I bought custom molded IEM's (in ear monitors) a few years ago because I wanted to up my music listening game with the benefit of sound dampening as well. These ones were pretty cheap in the world of IEMs and the audio wasn't crazy good or anything but it was a revelation for good fitting earbuds. I always wear them now when running equipment outside or woodworking tools in the shop. I think I spent around $150. I think any audiologist can take molds and should be able to set you up with the other stuff too. Not having to wear big ear muffs while saving whats left of my hearing has been nice.
For ear pro Bose QC25’s (active noise cancellation) with a $50 Bluetooth adapter off Amazon. Best $ spent. I use them everywhere (yard work, gym, airplanes, watching RUclips when wife doesn’t wanna listen in, etc).
i recommend 3m worktunes wireless. i listen to the radio breakfast show on them until 10am, then switch over the bluetooth for the rest of the day. ive had them for over 4 years wearing them 8 hours a day on the golf course. still going strong !

I use the same. The only thing about any over the ear headphone is trying to get a good seal around the ear with any kind of glasses or a wide hat to keep sun off of your neck. I’ve also tried ear buds with ear muffs over the top. Same issues though with getting a good seal
