neighborhood expert power equipment guys at Giles Outdoor Power serviced our Titan Max, having had to extract the remaining broken bolt from the deck housing and replaced it with one made in the USA, not the Chinese one that came with the mower.
Yeah, Toro, get your fake warranty and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. Otherwise, FANTASTIC product.

Definitely an eXmark! They are bullet proof. You can get a new Quest S for about $4400+/-

Im not sure if anyone else here has mentioned this, but if you do a "K" turn, you will be less likely to tear up any grass. I do have a few videos on this subject on my channel, check it out. Love your content, New subscriber here!
I just purchased a Toro Z Master series 5000 60 inch deck. I have not yet had a chance to run it yet though! Looking forward to the spring.

Thank you. Yes, I could have been a bit more gentle and do that K turn but wanted to use it like I normally would on the farm and drive them both the same.
      Glad to have you here!

NOW..How does the Titan MAX compare with the Z-Master 2000 (or even the Z-4000)
Also it would be nice if Toro gave you the option for the Kawasaki Engine.
Other than that nice video. BTW: Isn't the Max 'larger' dimension wise then then Regular Titan?
It may not seem that much but if you are short on storage space it is...

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  3 года назад

Thanks. That would be nice if they gave me another pro model but I won't hold my breath.
The MAX is larger being on the old HD2000 frame. It is about 1.5 inches taller and a few inches longer.
