      That'll change. Hisense, in the last 3 years, is making some serious leaps in technology with their mini LED, quantum dot panels. So much so, Sony jumped on the train as fast as they could. Hisense' ULED U8K in particular has deep blacks and coloration like a $3,000 OLED, for $1,200.
      As far as I'm concerned, the writing is on the wall for OLED's. In the next 4 or so years, there will be a massive shift towards these mini LED quantum dot TV's. They're more affordable and now get better picture quality than OLED's, without any of the reliability problems of OLED's.

    I just purchased the 2023 Q80C 55" two days ago. It was manufactured this month so it doesn't get any newer than that. Sadly no stores in my area had this tv on display so we could view before buying. Sound is better than my previous TCL 6 series and the picture is really nice. I miss not being able to pause live tv which is a feature all tvs should have today. The remote is very basic but does get you to all the features and settings. I wish remotes still had numbers on them. The picture is nice and does have good depth too. Motion in sports is just ok. I watch English Premier League soccer and Major League Baseball and there is lag and blurring with the ball movement. I had a Sony 7 years ago that was better with ball movement. We streamed 4k content and the picture was great and I think movies and tv shows view very well on this tv. We will watch more this coming week to see if it is worth keeping or if we should return it for something better.

    @dejanharapinyt Год назад +4

    Honestly, the Q70B is the best mid range tv imo. In my country you get a 65 inch Q70B for 900eur. Proven tech, VA panel, 120Hz, same tech (apps and VRR and such, not same panel tech) as Q80C or Q80B, just cheaper and in my opinion a better cinema room tv. The 80 (A, B and C) series is only better in a very bright living room, or from a 45 degree angle. But he Q80 series has blooming and worse contrast, so not as good for movies and dark or semi dark room watching.
    If anyone watches tv from the fron how it is ment to be watched, or can make a room be anything but very bright, then the Q70 (T, A, B and C) probably are better options. I honestly think the Q70 series in an underlooked series of tvs. Better for cinema watching on a budget then the Q80 series AND has no burn in as OLEDs.
    Please review the Q70C series. I really want to know if it holds up to the Q80C and where it might be better.

    • @abtelectronics
      @abtelectronics  Год назад +2

      @fabianagrecco4024 The QN85C is part of Samsung's Neo QLED lineup so it uses mini LEDs for a backlight. The Q80C uses regular LEDs. The QN85C does not have the rainbow effect since it doesn't have the anti-glare coating like the QN95B, however, the QN95B has the better picture of the two models. I’m supposed to have another one delivered and installed today hoping that they’ll deliver one without any backlight bleeds at all. I thought they’ve all been defective. But if this is normal for these TV’s maybe I don’t need to do this again for a 5th time. Honestly it’s been exhausting because I’ve never seen that on the TV’s in the stores. @@gambit550 I still saw a little bleed in my 4th TV. I had a delivery exchange scheduled but this time with Geek Squad coming out. The day before they came I read that this seemed like a common issue. When Geek Squad got here they immediately recognized the bleed I was concerned about. They said that it was normal for these TV’s & no matter how many exchanges I do there’s gonna be a little bleed in all of them because of the LED strip across the bottom. In my experience with 4 of these TV’s…the bleed is worse on some and not so bad on others. & on my TV the bleed is not stuck in one spot. They said it would be an issue if it was stuck in one spot on everything you watch. The small bleed shows depending on how certain scenes are lit in whatever I’m watching. & it only shows at the bottom when watching something with the top and bottom black bars. It doesn’t show when watching something full screen. And it’s funny how you can’t see that in the stores because the rooms are so bright that it’s not recognizable. They told me the only sure way to not see any bleed at all was to consider an OLED. More money. That’s wild to me. The 65” Q80C is a $1400 TV. I got it on sale but this still shouldn’t be an issue on any TV on sale or at that regular price. I kept the TV because the actual picture looks incredible & full screen content is great…& I’m not paying more money for an OLED right now. I still have small bleed across the bottom on certain stuff but it’s not krazy. I’ve been brand loyal but this has me second guessing that for future TV purchases. If I considered an OLED, the OLED they recommended me was the Sony - 65" class BRAVIA XR A75L OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV. Hope this helps..but if you still end up getting a Q80C to test for yourself…comment back and let me know your experience. I’d love to know if this is truly a widespread issue.

      @@abtelectronics update , a couple hours ago I just purchased the Samsung Neo QLED 4K QN85C in 65 inch , what’s the difference between the QN85C vs Q80C ?

    • @abtelectronics
      @abtelectronics  6 месяцев назад +1

      @mazdaman1982 The biggest difference is the addition of the Mini LED backlighting in the QN85C. Other differences include better HDR handling on the QN85C and a better built in audio system. The changes aren't major, but those Mini LEDs do give you a brighter picture and better control of the dimming throughout the picture.

      @teds7379 It's hard to say. We don't have the Q82C in our market (United States) so we aren't able to do a direct comparison. Based on the specs listed, they should provide similar pictures. As far as the QN90C goes, yes, it's a noticeably better picture with those mini LEDs.

The Google OS offers a wider selection of apps to choose from, but if you don't use anything other than the basic streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video, you could honestly flip a coin to decide.
